It was an experience I will never forget and I walked away with what I consider to be high quality art and a collection of genuine, personal moments frozen in time forever. Alyona went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and that the process was as simple as possible. She helped coordinate and plan everything (Hair, make-up, clothing, location, theme) all the way from our pre-photoshoot consultation, through 2 weeks of putting outfits together and even helped me through the photoshoot with posture, posing and angles. You don't just show up w/ a bunch of clothes and take pictures, everything is pre-planned and carefully thought out & coordinated (together). The homemade snacks were delicious as well. When I was looking for a photographer online I was magnetically drawn to her work because she was the only one where I could literally see HER in her client's photographs. I was confident that she was able to see the absolute best in each of her clients and bring it out of them and capture it....which was very important to me. I am in the middle of a very personal and intimate project where I needed natural and genuine photographs to compliment it perfectly. I am not just satisfied with the final product, I am grateful to have worked with Alyona and to have shared such a special experience. I expected to have a few great pics, but I was so surprised to find that almost every single picture looked like magazine quality. All my family and friends are blown away. I received so much more than what I expected and will definitely be working with her in the future.

I thought this would be a great idea for a gift for a friend. I emailed the company and asked them…read moreif it was possible to purchase a gift card and they responded that it would not be a problem. There were no special instructions in the email on how to purchase a gift card or any guidance and I thought nothing of it. I called the number on their website on monday around two pm to make sure that they were open. There was no answer, but I figured they were busy, so I headed to the address that is posted on their website to buy the gift card. I got to the building and there was assigned parking for all of the other businesses around, but them. I ended up having to park on the street. I walked into this old run down school building and was very scared for my safety. The building was disgusting, smelled like urine, and was full of classrooms. I finally found the tiny door -leading to god knows what, that had a cheap sign that said district entertainment. It looked like a joke, nothing like a professional business, but more so like it was a grade school project. I tried to open the door and it was locked... There was no one in this sad little building for me to ask what the deal was with district entertainment. I tried calling again with no answer so I left with no gift card. I went home and emailed the company and they emailed me back and told me in this second email that I can simply purchase a gift card online through PayPal and they were very confused as to how I found out their location. I was very upset that this information was not conveyed to me in the first email when i could have saved so much time and gas. I was offered a discount and given an apology but after seeing what a beat up, run down, rickety building this is located in, I wouldn't have my friend try to record his music there if they let him do it for free. I can't imagine how anyone can have a great recording session with tons of students populating the building. The decision is yours, but I would recommend finding a different venue with customer service reps who are competent and value your time.

More of an old fashioned get to know you process with phone calls. We spoke with Kempton for all of that. He was attentive and helpful with juggling our schedules. Brett worked so well with our kids. He is perceptive and masterful. Our session was chaotic but he didn't miss a beat. The unveiling was super cool. We walked into the studio to see our painting on the easel in all of its glory. I'm not usually a crier but it really got me. This portrait will always hold a special place in our family.

I had the same experience with this business as many others who are commenting that when you have a…read morevoucher you paid for as part of a charity auction, you aren't a priority. I paid for a voucher worth 2k at a recent charity event. When I called to schedule, the woman I spoke with (I assume she is the office manager) could not have been ruder. When I mentioned what I was looking for - a portrait of our family dog, she told me they don't do pet portraits. She then told me they used to do animals, but no longer do them. Below is dog portrait on the Lubin site, which I exhaustively looked through prior to buying the voucher at auction. I then asked her if she could show me where the policy was listed online and she got irritated and said, "if you can't find it, I don't know what to tell you." Following that comment, I asked to speak to one of the artists to see if they would make an exception and she offered to connect me with him in mid-July, which at the time was three months away. I was literally taken aback by the treatment and that she would not work to find 10 minutes for a call with Mr. Lubin so that I could understand a bit more about the policy, which is nowhere to be found online. When I asked her why they changed the policy, (which again is not on their website) she said she didn't know. I also have to laugh because there are many reviews on here and on Google about the rude staff - one customer below described her poor experience, and she actually had portraits of her dogs done. I finally just chalked the whole experience up to making a very nice donation to the charity but have encouraged them to not work with Lubin again. If this business does not want to talk to customers who have vouchers with respect, then they should not donate vouchers to local charities. Additionally, they really need to make their policies clear and not false advertise. Very poor experience. Do not recommend.

He shot our wedding in a chapel with challenging light - most cell phone pictures were dark. He spent the time testing the light and they came out perfectly even before editing! Scheduling the appointment was easy -- I was able to get in within a week of calling. When we arrived, this pair was welcoming and friendly and put us all at ease. Marge was wonderful with our little girl and has a great eye with posing us and our little one. The photos!!! I was truly amazed at the photos. It was so hard to choose which ones to order. The pictures were ready withing 3 business days. All the images were put on a website where I could review and compare as well as order prints. We were also able to send the website to our family members so they could see too! Costs: I think they were very reasonable -- the cost of the shoot was just about $50 for a 1.5 or 2 hour shoot. The pictures themselves are what costs the money especially since we were buying for ourselves and our parents. However, they do offer you the ability to buy the image digital so you can produce as many as you want. I will be using this team for other milestone shots! As an aside - I also just learned that another one of our friends just used them for their wedding back in August 2008 and loved them as well!

Additionally, he was willing to accommodate the types and styles of pictures we wanted (i.e. if we wanted certain moments to be captured a certain way). He was also very knowledgeable about the right way to photograph so the pictures would come out exceptionally beautiful. It was a cloudy day, but when we look at the pictures, we realize just how vibrant and full of color was around us. He did an amazing job!
