they charged me almost $300 for a just okay massage and I had to listen to kids playing mini golf the entire time. They think they give a much better service than you actually receive and they charge accordingly. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and go elsewhere read more

I was going to spa Avalon for ten plus years but stopped last year when the regular manicures went up to $55. The salt spa in SH is much nicer and charges $40 for the same service. read more

Just make sure you check their price list before you go in...I ran in for a pedicure before the weekend and went up to the desk to be charged $75, I was kind of caught off guard and I was so confused. It was just a regular pedicure, nothing special...just because I live in Avalon doesn't mean I like to throw money away, I will definitely go elsewhere next time, I could have gotten a pedicure and new shoes for that price. Wonderful I got a massage from Laura - she been a massage therapist for years and her experience and passion shows. It was one of the best massages I have ever gotten. Ever. She went far beyond just going through the motions. She felt where I needed work and spent time finessing those trouble spots - without making the rest of the massage felt rushed at all. I went to Spa Avalon this weekend March 13th and 14th, 2020 , it was part of the Girl's weekend trip package. I had a fantastic experience at the spa. On Friday I received a deep tissue massage from a young lady. ( I am so bad with names) I can't remember the young lady's name, she has brunette hair. She was very friendly and the massage was out of this world. The following day I had an appointment for a gel manicure. The young lady with short haircut also brunette hair was so friendly and very informative of all the great shops on the strip that are excellent for shopping. The young lady-blonde (receptionist at the front desk) was also friendly ,welcoming and informative also. I give this place a 5 s for cleansiness and excellent customer service. The only thing I would say is that the nail salon needs a nail drying station or machine. Thanks a million to the ladies at Spa Avalon. read more

The space itself was very cute (if a little tight) and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. However, I would not get another pedicure from here. It was much more expensive than city prices and after 3 hours (after drying fully and wearing the flip flops provided) both my big toes had scuff marks and missing paint. Normally my pedicure will last at least a month and I already feel like I need it redone. I would come back however for massages/other services since as I mentioned it is a nice space. read more

This spa is the best of the BEST! I had no idea it even existed until my mom surprised me (and a few of my bridesmaids) with a spa day this past weekend. Spa Avalon opened for just us and it was amazing!!! Everything about this spa is lovely! The staff is incredible, the spa is beautiful and the services were absolute perfection. The massage was incomparable to any other I've EVER experienced and the pedicure, although it's been over a week since I got it, looks like I finished drying my polish only hours ago. I had my cousin's bachelorette party in Avalon at the very end of May. I contacted spa Avalon to get more information about the packages for the girl and spoke with Carly. She was so accommodating and nice, booked me right away and said she would be more than willing to let us have mimosas and breakfast while we were getting pampered. A couple of days before she sent me an email saying she was looking forward to having us, and when we arrived, the food that was ordered and already delivered was out and the champagne and orange juice was out and waiting for us to have some. My massage was AMAZING (exactly what I needed) and the bride said hers was perfect. I also got a mani and pedi with some long-lasting polish that lasted way longer than it usually does. The other girls ha such a great time too. The price was great for the amazing services that Spa Avalon has to offer, not to mention how nice all of the women were and especially how Carly went out of her way to make our day special. I went here with a few girlfriends to celebrate my bachelorette party and we had an EXCELLENT time! All of the staff was so lovely, warm, and welcoming and clearly cared about us having a good time. The woman at the front desk even made us brownies and encouraged us to drink mimosas! The services were also fantastic - we all got packages with 2 - 3 services and felt incredibly relaxed at the end. The massages were definitely favorites for us all, but the facials and nail services were also really enjoyable and effective. Celebrating a milestone birthday with my three best friends from high school. We decided to treat ourselves to a spa day. From the moment we walked in, and met the owner, Carly, it was delightful. My masseuse, Francine, was excellent, but I knew that from her handshake! My facial was top-notch, as well. The "beach house" theme is so bright and refreshing, and the staff so accommodating, it would have been impossible NOT to come out of there happy and satisfied. I called around to different places in South Jersey, but many of the spa services at different places were outrageously priced! I finally found Spa Avalon online, and I saw that they host bachelorette parties. Their prices are extremely reasonable. We each chose a package with mini spa services. Carly was a pleasure to work with. She promptly answered any questions I had leading up to the bachelorette party. When we arrived, we were taken to a private space that had a kitchen and a lounge area with couches and seating so that we could relax together while we were waiting for our services. It was a beautiful space. We were allowed to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy in this space. Carly supplied plates, napkins, etc. The rest of the staff was friendly and everyone raved about their services. Everyone left feeling relaxed and refreshed. We brought our friend here to kick off her bachelorette weekend. The packages were very reasonable in price and flexible so everyone could get what they wanted. They let us bring food and set up in the upstairs suite so we could have privacy. Everyone seemed to love what they had done and everyone was extremely friendly and professional. Great massage! We get massages while on vacation and after a week of hauling beach stuff to and fro and walking around town 900 times, I definitely needed a massage and this place delivered! Francine customized the massage and went crazy deep tissue where needed and medium relaxing pressure on other areas. I walked out feeling totally refreshed. My husband got the deep tissue all over and when we left he said his shoulders and back felt better than they had in MONTHS! Definitely coming back here again! read more

I went here this past weekend for a gel manicure. It is quiet, clean and pleasant atmosphere. However, there was only person to do manicures in a very small room. They told me on the phone that they would be able to fit my friend and I in each for a gel manicure in an hour and half but it ended up taking so long for my manicure that my friend did not have time to get hers done. When my friend told the lady at the front desk that we had to leave after she was finished with mine, and she wouldn't be able to get hers done, she said "well I thought it was a stretch". After spending $40 I went outside and noticed that you could see through my newly painted nails. I had gotten a dark grey and she had obviously not done enough coats. I returned to the spa to show the lady that you could see through my nails in the sun. She was slightly argumentative about the fact that was normal and it only showed through on the top where my nail bed ended. They said they could re-do it but it would take another hour (which I didn't have since I was late to a wedding activity) and when I asked if I could come back later they said they were booked that day and the next all day. I left very displeased. It is now 4 days after my gel manicure and my left pointer finger is chipped!!! I will never go back here and do not recommend it. read more
