He showed up an hour late in a broke down car with a "friend" and no tools even though he assessed what he would need the week before. They looked dirty and like they had a rough night partying the night before. Then left to go to Ace despite the fact the dresser came with tools and I also have my own. They left and then 2 hours later I messaged him I have plans and needed to leave. He showed back up and wanted to take the dresser to his "shop" and return in a few hours. Over a 3 day period he made up excuses on why it was taking so long, including telling me his uncle went to the hospital and died! He told me the dresser was built that day, then the next said there was missing instructions and took another day, then he said parts were missing and he had to "fabricate parts". Over these 3 days me and my kids dad tried telling him to just bring the dresser back and how uncomfortable I was. He would not bring it back until he was done. Once returned and he was paid, I moved the dresser and it fell apart. He did a ton of damage and then tried to glue it together hoping it would stay. I requested a refund and he refused to make it right and started insulting me and telling me it's my fault because I moved it. It was brand new in a box, I should be able to move it, with out it falling apart. Now I'm left to try and report him while being out $500 as a single mom. This was sooo wrong! Do not trust him!

You have to sign contract (which I did not mind) and pay for 12 months but only get service for 7 months. The major problem owner of company does not follow the contract you sign and when you question him either he ignores your problems or as have happened two times he blows up and tells you it not his fault or problem. This year it happened because a piece of equipment failed and our lawn did not get thatched when asked him to complete the job he got angry and told us it was not his fault and he did nothing wrong, now our lawn looks very bad and most likely will have to have two sections completey redone. Also on the year end clean up the crew showed up at 7am lawn was frozen so they could not do much except rake the area without grass. Crew leader said they would have to come back when lawn thawed to finish. It does not get better than this. We used B&R for gutters on two homes here in Bend. We've been in this one for going on ten years and last winter we had our first small gutter problem. Stuff happens. The "oops" had nothing to do with B&R, rather an awkward roof tie in design from the house designer. When we called with our little SOS, no emergency we said but needing work, owner Richard was out the next day to assess the work needing to be done. A day after that, three very nice guys showed up to do the work. Although there was front porch "stuff" in the way for them and landscaping in the mix they were so careful with both that you'd never know, except for the fixed gutter, they'd ever been there. If you've worked with other gutter companies that mangle landscaping as they do their work, you'll know how extraordinary a thing it is to have folks be as careful are the B&R crew. Not to mention how unusual it can be for a business to absolutely stand behind their work as do owners Richard and Jean. Not to mention how delightful it is to have your call taken or immediately returned. As added bonus, Richard is a just darned fun personality. Together he and my hubby have solved many of the local government's problems when bumping into each other at a local market's wine tasting table. Big jobs, small jobs, tricky angles,standard installs, tall projects, they do it all and do it with "A plus" outcome. Every person we know who has used B&R Gutters sings their praises. They won't be the cheapest gutter bid in town. But I'd wager for experience (they've been in Bend since 1978, through boom and bust) and quality outcome they are the best.
