I got a 4 tooth bridge here for $4k Summer '25 after losing one of my front veneers on some beef Jerky and opting for replacing 4 teeth over that 1 tooth for maximum aesthetic results. I trust Doctor White more than the guy who used to own this establishment. I probably would've paid my previous dentist double. As far as the teeth, prep work, and quality of Dentistry. I'd say it's A-1... second to none. They look real. I only worry about my teeth cause I like to use em a lot, but I've been babying them as I allow them to grow into my gums. I visited this dental practice for several years. They did two crowns and several fillings. Four years after the crowns, Dr. Senter informed me my crowns needed to be redone as well as the fillings. When I questioned him about this and the fact that they were only a few years old, he snapped back at me, "Well, they don't last FOREVER." Also, the last two appointments for regular exams/cleanings, I was told the hygienist did not "have time to see me," so had to reschedule my cleanings and have me come back a second time for the routine care. I switched dentists after these bad experiences. The new dentist I am seeing told me the crowns that were put on my teeth (done by Dr. Senter's assistant and NOT Dr. Senter), were not done properly and there was a large gap at the top of each crown which was causing food to get stuck underneath the crowns. I saw the X-rays of the crowns and they were awful. I pay cash for my dental services - no insurance - and am now being faced with having to replace the crowns four years later because they were done so poorly. read more

Was actually a waste of my time. I've never been to a dentist where they don't even clean your teeth at the visit. They said the hygienist called in but they could have given me a courtesy phone call/option to reschedule. They also scheduled my appointment during the dentist's lunch so had to wait for him to return just to look at my teeth. Overall customer service could improve as well. read more

Dr Senter's work is always 5-star! I explained to him that my 89-year old dad had dentures that, although they seem to fit, are worn out. The dentures are approximately 20 years old and look nasty. Unfortunately, I could not get dad to agree to go to the dentist. He didn't want to spend any money as he says that he won't need them for long (he said the same thing 12 years ago when they SHOULD have been replaced). Although he stated that it wasn't optimal, Dr Senter agreed to use the old dentures as a model for new ones. I knew that I was tossing the dice, as dad would refuse to come for an adjustment if they didn't fit. The good doc made the new set and I took delivery of them. I took them to dad. He popped them in his mouth. He looked like a new man! You could see his teeth when he spoke and smiled (the old ones were worn down). Dad has been happily wearing them for a few weeks now. The second star is because I actually did like the dentist, however the communication and costs are a disaster. We first went in on a groupon which was around $100 each(or something similar to that). The second time we were going in, they said that we could just pay the groupon rate which was around $200 for two of us. The third time I didn't ask because I assumed it would be around the same price but when I went to check out for 2 of us she charged us $600!!!! I told them I was NOT expecting to pay $600 that day and maybe she knocked off $40. Later i called to cancel all of my family's future appointments because i was upset about the costs but they didn't care or call back. They also called months later to try to confirm my husband's appointment so i had to call back AGAIN to cancel. Then let's talk about my husband's experience. I was quoted about $800 for a deep cleaning for him. When he went in he wasn't given a receipt or anything, they just charged him $1200!! She said she would give me the receipt later(which makes no sense) but then I never got it. So we definitely felt scammed by this place. I have been a patient for seven years. Ironically, seven years ago, my real front tooth fell out on 12/24. It was 2pm or about. I cold called many offices to see if I could get tooth reattached, I really thought it would be a miracle. Jeri answered one of my cold calls (My previous dentist retired,) and Jeri stated get here ASAP and explained the office had a lab and tech. Jeri took a picture of my mouth sent to Dr. Senter and he ok'd treatment. After a few hours I had a tooth added to my stay plate. I looked human and Jeri was very fair with the cost of my emergent treatment. My teeth were horrible, both of my parents lost their teeth in late teens early twenties. At that time I had a history with 16 root canals and all were capped from previous dentists. Prior to becoming a patient, I was treated with judgment with distain andI didn't smile much.  My first appt with Dr. Senter was hard emotionally but he never once gave me an attitude. He was professional and kind. He took time explaining my bone may not endur implants and dentures would be my next step. Going through treatment for deadly rare cancer during this time, I appreciated Dr. Senter's honesty and ethics compared to a previous dentist consult "Implants in one day," I was offered to get dental implants done in a day with an estimate of buying a house. After I agreed to get dentures the process went well. I read a review that stated Dr. Senter's is passive aggressive toward his staff and my experience is that Senter and his staff keep the atmosphere light hearted but want the best dental procedures outcomes for their patients. Maybe I don't understand the office banter and the staff are not great comedians but the tone and interaction with Dr. Senter and his staff was done with good intent. I never saw Dr. Senter treat his staff offensively or mean.  When the day came for my extractions, I was nervous because other dentists told me I had deep hook roots and other reasons why my extractions may be difficult. While Dr. Senter did not disagree, I felt no nerve pain at all just a lot of pressure. I ended up getting only two adjustments and two alignments.  Jeri also helped me work with my dental plan making sure everything was arranged and deductions were collect. she does a good job advocating if needed. In fact, the payment for my missing front on 12/24/12 she applied towards my denture follow ups.  The office was accommodating working around my oncology appointments as well. Sometimes my owed payments were higher than anticipated, although; Jeri would explain and show me what my dental plan will or will not cover. Aside, we need better dental insurance. I need another alignment and Jeri told me after initial treatments my dental insurance does not cover. I will check in again. I want my husband to get a new pair but he is busy taking care of me and working full time from home. He needs to put himself first to eat steaks again. Their prices are higher than other places, however; the dentist has many years of experiences, it is quality work but do speak up for +1p I have never been called beautiful in my entite life until I had my new dentures to properly chew and have a nice smile, sometimes people would tell me I have a beautiful smile now. The lab staff and Dr. Senter did a good job making my dentures  The bottom portion does needs Polligrip because my mouth is small and needs an anchor. My top dentures only need Polligrip with my wide weight fluctuations from my oncology medications.  Their office sent me a get well card signed by all the staff members shortly after my earlier treatments and battling other health diseases. I thought that was thoughtful. After seven years my dentures are looking, fitting well, I need another alignment. I am not related to anyone from this dental team nor am I friends with anyone. I am a patient with a good experience and I am excited for my husband to get his work done here after the new year. read more

