This is our first time in Vancouver, and although a rainy cool day, it is absolutely beautiful. The Azur itself, does not disappoint. It is a quaint, beautifully appointed hotel in The Legacy Hotel Collection in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It's walking distance to all types of eateries, shopping, and more. From the moment we arrived, we were assisted and greeted by Alexander The Great. I want to say he's concierge but I could be wrong but one thing that is for sure, he provided us with exceptional service. The service here is top notch, from Alexander, to Yasmine (check-in), to Tristan, they were all wonderful. Now, for this beautiful, esthetically pleasing hotel. Our room is exquisite, from the spacious bedroom, to the bathroom. I love the layout. It's inviting and warm. I would without a doubt recommend this hotel. read more

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. From the street you'd never guess how stylish and beautifully designed it is inside. The lobby and the ground-floor café/restaurant Dahlia aren't big, but they feel incredibly cozy, chic, and welcoming -- the kind of place where you instantly relax. The music, lighting, and interior style were spot on. I arrived around 2pm without checking the official check-in time, so I ended up with a room on the 3rd floor. The room itself was spacious, calm, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. Loved the warm bathroom floors and the soft, comfortable bathrobe. There was a steamer instead of an iron -- I tried it, but maybe it was just me...the wrinkles didn't really come out. The only downside was the view. My window looked toward the ground-level garbage area, and the collection truck woke me up once. And one morning around 6am, the building alarm and flashing lights went off -- a first for me -- but everything turned out fine. I later learned Holt Renfrew nearby had the same situation that day, so it seemed like a neighborhood issue. Service-wise, everyone was wonderful. Especially Denys at Dahlia -- truly warm, thoughtful hospitality. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant on the 14th floor this time, but I'm sure it's great. The location is perfect -- right in the heart of downtown Vancouver, super convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around. Despite a few small hiccups, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely consider staying here again. read more

I had a delightful stay at the Azur hotel over the past few days. I was in Vancouver for business, and one of the choices that were available was the Azur. While I never heard of it prior, the reviews and pictures seemed promising. Upon my arrival, someone greeted me outside the hotel and welcomed me in. At the desk, they were able to upgrade me to a suite, which was amazing. The room was beautiful. Very modern, clean, and premium. They have two restaurants available onsite as well. One on the rooftop and the other on the ground floor. I would definitely look into them if you're looking for something convenient and not too far. Overall, I would highly suggest giving this hotel a try as it certainly exceeded my expectations. read more

The most beautiful boutique hotel located right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It's within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. There is also a cafe on the ground floor and a restaurant on the rooftop. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well decorated. In addition, they are stocked with free water, Nespresso coffee, and luxurious bath products. The employees are very friendly and the check in/check out process was seamless. Azur is one of the newest hotels in downtown Vancouver and was our hotel of choice while we were in town for an event at the Vancouver Convention Centre (a short walk away). We purchased the February romance package, which included an upgrade to a tub room or suite, $100 dining credit, welcome cocktails, valet parking (normally $55), in-room movie, and 2pm late checkout. We took full advantage of the promotion. The room is nice, though I do agree with others that the beds are a bit hard. The heated bathroom floor is a nice touch, but the thin super rough toilet paper felt like a cost saving corner that was cut and didn't align with the luxurious brand experience they promote on their website. We did have an issue with our room (strong exhaust smell on the third floor that gave us both a physical reaction after staying there for one night). We were grateful the staff was able to accommodate a room change the second night. Though, there was no manager on duty in the morning when we went to the front desk, so we weren't able to get a clear response from the staff initially. I think Azur is trying really hard, and their hotel was ok for our stay. Like many other businesses, it seems like they were short staffed, which took away from the experience a few times throughout our stay. It was nice to have the in room movie credit; they have movies available that are still in theaters! read more

