We can tell our kids are going to learn quick with the way both Nicole and Minh are coaching; just the right tone in gaining new skills each day. It's not overwhelming for our kids whatsoever. Imagine paying $175/month ($6/day) seem not too much for an individual to breakdown and think about, slowly more people will sign up mainly for working out purposes than other relaxing activities, the GYM sooner or later will be busy. I've visited Villasport and Citisport in both the same hours during different times of the day, and the crowds are not much different. But for the price it is. Paying $175 monthly and must wait for machines to break the workout momentum is pretty sad and upsetting, innit? Then 10pm its already closed... weekends are 2pm... Overall I'd personally think $75/month is fair. For $175/month, hours should be extended, and equipment should be more balanced. The way I see this fitness is built was to target older wealthy people 45+ years old. However, as I come here I see more of the younger ones than the older ones.

However, I am not a big fan of some of the gym machines as some aren't very comfortable to use. For example, the excess amount of Hoist machines could possibly be replaced by other machines from other companies. In other gyms I have visited, the other machines from companies like Life Fitness have been a favorite for me and at times I see myself going to these gyms to get a workout that is more appealing for me. Another thing I have noticed is that some of the cardio machines almost never see use and could possibly be replaced by other machines. This is an amazing gym overall but it could definitely see some improvement. From other people I have spoken to they all noticed the big price increases on memberships and guest passes, and I think it would be fitting to see some equipment upgrades to go along with the increased prices.

I watched very closely each time as I had to be the volunteer timer at these meets. I pulled my kids out after 1+ year as I don't see much stroke or time improvement. Swim lessons available thru summer in 2 week intervals with 1 week off during summer. Mini playground, grass area for games and netting for volleyball. I noticed a pile of dirty towels sitting out. The women's locker room was okay, nothing dirty, but it felt a little dated and could use a refresh. A lot of the ladies were chatting, and it reminded me of a middle school locker room. The MixxedFit class itself, though, was amazing. The energy in the room was great and everyone seemed genuinely excited to be there. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. I'll definitely come back for another MixxedFit class with Javier.

With the number of people who use this facility every day, this is a serious health and safety concern, especially during the summer. In addition to the lack of air conditioning, the water fountains are frequently out of service, the bathrooms are unsanitary, and the overall cleanliness of the facility has noticeably declined. It feels like this location is simply a cash cow for Bay Club's corporate office. They continue to raise membership prices every year while neglecting maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service. This location sees far more traffic than many of their other clubs, yet it receives far less attention. If you're considering joining as a new member, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Until Bay Club invests in properly maintaining this facility and providing the level of service members are paying for, it's simply not worth the cost. Many of the members at this location are from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and it's deeply frustrating to see this club receive far less attention than locations like Pleasanton or Walnut Creek. Intentional as it seems the disparity in maintenance and investment is hard to ignore, and members at this location deserve the same safe, clean, and well-maintained facility as every other Bay Club member. I will also be contacting the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health to report these ongoing health and sanitation concerns.
