Second time here within a month. Really love the location. Call an Uber and you're anywhere in minutes. I thought the LGB would be noisy but you really don't notice it all. The 1 star out would be for the staff customer service. They're not very welcoming or seem to be inconvenienced when customers come in to the office. I called and asked some questions and the lady seemed annoyed and very miserable, while I clarified what I was looking for. The employees need to be more upbeat and welcoming, it'll bring customers back.

Obnoxious staff at Capilano River RV Park. Aug 28 2020

15hrs ago: approx 8pm Aug 28/2020 - Had a reservation at Capilano River RV Park and they've denied my reservation on the reservation. Why? because I'm not the right kind of credit card indian. But I was able to make the reservation online with same credit card or I never would gotten the confirmation number and email. He said that's not true. (Lie). "Website says you have to call first with confirmation number then we run the card and THAT card never would have passed." UGH. Denied an indigenous woman shelter. Put me at direct risk on roadside all night. Said "it's my job, that's policy." I said "what if I went M&M because of your policy?" Threatened to call police if I didn't leave. So now I have to try to find last minute campground nearby or up the Squamish highway. *a.m. update: spent night roadside in Burnaby.

For our 18th wedding anniversary, we took our little Airstream up to Vancouver BC. We chose the Capilano River RV Park for its location right next to the Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, and easy access to the city. The Good: - Location - right next to the Capilano River and just north of Stanley Park. Good place for an "Urban RV" location! Easy access to everything. Glad we brought a trailer instead of a motorhome/camper car! - Friendly and cordial staff - very professional and laid back. If you treat them with friendliness and respect, you will receive the same in kind. I get the distinct impression you get back what you put out - do unto others, folks! - Super level spaces - we didn't have to adjust for tilt at all. We are always prepared to level of the tires, and were happy we didn't have to. - Our space is right next to a hedge with a gravel walkway on the other side. Although we could hear folks walking, it gave us a nice privacy screen. Could Be Better: - Spacing is SUPER TIGHT in this park - we picked our hedge site for a reason. Bring personal lubricants if you have to park right next to other guests. :-) - Internet access - if for any reason you need internet, expect to use your cellular connection. We were on the phone with the support folks for about 30-40 min (I have work e-mails to attend to), and went from no access to spotty access. If this doesn't matter to you, you can disregard this point Props to tech support for trying, but I think the service needs to be improved. - They are very good about maintaining the lots - but they should probably not mow right up against (and under) guest trailers, but wait until they've checked out. We witnessed a very unhappy guest come out as the maintenance guy mowed UNDER their trailer. Might wanna wait next time! In summary, if you want to find an easy access site to amenities, can be a "good customer" to the staff (that goes both ways, ya know), and don't mind the cozy spacing, this would be a good location. We'd stay here again, but only if we could get a decent lot like we did this time, and perhaps better internet access without camping out in the clubhouse. We appreciate the staff. Just don't be a jerk to anyone - they won't put up with your shenanigans - nor should they! ;-) Thanks for the nice stay!

Squished in, but made the most of it. This RV park was a last minute stop to get in overnight before heading up North. The RVs on both sides of us had bump outs and awnings, making it super difficult to park and move around. We had less than one foot of clearing on both sides and I could probably have put my hand in their RV from my own if I wanted to!! The bathrooms were okay, but on our visit, 2/5 toilets were out of order and the shower area needed a deep cleaning! The pool was nice for our kids while we did some laundry, but the indoor hot tub was so overpowering with chlorine, we skipped it. Stay if you must, but realize you'll hear EVERYTHING going on in your neighbors RVs while you are there.

Lots of Rv's parked! Very quite

This RV Park was very last minute for us. We're on the road and needed somewhere to stay for two nights. We reserved and within the hour or two had a confirmation which was very helpful. Check in was quick and easy. I don't like how the WiFi is very complicated. You have to pay? Or only one device can be connected? Something like that. The RV place we were at before had free WiFi for all guests so that was easier. Restroom and showers were very clean and updated which I absolutely loved. That was surprising to me. I think there's a fan or something in there though because you feel a breeze and cold air as you shower and on your wah out. Other than that the place was good. Quiet and suitable for the two days!

