I had to do a three hour glucose test when there was nothing wrong with me and they bruised my veins. I was about to faint driving home. They don't focus on the health and happiness of the mother carrying the child. If you're looking for an office full of staff that doesn't know their own policies or how to do their jobs, this is the place for you. You tell them your insurance won't cover a midwife they say "no it's ok" until they call you a few days before your appointment to go "so your insurance doesn't cover a midwife and ws don't have any availability for weeks", like no shit that's why I said that. Also, good luck seeing the same OB or having one at the hospital that's cool with your birthing plan, because that's not what happens here. And if you're fat they'll treat you like shit the entire time while being condescending to you. Have research that proves them wrong? They don't care, they want the weekends off so C-sections are pushed hard here. Find yourself another place, trust me. Edit: oh and as you sit waiting in the exam room you can enjoy listening to the nurses talk shit about other patients and yourself. Including names, so HIPPA isn't really cared about here. read more

Choose a different location- the staff as a whole are short with their attitude and quick to argue. A staff member today, 10/10/22, argued with me back and forth in the closed bathroom. You would think since they are an OBGYN they'd have some more understanding of issues woman can occur but they don't care. Won't be returning. read more

Dr. Mitesh Kothari is an absolutely outstanding medical professional. After having a bad experience with a different OB/GYN, I was recommended to Capital Women's Care, and Dr. Kothari specifically, over a decade ago by my primary physician and have been in Dr. Kothari's great care ever since. I moved out of the Hagerstown area years ago, but maintained Dr. Kothari as my gynecologist because of the quality of care I was receiving from him. He is a gynecologist who cares about your whole health, including diet and exercise. CWC maintains a dietician on-site for consultation. CWC is also convenient with the lab testing right in-office. My friends and family know that I think he is the best and that's why I have traveled (hours) back to Hagerstown for years and maintained him as my doctor. I recommend Dr. Kothari and CWC to you. read more

The doctors were wonderful the care I received by them, wonderful. However their billing department is a DISASTER. Over a year after my daughters birth I'm sent a bill for $2000. They billed the secondary as primary, okay mistakes happen we go over my correct insurance info. Get a letter from my secondary insurance company that says they waited way too long to bill and sending the full total to them when my primary paid their portion already and they're basically billing incorrectly. So I contact CWC to advise them of this as soon as I give them my info they say "oh you have a lot of notes on your account I'll have to read these and call you back" then the calls ended after I got a call back I was directed To send them a fax of the EOB from insurance. They say they'll have it appealed, corrected and resubmitted, get another EOB stating I'm again not responsible it's too late and still billed wrong. Send this to CWC and they clearly miss the part where it says POLICY HOLDER NOT RESPONSIBLE but yet they're still trying to hang me out on the bill for their error. At this point I'm done arguing this with them clearly they don't want a dollar loss and clearly I'm not paying it and have all the documentation I need if sent to any collections agency. read more

I have been going to Capital Womens Care quite some time now. Previously I was just for my yearly checkup. However, now that I am pregnant I am being seen more often. My horrible experience started when I called in to make my first prenatal appointment, she said I would have to wait until I was 8 weeks, which I know this is normal since this is not my first child. I called back about 3 weeks before my appointment to reschedule and they said they couldn't get me in for another TWO MONTHS! This seemed a little strange to me but hey, they're the professionals, and if they didn't have anything sooner, I assumed a lot of people liked them so I decided to stick it out and wait for the appointment, mind you I would be halfway through my pregnancy not being seen even for my first prenatal appointment at that time. So my July 11th appointment comes in, I arrive 15 minutes early as scheduled. I was to see Dr. Miller for my first prenatal appointment, have an ultrasound, and see her immediately afterwards. At about 3:00pm, the radiologist who was going to do my ultrasound comes out and yells across the whole waiting room that they will not be able to do my ultrasound since the appointment was scheduled incorrectly but Dr. Miller would still me. I was furious. My fiancé, his mom, sister and I had all taken off work as we were excited to see our baby for the first time. I started crying. Mind you, my appointment was at 2:45pm, and here I am sitting in the waiting room feeling embarrassed, and upset that my family has taken off work so we could share what was supposed to be an amazing experience together at 3:30. They finally take me back an hour after my appointment was supposed to be started and Dr. Miller just said sorry she would see me in two weeks and the employee would be having a discussion with her about what happened today. I waited at this point two hours to hear her pretty much tell me what I had already known, that this place was a joke! She said she could see me back in two weeks. So I had to walk back out to the waiting room and reschedule another month out because I would be on vacation when she wanted to see me back. So I will be about 21 weeks when I am having my first prenatal appointment. I understand mistakes happen but I was very upset about what happened today and was crushed, I had waited this long along with my family to see our child. Every time I call in, I either get hung up on, they're rude, when I make an appointment it either needs to be rescheduled a day before I'm supposed to have the appointment, or they don't have anything for a month out. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because I see Marlea Boyd, she's a Physician Assistant but however can't see me for my pregnancy apparently because she's not a doctor. She is the most compassionate medical provider I've ever dealt with. Other then that, I am highly upset with this practice and when I return if I do not have a good experience I will be switching. I understand mistakes happen but the way they dealt with it was unacceptable. read more