Going to the dentist is something I have avoided most of my life; which doesn't mean that I have neglected my teeth ... I had my first fillings at age 19 after the summer I became addicted to Sour Apple Bubble Gum. I didn't need a dentist again until I had to have all my impacted wisdom teeth removed at age 21. Following that, I didn't see a dentist until I was 50 when I cracked a tooth and needed to have it patched. After another decade, I figured it was time to get a check-up since I was worried that my 40yr old fillings had passed their life expectancy and could be allowing decay to develop around them. I saw a special offer on Sacramento dealsaver and that is what got me in to Capitol Dental Group for an exam, x-rays and cleaning. Exam and x-rays revealed my teeth, gums, and bone were in good shape but my four old fillings were deteriorated and loosening and needed to be removed and redone. This time the broken tooth would be covered with a porcelain crown to replace the previous patch job that hadn't been done all that well. Getting all this work done was expensive but necessary, and I am lucky to have insurance that covered part of the cost. It went as well and painlessly as could be expected. I was able to schedule appointments at convenient times for me and never had to spend a lot of time in the waiting room. When I got a bill and didn't pay right away just because I forgot about it (I do loose track of things sometimes) they didn't hassle me about it and I appreciated that. Dr. Senter seems to me to be a perfectionist who wants things done right (and that's a good quality in a dentist), and the receptionist, techs and hygienists were friendly, pleasant, competent and helpful. I have no qualms about recommending this practice to anyone looking for a good dentist. read more