No room to even have a flat table! So old. See how skinny the pads are? This place is hopeless.

NO --- don't waste a dollar or a moment here. NO PRIVACY, OLD SERVICES, STINKY BAD HOOKUPS, oh, and did I say NO? I mean it. Very expensive also. We paid over $70.00 for one night, center grounds location, and that is with a AAA discount of 10%. The hookup box has cable for TV. The office says NO TV, haven't had it for years, and they just haven't gotten around to removing it from hookup. The sites are so close to each other the ancient picnic table isn't even level, there is t enough room on the strip of dead grass! Shower facility's are better at the public beach our ( unhappy also) neighbor said. Rude office employees, just overall a horrible place.

This is Lions Gate Bridge right next to the campsite. In the foreground is the amazing bike path!

We did have to park our very small town vehicle in the lot as opposed to in our site. The floating cotton-looking stuff from cottonwood was floating everywhere in June, giving it a bit of a charming and idyllic feel. This biggest plus to this place is the location. It's pretty close to the city and is one of the only (or the only?) nearby option for larger rigs. It has a nice playground, which my kids enjoyed. I also used the gym (small gym with just the basics). Note - yes, they have a hot tub, but I was informed that due to municipal regulations, children are not allowed in it.

As frequent travelers from Seattle area to Canada for our daughters hockey games, we look forward to staying at Cedars RV Resort and will continue the tradition we've started. Just an extremely well-run operation and we're so happy we discovered this place with such wonderful people. One time the door on our travel trailer somehow wasn't properly secured when we left it... so during a breezy rainstorm while we were not there, the door physically opened. Scott, Cedars maintenance manager, was first to notice the problem and shut the door, but it could not be locked without the key, so Yvette, operations manager, was so kind to call me to make me aware of the situation, out of concern that the door might open on its own again and our camper might be subjected to water damage. Yvette went out of her way to let me know what happened in case I wanted to lock the door, and I thought this really speaks to the high level of customer care at Cedars. With all of her other responsibilities as manager of operations at Cedars, this kind of concern by Yvette and her staff for those at the property was really wonderful, and points to why Cedars is such a beautiful, well-maintained and popular vacation spot. You can get groceries, get a tan, swim, or go to a nearby restaurant for some yummy food. This is SUPER convenient especially if you're unfit to drive and/or wanna enjoy the environment. It's nice to have all this within walking distance. ADDITIONALLY, if you are too shy to swim at the beautiful nearby beach then you could enjoy the campground's pool :) it's kid friendly and convenient to have nearby your campsite. The staff is awesome! Everyone has always been super nice and friendly. They are very lighthearted and make you feel at home. This is exactly the camping environment I'd like to be in (all summer long)! The campsites vary in size, which appeases different type of campers. Whether you're with your family, or taking it easy with just one gal pal, you can book a variety of campsites. You can book a smaller scenic campsite, if you're just staying over for one night. OR, you could book a bigger campsite, if you and your big family wanna stay for 5+ days. I've always camped here for 5+ days, so I've booked the bigger campsites with my family. It's nice having those options :) The campsites are beea-uti-fulll! So scenic, and depending on what site you book you can hear the relaxing melody of the stream. There are some RV places with outlets and some more tent-sites where you can park your car, pop up your tent and enjoy yourself and a nice BBQ on your fireplace. When we were there, a ice cream truck came by in the evening which was a really nice thing. The Creek marks one side of the campground, but because of the salmon coming back to reproduce it's not allowed to step in/ wade/ bath/ play in it. But that's okay, I mean the "big water" is not far and you can go swimming in one of the many bays this region has to offer (or the pool ;) ). They have a designated security person for emergencies and patrols at night, so you can feel safe all the time. I really enjoyed how friendly everyone was, that there are so many big trees on site and you have everything you need for a nice stay. This is definitely a place to come back to.

