I recently had a root canal at Capehart Dental. Dr. Capehart and his staff made me feel so at ease. To give you some perspective, I am a 33 yr. old male that has never had any major dental work done simply because of fear. Dr. Capehart put those fears to rest for me. I typically go in to a Dental office to use my yearly insurance for cleanings and to gain a detailed list of what is needed to get my teeth in tip top shape. Every time I do it ends up being the same ol same ol. Too expensive and more importantly fear of the pain. Needless to say I never go back. Dr. Capehart was recommended to my famiy and I by a family member. We live in Plano and Dr. Capehart is in Lewisville. I was a little hesitant about going to see him simply because of the distance from my home. Im glad I did. I need 4 root canals, fillings and most likely braces. my 7 yr old son went to have his teeth cleaned along with my Wife and 4 yr old daughter. He puts the care of his patients at level I have not seen from the numerous dentists I have been to since adulthood. He was very gentle with my kids and they felt really comfortable which made me feel comfortable. The hours of operation there are really convenient with after hours and Saturday appointments. I just had my root canal the Saturday before last. 02/09/2013. I was really nervous, because yes I am a big baby when it comes to pain in my mouth, hello? who isnt?. It took about an hour and a half to do the root canal and several fillings. I had a TV above my head to watch so I was sitting pretty. Believe me when I say this, I literally had no pain through the entire process and my tooth is feeling great today. I will be going back to finish the other 3 root canals and fillings and I will be making Capehart Dental my lifetime family Dentist. I'm hesitant to post a review on Yelp based on my experience on this site with an earlier posting but I am such a fan of Capehart Dental that I am giving it a whirl again. My entire family loves and trusts his practice - 6 mouths full of teeth from 19 to 91 years old so the issues we have addressed are all over the place. Our loyalty to this office, which has spread to several friends, co-workers and total strangers via our recommendation, began very shortly after Dr. Capehart opened this office several years ago. The facility, equipment and services offered have changed occasionally to keep up-to-date with dental care practices, but Dr. Capehart has remained the most caring, skilled and informative dentist I have ever seen. My earlier review on Yelp which was 5 star was removed very shortly after my posting but any negative review remained - hmmm. Reading through any negative comments still riding on the post site, I see a very common thread of disgruntled people whose problems lie with insurance coverage, their desire to choose advertising formats for someone else' business, a resentment of being informed of the myriad of dental procedures both functional and cosmetic that are available (these same folks might find reason to complain if they were NOT told of an available option) or a financial difficulty. None of the reviews found anything negative to say about the services performed by Dr. Capehart or his skill. Isn't the care and repair of teeth what these reviews are supposed to be about? If one peruses other review sites, the evidence is clear that Dr. Capehart is a superior dentist. I can personally attest to that clear-cut fact. read more

We LOVE Capehart Dental! My husband has a "million dollar mouth" that has had lots of dental work done over the years. Unfortunately, it was time to have more work done. When we moved to Lewisville, we wanted to find a really awesome dental office. Dr. Capehart worked with us and really listened to our needs and concerns then offered the best solutions. He was knowledgeable but never pushy or rude. I had a horrible experience at a previous dental office when I got a crown so I hadn't been to the dentist in 3 years. However, when my husband came home and told me how wonderful Capehart Dental was, I finally took the plunge and scheduled a cleaning. I had a great experience but was not looking forward to going back to have a filling and crown done. But Dr. Capehart and his staff were truly amazing putting me at ease and making me enjoy the dentist again. My 3 year old daughter recently had her first dental cleaning and she did not want to leave! Dr. Capehart and the dental hygienist were just wonderful. They explained everything and let my girl hold the instruments so she was comfortable with the process. Everyone was so patient and really worked hard to make our experience perfect. These people are great! I've had a handful of cleanings and a couple fillings, and the entire staff is easy to work and get along with, friendly, polite, and makes you very comfortable. They always personally greet me, and they are great with communication while you're there in the office, or at home. The office is very clean and inviting, which is great too! Liz, who is the office manager, is wonderful! A few days ago I had a dental emergency that required me to make an emergency trip to the office. The staff was able to work me in, and responded to my call on the emergency line in a very timely manner. The most awesome part is that Dr. Capehart and his staff went into the office on their day off, and in awful weather to ensure that they could finish my services so that I would have what I needed. It doesn't get much better than that. I am eternally grateful to the service they provided me, when they could have just left it for later. Anyone who says Capehart Dental doesn't care about their customers, or doesn't go above and beyond is completely full of it. Today I called around searching for a new dentist. I am new to the area and needed an exam for a cavity giving me problems. Unfortunately most dentist offices are booked and refuse to work with new patients on scheduling. My work schedule being Monday- Friday 8:30 -5:00 collides with most dentist offices and not many offices will stay late for a new patient exam. Capehart Dental staff not only worked with me being a new patient, but also pushed back their own busy schedules to stay late for an appointment I can make. The staff so far has been amazing, going above and beyond to make it more convenient for me (a new patient). They also scheduled me for fillings early in the morning Saturday again changing their busy schedule for me. I really appreciate the professional, helpful staff and recommend this place to anyone. read more

Dr. Capehart and his staff are great and very accommodating with their schedules. I work long hours so getting into a dentist is not easy unless I take the day off but this office offers evening hours and even some time on Saturdays which is a rare find. I was impressed with how professional Dr. Capehart and his staff was and have been going to this office for over a year now. There are times when I do have to reschedule an appointment and it's never a problem. My son attends college out of state and is not home very often so when he is in the area, I am always able to get an appointment made for him for a cleaning and checkup which helps my son out. I have always feared dentists and have always had a problem with them being able to numb me. He did it in one shot! Dr. Capehart gave me the reassurance I needed and has restored my trust but only with him. I never want another dentist. His staff is wonderful "Gabby and Liz" . Dr. Capehart actually put a crown on and drilled the temporary out without giving shots. A FIRST for me. They are wonderful and they take great care of you. Friendly, professional and efficient staff, the latest in technology and best practices, and a Dentist who is gentle and really cares about his patients, so much so that he often calls me after procedures to see if i'm doing ok!! Dr. Capeheart is the best!! The waiting area is always clean and everyone in the dental office is always very nice and helpful. The new hygienists (Melissa) cleaned my teeth and explain everything in detail of what she was doing and gave me tips on how better to keep my teeth clean by brushing correctly. I had heard about Cape Dental from a flyer in the mail. I took up their special offer with a cleaning but the insurance paperwork was a nightmare. I told the doctor upfront that I have sensitive teeth and gums but he still seemed pretty rough. My mouth still aches. I wouldn't recommend this place other than that it's nearby my home read more

As soon as I walked in Liz the receptionist made me feel welcomed. I spent no time on the waiting room they immediately took me to the back and started taking x rays.
