Fantastic service and exceptional repair. Pablo did a terrific job repairing the damage I did to my car when I backed into the passenger door of my husband's car. Embarrassing but worse when a major commercial chain repair shop said that the entire door needed to be replaced. NOT TRUE! This review may be a little long but worth it. I totalled my car, but had a perfect record for over 10 yrs. The insurance company wouldn't pay enough to fix it or replace it. After 2 months of fighting them, I got enough to fix it. Then you run into another problem. Most shops won't touch totalled cars. After weeks of searching, I found Capital City Express. The owner was the most incredible guy I have ever met. He said he would fix my car. He ordered the parts and started painting them before I dropped the car off. So the turnaround time was so fast I couldn't believe it. Then, when I got my car back, it looked better than before I wrecked it. This shop is a 10. I will have to say that going to an automotive body repair shop can be an absolute nightmare for something that nobody wishes - an automobile accident. But we all do know that accidents do unfortunately happen. Whether its something minor such as a small ding or paint chip.. or something more substantial such as major front end damage or side door damage. This takes me to a small locally owned and operated shop, "Capital City Xpress Body & Paint". Located in Citrus Heights directly on Auburn Blvd. and about a 1/8 mile from Greenback Lane, the best way to find this place is that its within walking distance to the "Maita Honda" car dealership. What drew me to this place is the stellar Yelp reviews and close proximity from our home. They have a small parking lot as well as an office where you can talk to the owner/manager, Candelario. What had happened is that on the day of Thursday 3/30/17, my lady ended up getting into an accident (to her Honda Accord) that caused front end damage primarily to her hood and bumper. Since she only had basic liability on the vehicle with her insurance company, we had to pay for the repairs out of pocket. There were a few other parts that needed to be replaced including door hinges and some other minor small parts that are under the hood. Since I was already able to provide them with aftermarket parts, they were able to give me a price quote of $1600 (including tax). This included the price for removing the damaged parts, repair & replacing the new parts, aligning the sheet metal, and priming/painting all the exterior parts. Keep in mind that "Capital City Xpress" was the first place we went to (which was on Saturday 4/1/17) so I told Candelario that we'd like to shop a few other shops. We had also went to "Kniesel's" (in Citrus Heights) that quoted us well over $3000 for the SAME exact work and "Thompson's S&S Collision Repair" (in Sacramento) that quoted us around $2500. This is where I was sold that the first place we chose was the smartest decision. What really impressed me is the time frame it took for my lady to get her vehicle back. She had dropped it off on the morning on Monday 4/3/17 (at around 10:00am) and her car was ready for pickup by Thursday 4/6/17 (at 1:00pm)! It's literally unheard of to have a vehicle that suffered substantial front end damage to be repaired and painted in less than 72 hours. For everyone's convenience, I have compiled an itemized list of the labor, paint, sales tax, and grand total: Labor (body) - $650.00 Labor (paint) - $510.00 Labor (frame) - $200.00 Paint Supplies - $205.00 Miscellaneous - $19.12 Sales Tax - $15.88 ------------------------------- TOTAL - $1600.00 Overall, the service, workmanship, and price really made this repair job on her car worth a perfect five-stars. The entire front end of her vehicle looks absolutely flawless as if the accident never happened. For those of you that decide on paying out of pocket or going through your insurance company, I would definitely check out "Capital City Xpress" in Citrus Heights to a job well done. read more

We've had the unfortunate pleasure of our vehicles being in accidents and have worked with Capital City a number of times over the years. The staff is very knowledgeable, make sound recommendations, including follow up matters with insurance companies. We are consistently provided with ETA timelines that are met or work completed before the estimated time. The staff shares what the specific problem is with the vehicle (even those costly issues not seem to the untrained eye), disclosure of cost of parts and labor, including sharing if profits are after market (how cool is that?). We have solicited Capital City's opinion on non-insurance covered matters/management of same, and have always been provided sound advice; they are out to simply make a sale but to provide options for customers to explore. I took my Hyundai Elantra into Capital City Xpress because a branch fell on my car during the storms, denting the backside of my roof, shattering my rear window and causing a few dents on the side near the rear driver side window. I wasn't sure if it was even fixable. The customer service here was amazing!! I was able to get my car in right away, which was a blessing since I do not have a garage and it was due to rain again. They not only fixed my car in ample time but did an AMAZING job! My 10 year old car looks brand new and not only that the price was less than half of what I was anticipating.