She mowed every single site in the park but mine. I had to pay to have someone mow for us since we both are on disability. She could care less. Our site is muddy. I cannot park and load without getting in the mud. Law says has to be hard surface for drive and 3 in minimum of gravel under site and on site. My sewer that has to be dealt with every couple weeks we have 2 x 4 to prevent getting in mud when you open and close she calls junk. Every time I ask her for something she threatens me and makes my stay miserable. We have been here 11 yrs. We are not campers so only the monthly people have a clue what I'm talking about with the landlords and their never ending harassment to try and make this an RV park under RV rules when she has many mobiles and permanent people in here that she and us are bound by landlord tenant laws for mobiles. We keep our site nice, we pay our rent on time and have never in all the 11 years missed a month. I had a dispute recently with my electric bill twice the normal it has ever been. She ignored it and said it will go down in summer but yet we have no new appliances or heaters or anything that runs high watts. We have had more than one short in the electric here and twice on our plugs fixed by the landlord not an electrician. But to go from $80 at highest ever to $158 for 1 month with no new anything means it has short or someone plugged into my site, She claims all the people here are happy but me but most are just afraid to face her. She is a rich Asian who has e or 4 houses to live in plys a halfmillion dollar rv to travel in. She does not know what permanent living in 300 sq ft does to you and my only fun is a little gardening but she wants me to quit that or buy expensive pots that all match so i look good to her. there failure to deal with real problems results in here telling us to leave. If i could afford to I would but we are skirted, have 110 appliances and cannot live self contained any longer. Also whoever asked gets fences but not us so i have to deal with other dogs using our yard for their poop jobs. the people that are happy do not have to stay here year round and she is done some really mean things to other tenants that gave up and moved. I dont know where people have been living to think that mowing and cleaning bathrooms is out of the normal. We have lived in parks for 22 yrs and all were nice and quiet and mowed and clean so that is not a rating for a full time tenant and certainly not what we put up with. Please come in and talk to some of the long term people. I can give you names. also to make our life hell over our plants in pots rather than the ground is just wrong. I just paid to have a brick wall made to put my main pots behind and our site looks nice. If there were conformity to the park it would be different but some have many things built onto and around their units and nothing is alike so how do make someone conform to nonconformity? So she has singled me out and i am fed up with it. I told her to sue me and lets let the courts tell her what the law says but she just continues to harass me. The urban park spans over 1,000 lush acres and has such a rich history. It officially opened as a public park in 1888, named after Lord Stanley, Canada's Governor General at the time. We decided to experience it in the best way possible: on two wheels. After renting bicycles near Coal Harbor, we set off along the park's famous seawall--a scenic path that loops around the entire perimeter and offers nonstop views of ocean, mountains, city, and skyline. It's the kind of ride where you find yourself stopping often because every turn reveals beautiful views. Along the way, we made stops at some of the park's most iconic landmarks. The Stanley Park Totem Poles were vibrant and deeply rooted in Indigenous culture and storytelling. We continued on to the Girl in a Wetsuit statue, and then made our way up to Prospect Point. Don't forget to take in the view of the Lions Gate Bridge stretching across the water! Further along, we stopped to admire Siwash Rock before finishing our route near A-maze-ing Laughter by English Bay. After hours of heavy rain, we got incredibly lucky--the skies cleared what felt like just for us, and we were able to enjoy the entire ride in fresh, crisp air. I was so happy seeing the beaches along the way and the tree-lined paths glowing with orange leaves as we soaked in the last bits of autumn. Best of all, we were treated to a beautiful sunset at English Bay. It felt like the perfect closing moment--peaceful, golden, and well-earned after a full loop around the park. I can't recommend visiting Stanley Park enough. Wish we had enough time to visit the teahouse, but will have to save that for next time. If you're short on time but want to see a lot, biking the seawall is absolutely the way to go. It's active, scenic, and such a memorable way to experience one of Vancouver's most beloved places.