I found out I was pregnant, this place was recommended to me so I decided to call. I knew that I am at high risk pregnancy but because I didn't have my insurance card on hand though through the computer they saw that it was active they didn't want to scheduler me until I get it in the mail, they just did not care that I was worried about my baby, though I let them know that as much as I can. When I came to the office I was 10 min late, because on the way there I was throwing up, they wanted to rescheduled me, because I cried that I was worried and needed to b seen now, they took me in but still didn't do the ultrasound,oh I forget to mention that I called running late and on the phone they said it is fine and when I got there they said that I should have been informed to come in early though I never was when the apt was scheduled or confirmed!! Today I called them because all of my pregnancy symptoms were gone, I no longer have sore breasts and no nausea, I am very worried but they said they can't do nothing for me because it does not sound like a medical emergency. Basically I don't feel any care from this office, it's so modern and technologically advanced but they forget about the most important thing and that is love and care for patience. Oh and one more thing you will not be seeing a doctor, you will b seeing a mid wife, the one I saw was cold stoned and in a rush to leave!! I had the absolute worst experience here! I went in January 1st for my first ultrasound and they didn't see anything, went back 2 weeks later and still no baby. I had a blighted Ovum. I decided with the doctor to take the pills to flush everything out. I was told they would repeat ultrasound in a month to make sure everything was cleared out. Up until here although this was very emotional and sad time for me I was happy with this office. 4 weeks later I was still bleeding. I kept calling and by the 4th call actually was able to speak with my doctor who instead of scheduling an ultrasound sent me to have my levels checked. I was told the test would be ready that day. I called EVERY day for 7 days before I actually recieved those results. Then still no ultrasound took another blood level test which was still HI. They finally scheduled an ultrasound which diagnosed that there was still leftover material. I met with an arrogant doctor that day who told me to have the D&C. He did not explain the procedure well and shook it off like it was nothing. (I have never had any anesthesia before). I met with the Practice manager and scheduling manager who said they didn't have any openings at the hospital for the following day like I wanted. They called me a few hours later and let me know they fit me in. I left work early the next day and went into the hospital. I sat there for almost 3 hours hooked up to IV's to then have another doctor from the practice call me and tell me I should go home because they were most likely not going to be able to fit me in that day. I was so upset after everything and now this. The scheduling manager who at this point was not friendly told me that this could happen because the fit me in! I wasn't made aware prior that this could happen. So I went home. Got a call the next morning and went in and had the procedure. By now it was the middle of march! I bled for 10 weeks!!! No one ever returned phone calls. I constantly had to advocate for myself to get the care I deserved. This was definitely not what I was expecting to have to deal with while having a mis carriage. Dr. Solberg delivered my second child when he was a solo practitioner. He answered all my pregnancy concerns, which were many and never made me feel as if my questions were not of importance. His beside manner before and after my delivery...amazing! Even though the practice has grown, I will still only see him. However, several of my family/friends have seen the other physicians, mid-wives and nurse practitioners and raved about them, so should I ever need to see someone else, I know I will be in good hands! read more

I went in for an uncontrollable procedure that was given by Dr miller. She had a very busy schedule of surgeries but saved time for me. She made me know exactly what was happening and the reality that it might not work. Both her and the nurse helping made me feel like super women because I made the decision to do this and she apologized often because she knew that I was super uncomfortable and in a bit of pain. If I had to choose anyone to deliver my baby or to do that procedure I would choose her again. She is amazing and makes you feel welcome and doesn't give you all the science talk, but gives you exactly what you need to know. Also the midwife mills she is the sweetest women I've met she seems to make the visit with her personal and makes sure your well cared for and happy. She made me (a kinda shy person) feel very comfortable and made sure I knew everything that was happening with that visit and the next visit to come. I appreciate everyone I have met and who I might meet later on. read more
