I would say that this spa is OK, and I have been to plenty better. I gave this place 2 tries as its right around the corner from the house I stay at while in Cape May. I have gotten plenty of massages from many places, so I am able to tell what is quality and what is not. I also used to manage one of Toppers spas while I was in college. I would give this place a 5. The customer service is not great by the front desk. The massages are just OK ,and mine was cut short the second time. The facility itself is very nice though. But I would save your money and wait until you are able to go to another spa. The only reason this place gets much business is because there are only two spas in cape may and a lot of people don't know any better. read more

I went to the Cape May Day Spa for a spa pedicure and I was very disappointed. I have gotten a much better pedicure at much less expensive places. They advertised this pedicure that sounding amazing and it was such a let down. I did not leave there with my feet feeling better, I just paid a lot of money for really nothing. Dirty and old furnishings up front (where you sit AFTER your treatment) gave me the creeps. A bug in my chai tea added to my negative experience. Ew! The massage was fine, but the place is not maintained. Considering their high prices, they should spend more on cleanliness and cushions. My second bad experience. I will not go back. read more

While on vacation, I called last minute for a color and cut appointment. Vicki said "come on over, and I'll do my best to get it all done for you in between my other appointments". And, sure enough, she did! Not only did she go out of her way to accommodate my spur of the moment hair cut; she also took great care in choosing the right color mix and applying it well. The color is perfect, the hair cut is exactly what I had in mind, and Vicki was an absolute pleasure to chat with. I highly recommend her services! As for the salon itself - it's doesn't look like much, being in a strip mall, without all the fancy accouterments found in your usual high-class beauty salon, but in this case looks are deceiving. My sister and I made appointments for 80 minute massage with reflexology at the last minute during a girls' weekend in Cape May. Gloria was very helpful as we booked our services on the cell phone while driving on the Garden State Parkway. Took advantage of mid week spring break special pricing. Nice robes to change into, water and tea, if you want, after your service. There was some noise from a delivery truck outside my treatment room for which the therapist apologized (I had said nothing about it). Owner was apologetic as well as gave me a nice meditation candle for my troubles. Overall a pleasant experience, nice flow to the facility and good massages. read more

Birthday celebration was a BUST! Rushed in, rushed through just a fair massage (get them frequently so I know a good massage not even close) , rushed thru getting changed and getting out and I quote " we have other people coming in for services" watched over by therapist so we moved along as quick as possible... Not relaxing experience at all. I am a local and will not be back. Customer service not a priority just moving what felt like cattle along. Don't waste your money! read more

The woman doing my pedicure was 30 minutes late to my appointment. The one manager who set up my foot bath made the water so hot that even when cold water was added it was still super hot and it burned my feet and legs. The other manager told to manacuriste to give me an express pedicure right in front of me, my 50 minute pedicure with an invigorating massage was a 30 minute polish with a slab of moisturizer. DO NOT RECCOMEND IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!! Although horrible they did not charge me for the service. They tried to fix everything at the very end rather then rectifying the situation throughout, making a relaxing time not so relaxing. read more

Well...I may not be as "experienced " as some of those who posted...but I can tell you the entire experience was great. My wife and I did the "Victorian Couples Spa" package...private room..20 min jacuzzi soak followed by a 50 massage with Marya and Hope. Incredibly relaxing and well worth the cost. Cheese platter, chocolates and tea afterwards. Looking forward to coming back. Great start to the long Valentine's Day Weekend. read more

I received a massage here recently as part of a gift from my mom. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect since some of the reviews aren't too kind, but I'm SO glad I came. Barb, the spa manager, came to greet me when I walked in. She was courteous and polite and made me feel very welcome and relaxed. The ambiance of the spa is so relaxing as soon as you walk in; the scent, the lightning, the music, the calm demeanor of the staff. It's such a great atmosphere! My massage therapist, Linda, worked away on my body, focusing on my lower back, just as I had requested. Afterwards, I enjoyed some tea while I finished relaxing in the lounge room. I had a wonderful 80 min Swedish massage with Mayra two days before my wedding. It was a great stress reliever! From the moment you arrive until you step out of the door, you are treated like royalty. The atmosphere is so relaxing and soothing. I wish I could give them zero stars. Their customer service is terrible. I had booked there for a bridal spa, and tried due to travel constraints to rearrange the time. I had called them 3 hours ahead to tell them I would be an hour late, but they immediately said I'd have to pay for the entire thing and they wouldn't even try to change the time. So I was left paying 150 for services that were never rendered and a lot of stress the day before my wedding. A company with good customer service would have understood, at least attempted to see if ither clients were willing to rearrange, as it was for a wedding. They did none of this. read more

I can't comment on any other service but the "Signature Manicure & Pedicure". I received one last weekend and have to say they have no business charging $140 for this service. It was no better than a normal mani/pedi I get anywhere else for a quarter of the price. I expected an amazing spa experience yet there I was in a small area partitioned off from the waiting area getting nothing but a normal treatment aside from the mud mask - which was frankly worth nothing. No foot or hand massage, no quiet time, nothing exceptional. And while I was basically in this waiting area, another employee sat there putting together packets of something I guess to be sold in the store. Shouldn't that be done in a separate work area? My polish job was atrocious as well - less that 24 hours later it was clumpy and chipped. To top it off I was told that normally it would have been more because I got a french but they gave me a break. MORE?? Someone is paying $140 and they would charge more just because the manicure was a french? That's ABSURD. If I had not been in a wedding and there with the bride, I would have asked to spek to a manager and probably refused to pay the full price, however I was not going to make the bride uncomfortable on her day. But bottom line is that the charge for this service is obscene and I have paid less for better service at Center City Philadelphia Spas that have a 10 times nicer atmosphere. I am not one to take time to write reviews however I was so appalled at this experience in relation to the cost that I had to do something. read more

Wow-what a huge disappointment! Cape May Day Spa is a sham! The inside is less than average, and definitely not "ultra high-end". Upon arrival we were taken to a dingy waiting room and given cheap, thin bathrobes. For the money we paid for a couples massage we were expecting great things, but instead we got a glorified rub down in a cold room, and they only covered us with a crappy towel that was too small to cover me and my fiance down to our feet. The massage therapist did mostly rubbing, and not a great massage. My neck and back ached when I walked in and they hurt just as much when I left. I didn't even feel like I had gotten a massage. Their "chai tea lounge" is a joke, and nothing more than a small room with a few tables-nothing fancy or relaxing at all. As we were "checking out" the receptionist told us that we owed her $100 more than we expected, and she claimed that we had called previously and "upgraded" our massage which never happened. We refused to pay her for the "upgraded" massage, and she got an attitude with us and insisted that we received the services and were obligated to pay. Long story short, she was trying to rip us off, and we didn't pay. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN AND I RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE GOES TO THIS CRAPPY "DAY SPA". You can get far better massages and spa services for far better prices. read more