It struck the perfect balance between city energy and relaxation. The rooftop views alone are worth the stay. Waking up in Vancouver and seeing the skyline framed by mountains is unreal. The Azur Legacy Collection Hotel is really spectacular. It's a boutique luxury hotel less than 10 minutes walking distance from the Vancouver Convention Center. It's less expensive than the Fairmont hotels next door, but provides (in my humble opinion) far nicer rooms. The bathroom floors are heated. The room decor is classy and tasteful. The window shades are electronic. You have a mini fridge in your room. You basically have everything you need for a super comfortable stay. I am in downtown for a conference and staying for a couple nights. Azur claims to be a 5 star hotel, but really is only 4 stars at its best. Lobby is rather small, not grand and luxurious like other 5 star hotels I had been to. The check-in receptionist area was small as well, only can fit 2 staff to help patrons at the same time. I was lining up and waiting for a while to get checked in. While the male staff was helping me, he got distracted with the conversation the other staff was having with the other patrons. He then asked me to wait, to help the other patron who already have another staff assisting. When checked in, the staff also did not mention they have a restaurant, rooftop bar, and patrons can get gym voucher to YWCA. Rarely does a 5 star hotel not have their own gym and hot tub. Room is bright, deco is nice, size is acceptable. But as a 5 star hotel, I find it unacceptable to not have enough hooks and towel bars in the washroom, no cup for toothbrushing, the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel dispenser area is way too small and tight. You can't barely put a finger in to pump the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. I wonder why would a 5 star hotel designer make such rookie mistakes? With the price they are charging and keep deeming they are a 5 star hotel, there are definitely better choices nearby. read more

Really enjoyed my stay at Azur Collections! The team here is great--super friendly and helpful from the moment I called before checking in. The rooms have a really nice modern, elegant feel and were spotless. The lobby is a bit small and there's no gym inside, but they give you a pass to one two blocks away which works out fine. We also used the valet service and it was a smooth experience; it's $40 CAD a day as of writing. Definitely recommend! read more

The Azur Legacy Collection Hotel exceeded our expectations. Upon our arrival, we were greeted very warmly by the hotel front desk. The hotel attendant, Casper, was incredibly friendly and showed us to our beautifully appointed room! The room was very clean and modern! The bathroom was large with two sinks, heated floors, and frosted glass. Beds were comfortable and we slept very well! Parking was valet and we had no issues. Lovely hotel, but whoever designed this hotel clearly had no intentions of sleeping in there at night. This is a solid 4/5 hotel. Pros: The hotel is gorgeous, smells lovely when you walk in, very modern-upscale design. Staff was super friendly. And tip, if you sign up for a leading hotels of the world account, you get free breakfast downstairs at their restaurant, and the food is delicious. Location was a very central and safe downtown area close to public transportation, walking to Robson for shopping, great food nearby, walking distance to the water, etc. Beds were comfortable, double sinks in a double room, and the l'occitane bath products smelled really nice. But here's why I question whether I would rebook this hotel: The bedroom has way too much light at night, and if you want a dark bedroom, this hotel is NOT it. There are buttons throughout the room to control the lights, curtains, thermostat etc, and while it seems super cool and modern, those buttons have this insanely bright white LED light that you cannot turn off. You essentially need black electrical tape, or to try to shove one of your dark colored shirts to try to block the light if you don't want your bedroom illuminated at night. To make matters worse about the light, the bathroom is separated by some sliding french doors that do not close all the way --there is a gap in between the two sliding doors. This means any light coming from the bathroom will shine through to the bedroom area. This wouldn't be a problem, but the bathroom lights are sensor/automatic when you walk in, which again seems really cool and thoughtful, but if you're sharing the room with someone, the other person will definitely see all of the light. If only there was one big sliding barn door vs the two french doors with the gap in between. The heated floors are super nice, but you wonder if they cheaped out with the design because only 3 tiles are heated, and the closet area and the toilet area have ice cold tiles so stepping in between the different areas is unpleasant. There is literally no room for your luggage if you bring anything larger than a carry-on sized bag. Usually there is an area hotel rooms where you can place your luggage, but this hotel does not. You basically have very narrow walkways around your bed, to the window. There is one small closet area in between the bedroom and bathroom, but that can only fit a carry on sized bag. The toilet area is separated by a frosted glass door, and you can definitely see through if you wanted to. And back to the whole gap in between the sliding french doors -- you can hear everything that happens in the bathroom because it isn't actually closed off. For such a nice hotel, you'd think they would have nicer toilet paper that wasn't sandpaper. And perhaps a bidet, but whatever. And it's lovely that they try to provide gym access at a local gym nearby since they don't have space for a gym, but when it's raining (and let's be real, the PNW rains a lot), I simply don't want to go outside and walk to a gym that isn't 24 hours, so all in all, it's a bit inconvenient. This hotel has a lot of great things about it, but it's pretty clear that whoever designed this hotel had no intentions of sleeping in there at night. If you don't mind sleeping in an extremely well lit room at night with white/blue LED lights, then this might be for you. read more

The overall stay as a family was good. As a boutique hotel in downtown, the price point is fair. The valet parking service was easy. Room was clean and housekeeping staff are responsive and understanding. I want to give a shout out to Rishi. He has always been courteous.
