We were very pleased with everything. I especially have to brag on my masseuse Matt. I've been dealing with upper arm pain for about 10 months. I've even been to another masseuse and I have received very little relief. Matt worked on my "locked" muscle and I'm almost back to normal. Overpriced treatments were not what they described (I walked out midway through mine it was so bad and was still charged full price) nor did they ask whether we preferred male or female masseuses when we booked our appointments; my husband was extremely uncomfortable with the male masseuse he was given, not to mention the guy seemed like he didn't know what he was doing - his massage was terrible! Started off with a soak in a lavender filled tub that was the perfect temperature. Then a 45 minute full body massage where Adrienne worked out the knots in my shoulders and used pressure points to relieve my headache. Then a pedicure with paraffin wax treatment and shellac/dip manicure that was the icing on the cake. I was sure that by 2 or 3 hours I'd be tired of being there. Boy was I wrong. She wasn't familiar with coffin and I coached her to taper and leave flat at tip vs pointy. She did the best she could which I appreciated until she charged extra $5 for her failed attempt on top of the sloppy paint job. Full set is $25 she charged $23 for this..... The ambiance of Smudge is nice - fairly quiet and with open spaces between stations. However, the big draw for me is Mikayla's skill with color and cut. Prior to finding her, my hair looked very one dimensional and clearly not natural. She puts high and low lights in it, and it looks a lot like my hair looked when I was younger-very natural. Look at her Facebook page--she has clients with a wide range of colors and styles and they all look stunning! I have never had a bad cut or color from her--and I can't say that about any other stylist I've had over the years!!! Her partner, Morgan, is also good; as are the other stylists. I've not heard one complaint in the times I have been in. Highly recommend this salon!
