It's nice to have a capital one bank in the neighborhood especially when your shopping or grabbing something to eat. This location needs more than one ATM machine. When you park in the parking alot in the back the bank is right next to CVS. The problem is there's only 1 ATM and people will stand there instead of people waiting outside until a person finish there transactions. read more

This place deserves zero stars. I closed my account here at least seven years ago because of the incompetence. However, my grandmother is still a member of this bank Whenever I accompany my grandma the teller ,ASLIMA JEFFRIES ,asks my grandmother why she's withdrawing whatever amount of money she is withdrawing that day. it's very awkward because how does one respond to such nosiness? We have never experienced such inappropriate , bizarre behavior from a bank teller. She is like a nosy housewife. Today's incident is what prompted me to, on yelp. Today I accompanied my grandmother to the bank so she can put a beneficiary on her account there. Recently her estate attorney advised her to put beneficiaries on her bank accounts. We sat down with I believe her name was MARYAM, MIRIAM (or some variation of that sort). This person had no idea what we were talking about. We had to get the attorney on the phone to explain to her how to do her job. Apparently capital one staff training does not include beneficiary forms. So we filled out the papers and since capital one doesn't have a notary, we went across the street to a different bank to have the form notarized. When we returned back to capital one after having the form notarized we gave it to MARYAM MIRIAM so that she could fax it. After she returned from faxing it she said to my grandmother that she needed to speak with her alone and asked me to give them privacy. I stepped a few feet away and I heard her asking my grandmother if she was sure she wanted to make me the beneficiary on her bank account. My grandmother was absolutely astounded and gave a shriek. I was absolutely astounded and I asked her " why would you ask my grandmother all of this after the fact". If this was a case of trying to protect the elderly from exploitation it would've made more sense to ask my grandmother this before everything was notarized and faxed over. In any event it was just downright nosiness and incredibly inappropriate. I don't know where they find the people who work at this location. I think it's high time to stop hiring useless housewives with sh!t for brains. read more

I had a virtual savings account with ING, but they got absorbed by Capital One Bank, and I needed to open a business account during the pandemic, so I decided to go here. Staff was friendly, but due to the pandemic protocols, all transactions had to be done at a teller window, instead of seated at a desk, which made the process of passing and signing documents cumbersome. Two stars due to the pandemic, three stars if these were normal times. read more

I struggle with my feelings at this branch. I have had tellers walk away from me. Tellers over ID me to the point the manager questions them. But today is the last straw. I came to the bank 8:45z very difficult to find a spot 2 blocks away. Just to find that ALL atms were being Services at the same time. I don't understand the thought process here. Seems greedy in bank side. Everyone is rushing to get to work and YOU need to make it more convenient for you the bank and not us the client. So I have to stand around for 15 min for you to open the doors. Question ~ would you send all the employees to lunch at the same time ?? NOPE. Avoid there at all cost. About to close my account with capital one as well. The only competent and customer friendly person there is Larissa. The tellers had the audacity to tell me that it's common sense and that I should understand how check works. I don't work in finance but those incompetence personnel won't understand that because they obviously lack people skill. You don't insinuate that customers are stupid and form a mob gang against the customers that keep your business going. They obviously don't know their job nor this made up policy that they have yet to show me where it said I was unable to deposit my check. Capital One charged me a $3 fee to check my balance at a TD Bank's ATM (which only charged $2 to withdraw cash out of network). Having been a longtime customer, I was shocked and my protests fell on deaf ears when I spoke up. Seriously, look at what credit unions offer in terms of customer-friendly policies. I've closed one account here so far and look forward to closing three more. What's in your wallet? Hopefully not a Capital One card. read more

I went to Capital One Bank in Fresh Meadows today on September 30th 2017 I had to wrap my pennies up to cash them they would not accept them because the guy said it was not done well I am handicapped what do they expect perfectly last time he took the panties and no problem I don't think he wanted to do with his job this is the second time it's happened to me before I was in Rego Park Capital One and they kicked me off the line because of the pennies I think I'm going to change Bank because I deserve better treatments from the people that work at the bank handicap is no joke read more

Extremely disappointed. Been using this bank for over 25 years but after many changes by corporate office, I find a lack of customer service both at this establishment and corporate office. Slowly I have removed 80% of my accounts and will rid myself of aggravation shortly. I find that commercial banks located nearby offer a whole array of services and back them up with professional and courteous customer service. read more

A bank that won't remember your name, well at least for one of the Employees that keeps coming back and forth from behind her desk in the front (which I'm assuming is customer service rep) and goes in the back to become a teller; her name is "Yincely". Seen this woman on more than one occasion, she usually jumps to become a teller when lines got long or she got bored; couldn't remember my face or name and supposedly this is great customer service. She remembers who she wants, because each times she gives me problems!! No one else I.d.'s With withdrawals unless your new or they don't trust you; with this lady it's the same thing every time! What's the difference between a pothead and this woman you ask? The pothead will actually remember your face! The difference between my joke and the woman is the woman seen me plenty of times, passed by me several occasions; yet claims to have never seen me before at this bank. I've been coming here for more than 11 years!!! I've seen more tellers come and go, and wonder why, but I know the real reason! So tell me how can you not remember the faces you come across?! It's so much more than doing a job, specially if you don't remember the clients you come across!! I'm always offended at the fact she chooses to do this to me all the time! Just like calling the voice automated system for the card, they ask a series of questions, and how else would they I.d you? That's right, there isn't a way to show your I.d. , which was another point I made to the lady. If someone was to have lost their I.d. , I've been to he bank plenty of times where they ask you security questions and I'm more than happy to comply. I've been coming to this location for years and no one else gives me as much problem as this one lady! This lady always giving me excuses!! Different excuses each time and by this point I've been coming to the bank for years, so stop with the bullshit! If your point was valid, than how come your employees don't go by the same "policy" or "protocol"?! Exactly!!!!... At this point, I WOULDN'T recommend Capital One Bank to anyone who asks, "what bank you think I should open a account to?", I would steer you clear of this excruciating experience!! And if you have Capital One , there are better branches with better attitude employees and the lines actually move way faster!!! And here's a little tip to the rest of the branches who has one atm or only gives out $20; there is only a handful of branches that have atms that allow you to take out of the atm $1,$5,$10,$20; the rest of the Capital Ones should get the same improvements!!! It's bullshit to have to go through all these obstacles, when you've already done it with the other branches, which I'm Sure you know the ones I speak of. If our opinions really matter, than why hasn't our suggestions been taking in consideration? I've given my bank plenty of suggestions over the years and nothing has been acknowledged! It hasn't been since recently, that they finally added another damn second atm!!! With the first one always malfunction, you figure Capital One would give us at least two in the front and two in the back. This spot has a bad reputation for a reason!! Maybe a lot of change is needed , including some employees! HR should teach them How to be better with customer service! We can tell when your employees have short patience! It's only glass, but we all feel the tension, and the long lines waiting forever!!
