I debated for a while writing a review but after going twice now to Tate Dental nearby which is a reputable dentist practice and seeing it happened to others I would advise you to be very careful if you go here. Dr. Sohn seemed okay but the dental hygienist scraped my gums so hard I was not bleeding a little but a LOT and then she aggressively pushed a deep cleaning priced at $900. This was my first visit here after moving back to the area (grew up here, 10 years in Austin, back to DFW for a few months) mind you I have never missed a cleaning in about 20 years. I get a routine cleaning every 6 months and have never had anyone do what this hygienist did. I wanted to be open minded plus I had already paid the upfront 1 year package so I came back 6 months later after she scolded me about not doing the deep cleaning and said well if you want you can just see back in 6 months how flossing and brushing goes (yeah I think I will do that). Then at the next cleaning magically my teeth were fine b/c I requested a different hygienist. Also wow no bleeding. I switched to Tate Dental in 2024. Routine cleaning in Feb & Oct 2024 - both visits got a clean bill of health and no bleeding from the hygienist. I told no one of my experience at the new dentist to see. I asked the dentist and hygienist if they would recommend a deep cleaning and they both said my teeth are perfect health and it wouldn't be necessary showing me photos, etc and explaining what would be the reason for a deep cleaning. I did let Dr. Sohn's office know of my experience when it occurred in 2023 and they did nothing. So all that to say, buyer beware. No clue if the reviews are real or not but my experience at Sohn was awful and I only went there b/c of the good reviews. Also Tate is better priced too! I called in advance and asked for pricing after the awful experience at Sohn. I have moved a lot in my life and of the 5 dentists I have seen no one has EVER scratched the crap out of my gums like that and then acted like it was not their fault. I was shocked and now I wish I would have just stood up and left. I realize now how bad it actually was and I was just being a pushover. read more

Had a tooth ache and called them for an appointment. They got me right in and did the exam and determined very quickly it was my sinuses causing the pain (I'm new to Texas and haven't experienced the spring weather) They were very friendly and got me on my way feeling very good with my experience. read more

Great experience. Staff is wonderful. We go every 6 months. Child filling was performed this week in 30 minutes. No issues.

Dr. Sohn and her team are incredibly professional, warm, and inviting (and GREAT at what they do)! I recently moved to the Fort Worth area, and I had some dental procedures that needed to be done. Dr. Sohn came highly recommended to me by a local mommy group, and now I know why! She not only provides a relaxing environment and is very calming when she treats you, but her work is magic! I have been going to a different dentist for several years. I decided to try a dentist one of my friends recommended she is a hygienist at this office. I am glad I did it was so easy to get an appointment, the front office staff was so friendly greeted you when you walked in, Sara did one of the best jobs on my cleaning I've ever had and Dr.Sohn was so professional and up front about the treatment. Worst dental office I have ever been to. I have been going to dentists for routine cleaning twice a year for over 20 years. I would usually go in and get my teeth clean, I thank them and that was that. However with Sohn dental in Southlake, I didn't get to clean my teeth. I am upset and I felt humiliated by this dental office.The Sohn's front receptionist was an obnoxious and downward mean person. My experience with Dr. Sohn was bad also. She was rude, unprofessional and too proud to apologize for her staff's mistakes. Instead she blames the patient. This is why I put my energy and time to write this review. I made an appointment to get a simple routine dental cleaning. When I got there, they told me I was scheduled for a left lower tooth pain. I told them I do not have any tooth pain. They were getting all angry at me saying the receptionist wrote down "lower tooth pain". They were accusing me as if I somehow committed some sort of crime. They told me I need to come back another time to get cleaning. To make a long story short, I asked them to delete my personal information that they had gathered including my social security number which they told me they must have in order to claim my insurance. I am extremely satisfied with the care I have received here. Everyone is very nice, quick and efficient. I had 4 fillings replaced and there wasn't any pain and it was done before I knew it. My husband and I like how all the work and charges are clearly explained beforehand and they are very transparent. Easy online forms to fill prior to first appointment.
