Beautiful playgrounds for kids. So nice , clean and safe . This playground is next to mattos elementary, 2 playgrounds , parking is a bit limited, so street parking might required at some point. Kids had a blast

Love this park! I've been taking my daughter here since she learned how to walk at 8 months. Great for different ages. There is an area for BBQs and get togethers. Only downfall is there isn't much shade for really hot days also parking is slim so try to find street parking

Love this new park. It's located right next door to an elementary school so parking can be limited. They have a huge area I'm assuming that will have some sorts of flower/garden beds. A huge picnic area with bbqs and they have an over hang here which is nice. The dog run area is very small though. They have this barn area I believe that you can play around or eat and have a snack too. What i do love is this cute art piece they have and it turns and shows different colors on the ground. Many slides and places to climb. Musical instruments that you can bang. Love that this is an all inclusive park. What's cool also is their interactive game system that they have at both parks. This park also has 2 workout areas which is nice. The two parks are also covered with fences. Pro: new, clean, fun huge, nice clean bathroom. Cons: limited parking lot, or street parking. When it's hot the only shade is under the barn, picnic area or the big red flowers on top of the structure. When making this park I feel like they should take in consideration toddlers and short kids especially in the bathroom. It would have been nice to have toddler size urinals, toilets and sinks. Let's try and keep this park clean because this is such a fun and new park. Me and the kiddos will def be coming back!

This is a fantastic park and the people who live in this neighborhood are lucky. It's pretty big with a big lawn, several tennis walls, basket ball courts, and 3 cool-looking playgrounds. It's not a 5-star rating because it was overrun with people relatively early in the morning. I can only imagine what it's like during peak.

Great park with bathrooms! Great for all ages. The only thing is parking is limited and there's barely any shade so don't go on a super hot sunny day. Otherwise! The structures are cool and unique. There's tons of open space and areas for kids to play in.

This review is for dog park. First off I must state the the park itself is 5 stars. A great looking new play area for younger kids. I went on a Friday afternoon and it was crowded. As for the dog park, I found the small dog side ,but no large dog side. I don't have big dogs so no problem. The park was clean and well kept. The dirt looks like a baseball infield. Perfect for a dog park. It absorbs the smell but doesn't get muddy when wet. It has poop bags and a water station. It is kinda small and no shade. But still a great neighborhood dog park

Finally open!!! Kid enjoyed it. This park has a bit for everyone. My kid prefers taller playgrounds, but she still found plenty of fun stuff to do here. Not sure about parking, since we usually walk in this neighborhood. The rotating play structure is fun and easy to spin, unlike some other humongous versions at other parks. There's an interactive sound archway over a number pad that gives instructions on lava monster? Or crack a code? Kids (and adults) seemed interested but confused. Hopefully the interactive tech will last. Many slides and a hill. Lots of opportunities for creative play and mischief. Wish there were swings. But I know swings next to a school usually get messed with, then removed. There's a community garden, curious how that will operate. Also: fenced dog park, some random exercise equipment, a fenced toddler play area, covered picnic tables, a sports field still getting finished. Good amount of seating and rest areas. Would prefer more shade. Young trees were planted which will eventually mature. In the meantime, all this rubber in direct sun will get hot easily. I'm going to ignore the fact that this took forever because I grew up in Milpitas and understand it is what it is. I'm just glad it got done.

I was surprised by how large the park is--over 1,500 acres of open space, rolling hills, and greenery. Our group had a picnic area near the lake, with restrooms conveniently located nearby. There was plenty of room for everyone, including a large grassy area. Even on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30 p.m., there were only two other large groups in the picnic area. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, a nice change from the busy shopping centers, restaurants, and other crowded places around the Bay Area. Since the park is so large, we didn't have time to explore much beyond the picnic area, but the park also offers hiking, fishing, gliding, paragliding and a dog park. Parking was only $6, and we had no trouble finding a space close to our picnic site. Overall, I found this to be a great spot for family gatherings, picnics, and anyone looking to spend time outdoors.

We wanted to find a park that is relatively new/in good condition and not too crowded to let the little ones safely play. I'm honestly surprised that this isn't a more popular place to bring your kids. I suppose a part of it is because it is a neighborhood park without dedicated parking, although there is plenty of street parking. With that being said, the play area is gated so it is safe to let your children roam with supervision, the play structures are all in very good condition and the padded flooring is intact across the park. Very suitable for toddlers and older children, they even have a baby changing station inside of the bathroom, as well as adequate drinking fountains and drinking fountains for dogs. We were there on a Saturday morning, from 9 to 10am and were the only family there the entire time. This is completely different compared to some of the other parks in Sunnyvale or San Jose, where it can become a zoo by that time. We will definitely be setting up future play dates here.

Definitely meant for the surrounding neighborhoods. There are multiple entrances but are basically towards the end of each street. It seems dog friendly enough with a dog enclosure and easy to stroll around and walk your dog. There's a nice grassy area in the center and I noticed a few instances of owners playing catch with their dogs off-leash. There are picnic tables by the playground and public bathrooms all in the same area. The only water fountain I found was by the picnic/playground/bathroom area and it had a lower fountain for dogs. **Dog park: The dog area was really small, all dirt with one bench. Big dog and small dog are separated but the size is pretty similar to each other with the big dog having just a LITTLE bit more space. It was empty for me except for 1 dog owner but I wonder if there would be more dogs after-work hours for some socialization :-) you would have to walk a little but further down to the main area for water fountain.

The park is divided in two: big dog and small dogs. Its mostly just dry dirt with some tanbark along the edges. No poop bags are provided however, there is a spot for some tennis balls and a water fountain along with a big bowl. Theres 4 benches mostly parked under the shade of big trees so you can expect a bit of seating. Parking right next to the dog park is pretty limited as it's mostly just street parking along Piedmont Road. No food or drinks are allowed and people, for the most part, follow the rules. Sometimes people bring their medium/large dogs into the small dog park so do keep an eye on your dog. The park is pretty well kept and clean throughout despite no bags being provided. Most of the people who frequent this park seem very kind and warm. If you have a social pup, I would come here and check it out.

I briefly visited from out of town for a breed specific meet up so my experience is not that of a regular. Pros include the spaciousness, real grass, bench seating, mature trees providing shade, trash bins inside the park area including poop scoopers, and a water fountain/bowl. When I went the water fountain wasn't working. I did some research beforehand. (Google Maps calls this the Piedmont Road Dog Park. I don't know if that's the official name.) They don't have poop bags either. I think these drawbacks will likely be remedied in the future. I've seen at other dog parks the community members step up and install back up poop bags or bring in stainless steel troughs for the water. In the meantime, bring your own bags and water! The one thing I really did not like was the parking situation. Piedmont seems very busy. There isn't a parking lot to pull into. I drove past the park initially. It's street parking on Piedmont with some areas of the curb being red or green. The solution would be for someone to park in a lot inside the park (another entrance) and to walk to the dog parks. There's also a shopping plaza across the street and residential streets nearby if you don't mind crossing the street. The real grass and mature trees/shade are really rare for a dog park! I could see this place being five stars for someone that lives in the area and is more experienced with the parking situation than me.

I'm glad there were no unfortunate incidents today though. Owners seemed really attentive to what their dogs were doing, and only one out of the many dogs there seemed to be somewhat aggressive. It was nice seeing all the dogs sniffing and playing with each other. So much space to run and pee! The astroturf is definitely a plus. Just wish we were closer!
