(When I asked for an explanation of what happened to the Arlington Women's Center, I received different answers from three different staff members.) I had no problem making an appointment, and the front office staff were great. However, the NP and physician who treated me were abrasive and rushed. One of them barked at me multiple times during my exam, then took a breath followed by a little lecture on giving her a "little grace" for being overworked and stressed (which I did). The other one was detached and seemed irritated. I should mention that all of this occurred as they treated me for an extremely painful medical condition, which I felt they glossed over (no suggestions on how to minimize the pain). I left thinking "never again." The CT technician was excellent, and so were the nurses at the VHC women's surgical center, where I had good results with the outpatient surgery. Shockingly, I have had several instances of a different patient's data being uploaded to my patient portal account. My earlier records were nowhere to be seen, I think due to the portal being switched to different vendors. Due to a cardiac history, I had an EKG just before the surgery. Later I showed it to my cardiologist , and he pointed out that it was the wrong EKG. It belonged to someone else. I've asked my PCP for a referral to a new gynecologist, and I'm willing to drive further in exchange for better care.

I do believe she did her due diligence in trying different birth controls but beyond that I was actually appalled at a few things: I had to ask more than once to be referred to the endometriosis center / pelvic pain doctors and she referred me specifically to the fertility doctor. I had a laparoscopic endometriosis surgery a few months later and no endo was found. Rather than trying to connect me with other specialists in her network or even being remotely supportive and kind, she simply said "there's no physiological explanation for why you're in so much pain." It took me over a year to revisit my gynecological health bc a doctor i trusted made me feel so horrible and also crazy. Two years and a second laparoscopic later with a different hospital and a bunch amount of endo was found and removed, and it was also identified in the photos from my first surgery. If you're looking for someone to do an annual exam / pap and dont have complex needs she's fine, but I absolutely do not recommend her for anything complex.

Dr. D is straight forward and informative…read more She was my second opinion as I had been suffering with endo for years. My current ob-gyn didn't really take my symptoms seriously as I had been suffering with extreme pain during my menstrual cycle for years and it began to get worse over time. All she stated was "you just need to get pregnant." I was tired of the pain and needed answers. The pain would keep me up at night. One early morning I had, had enough and did a google search for endo specialists in the area and Dr. D's name popped up. Considering how much pain I was in, I was thinking this has to be it. Surely she will give me the answers I need. I filled out a form online and was contacted that day. I scheduled a consultation and Dr. D informed me of my options after giving her my symptoms. Going in we thought a simple laparoscopy would happen. Upon finding out, via ultra-sound, I had a fibroid, Dr. D performed a myomectomy. She explained the process and recovery and assured me I'd be fine. Just to be frank, my results were pretty bad. Endo on my uterus, ovaries and Fallopian tubes; along with Adenomyosis and my uterus was pretty much destroyed by the Endo. I knew a hysterectomy would end up being my near future after hearing this news. Speaking with Dr. D about best options, I could tell she was pretty sad for me. I could tell she was concerned about how I would take the news. She explained my options and answered my questions. Although I didn't have a "happy" ending, I finally found out why I was in so much pain. Don't wait too late like I did. I honestly think had I found her years ago, my results would be different. Painful periods that keep you in bed and taking tons of medicine is not normal. Go see Dr. D. I honestly think she is one of the best.

The level of care they are showing me today is 7 years too late. ========================== She performed surgeries on me twice. I was told everything went well, both times. However, findings from years later would say otherwise. I have records to back this up. Not to disclose the medical details, but here is a peak: During a scheduled office visit two weeks after the 2nd surgery, I shared with the office staff (maybe a nurse) the specific questions & findings I need to ask her that day after they checked in. I was told Dr. Danilyants will see me shortly after they took my blood pressure + heart rate. Then, 15 minutes later, that same staff/nurse came to tell me Dr.Danilyants CAN'T see me today. No calls or anything from her or her office EVER SINCE. That says a lot, ain't it?

She insisted that Dr. Porter was one of the great ones and I am so glad I listened! Dr. Porter has been there through all of my OBGYN struggles and finally, she was there to deliver my baby. She is incredibly caring and I trust her completely. She made my biggest worries feel like great opportunities and she is so laid back. She's funny and honest. When I had to induce my baby because he was overdue, she was there to deliver him. I had to have a C-Section because he was in the breech position, but Dr. Porter assured me everything will be ok. She was wonderful. Her comments during the operation made me laugh and gave me a great "birthing story". Now that I am pregnant again, I was initially worried but she eased all of my worries and turned them into excitement. She has always been able to calm me down. I honestly cannot express enough how great she is. She is so real and down to earth and that's almost impossible to find in a doctor nowadays. My insurance provider suggested Dr. Sedghi as an option, so I decided to try her out. I will be going back! I was able to get scheduled within the week when I called for an appointment and the office staff was polite. Everything went smoothly once I got there. Their building is very nice and high tech, and my paperwork was done quickly. My appointment was for 1:45 and it was about 1:55 when I got called in, which I feel is an acceptable amount of time to wait. The nurse who took care of me at the beginning was super friendly and chatty, and made everything a breeze. Once I was done with the nurse, I only had to wait about 5 minutes for Dr. Sedghi. Even though it was the first time I had met her, Dr. Sedghi was SO warm and kind that I felt like I had been going to her for years! The check-up was comfortable, professional, and quick. I had a few questions about different birth control options and she gave me tons of information and pamphlets before I left and personally explained them to me. Dr. Sedghi even offered to do regular bloodwork for me because I don't have a primary care doctor which was very much appreciated.
