~This review is based off experience, was unable to purchase~ I've been eyeing Capelo's for a couple weeks not as I wanted to get my mother in law some flowers for her birthday. I would rather support local than chains/grocery stores. So my plan was to stop in on Saturday in which their hours on google and everything else said 9am-3pm. When I arrived at 1pm parking was hard to find. I ended up going down a side neighborhood street to park. Once I walked over to the store it was looking dark with no open sign. Door was locked and when I peaked in there was definitely no one working. I am just disappointed that google hours, Facebook hours and yelp all said they were open until 3. I understand it was a holiday weekend and everyone enjoys time off but at least on their door to their business they should have a sign explaining that they're closed and even maybe post something about it as I could not see any information anywhere. Unfortunately I feel like I won't try to give them business in the future as I feel like my time was wasted but I always have a change of heart. We shall see. read more

My BBF's daughter started her new job so I wanted to send her a congratulations arrangement. Given all of the great reviews, thanks Yelpers, I called Capelos. Effie was great over the phone. She was very helpful and suggested a dish garden. I placed the order and she called me on the day of delivery to let me know it was brought but she wasn't there this week. Was on my way to a Midsummer party when the host messaged us to say they were running low on greenery used in the decorations attendees were making in case anyone had some from their gardens to bring. Happened to be driving by this florist shop and went in to ask if they might be able to sell me a handful of greenery stems. The very kind woman I spoke to found a lovely bundle that resembled the host's picture and sold it to me at a great price. It worked perfectly for the occasion and everyone was very pleased. Effie Mihos is the owner of Capelo's and she could not have been more helpful and kinder to me. I had the sad task of making floral arrangements for my beloved Papa's wake and funeral. I was very upset with other places that really seemed to not care and charge you whatever price they thought they could squeeze out of a grieving person. I then remembered purchasing a birthday card for my Italian Gramma in law at Capelo's one day and just feeling like the woman who sold me the card was a geninuely pleasant and kind person. I called Capelo's and asked them about floral arrangements. Everything she did was more beautiful than I could describe. Amazing flowers, sweet smelling yellow roses, and a very beautifully done arrangement. I need to add that Capelo's price was very very very affordable. My Papa would have been happy with that. I now have a yellow rose that I dried and it is next to a picture of my Nana and Papa. I will have this rose forever along with all the great memories of my grandparents. When one door closes another opens... My sister is due to have her first baby next month and I already know where I'll be going for the flowers. I cannot recommend Capelo's enough. read more

I really hate to leave such a lousy review since they seem like nice people. I ordered flowers based on the zip codes they list on their website as being in their delivery zone. What it doesn't say on the website is that there is a minimum order amount for certain zip codes. I found out too late to get something else so the recipient received nothing. I ordered through the Daisy Shop, which appears to be the same business as Capelo's since they are at the same address. read more

To say I am disappointed would be putting it lightly. A dear friend lost a loved one so I wanted to send an arrangement to cheer her up. I chose the "This Magic Moment" arrangement and ordered it online very late on a Wednesday night. Knowing it was late at night and I was requesting a Thursday by 2pm delivery I stated if they couldn't make it by 2pm please have them there Friday. I guess my error was to presume they would make it first thing Friday being we are 1/2 mile down the road but no I had to call at 1:30 as she was leaving to look for the delivery. They arrived while I was on the phone. This is can get by. However - the arrangement I ordered and paid for did not look anywhere near as beautiful as the picture presented. It had probably less than half the flowers and it looked as if something was lying on top of it in the truck. She was touched with the thought and appreciative however I am left with never coming back. We had an unfortunate loss to a dear friend's family member over the weekend - and for our delivery today - I happily called another florist. I used Capelo's as the florist for my wedding and they did a wonderful job. Stayed within my budget and worked with me to find flowers in my color scheme that would work well and not cost too much. The manager was polite and very knowledgable. They added special touches to make the bouquets and boutineers even more special. My only qualm would be that the delivery person didn't seem to know what she was doing so that was strange, however, overall this was a great vendor. For everyday flowers, they are also great; good selection in the store and on time delivery. read more

LOVE Capelo's. My go-to place for surprising the girlfriend with flowers. For just $12, they'll throw together a fresh bouquet customized your specifications (type of flower, color scheme, etc.). I usually add a bit extra on top of that, but it's still a deal that can't be beat. The flowers are always beautiful and last a couple weeks thanks to the plant food they give you with your order. Finally, I like going here just because the service is so friendly. They're never pushy (like some places that try to get you to spring for the most expensive choices) and really listen to your requests. Great shop. read more

I ended up phoning to ask how to complete my on-line order and was connected to the owner who couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I always shop at Teleflora affiliated florists and try to use the florist closest to the recipient. My dear Uncle had his funeral services at Dello Rosso in Medford so I looked up "find a florist" and I liked Capelo's website. Looking through I chose I brightly colored full wreath to sit proudly next to a man who brought so much joy to my childhood and I was sorely disappointed and embarrassed when I saw the wreath, although it was arranged nicely and was colorful they skimped on fullness.