Choosing a new dentist, I went to this office to make an appointment . The man at the counter looked up and when he saw me he said "What's up?"in a way that said "Well, what do you want?" I turned to leave and he said, "Whatever" in a way that said, "Why did you even walk in here?" With that, I went to the 3rd floor and was greeted warmly by David Berg, DDS's receptionist who said, "Hello, how can I help you?" At Berg's office I was treated with respect and professionally. I went to Dr. Senter's office because my teeth were in fairly bad shape after years of neglect. They made a number of suggestions, cosmetic and medical, which I approved. After months of treatment, and well over $12,000 of work, I was not very happy with the results. My teeth were not properly aligned and the caps were 'natural' color, but certainly not as white as I would have expected. After 4 years, the bridge they installed came out. Overall, on the bright side, their service was good and personal. The front desk manager, Jeri, is super friendly and personable. Now, on the not so bright side, Dr. Senter has a pronounced passive-aggressive attitude with his staff, and constantly makes snarky remarks belittling them that he, evidently, considers 'humor'. Very unprofessional! Jeri at the front desk called the day before my appointment to confirm. I had answered the call and confirmed my appt for July 3. The next morning she texted and called twice without leaving a message. Her text was partially incoherent but basically asked if I could move up my appointment without suggesting another time. When I called her back she asked if I could move my appointment up from 3 PM to noon and I said that I had already received approval from my management to take that time off. She said that all the other appointments for the afternoon had canceled for the 4th of July holiday. I said I can't move my appointment earlier but I can reschedule for the next week. She said the next appointment was at the end of September. I told her I'd like to keep my appointment since I already confirmed it. And she said, no I'm telling you the staff won't be there. So she canceled my appointment to get off early for the holiday. The two stars are for the crown replacement. It was rather painless and hasn't given me any problems. The hygienists were very nice, caring, and professional. However I still had to wait almost an hour for that appointment. read more

I had surgery to remove a tumor from my leg and took less pain killers than the tooth filling they did. After almost five months the pain has finally subsided where the pain no longer keeps me up at night (sort of). I still have to floss around it carefully since they left a big wide gap between my teeth. I was referred by a friend to Dr. Senter and his staff. Sometimes when a friend gives a referral it sometimes doesn't match the recommendation. In this case it met and exceeded my expectations. Jeri in front is very friendly and good at her job. Dr. Senter was very clear about the treatment that I needed and delivered it painlessly, Tami was very professional, her treatment was excellent, and she made the experience fun. What I like about the team at Capitol Dental Group is they are a great combination of Professionalism and being Down to Earth. Let me start by saying two things. First, I'm one of those people who gets REALLY nervous with dentists. Second, I've been with this group for ten years, and never even THOUGHT of looking for another dentist. The banter is so funny I forget to be nervous, but they're also highly professional. I'm highly resistant to local anesthetics, and Dr. Senter always makes sure to keep me numbed. Jeri is a fantastic office manager whom I've seen fight to make sure insurance covers everything they should, and does a great job of scheduling within my limited availability. I was talked into getting dentures as being my best choice. Boy was that a mistake! I still had 13 teeth left. I now have dentures that have never fit properly. I use a tube of fixadent weekly! There's a hole in one of the teeth on the upper dentures where food and drink continually get trapped... causing extreme pain, and I can't get the dentures out because of the glue! I'm 58 years old and live on soup and mash potatoes! I have had the dentures for 6 years and paid just over $7000. I was told they were porcelain (there not) I was also told they were top of the line (there not). The top denture is whiter than the bottom, when I questioned that, Dr. Senter told me 'the bottom teeth are are always a few shades darker than the top' (that's not true). So now I have to pay again for something that should have been done right the first time. I would Never recommend this place... in my opinion it's all about how much they can charge you!! read more

Jeri at the front desk has been there the entire time, always been extremely accommodating about fitting me in when I have had schedule constraints, and so has Dr. Senter. Skilled staff, great hygienist and assistant and also a lab on site. Dr. Senter also seems to invest a lot in advancing his skills and practice. Nice office with modern equipment! Friendly and professional, and on the rare occasion when I needed some adjustment to a new crown or whatever, they were gracious about getting me in immediately. BE CAREFUL & BEWARE! This dentist's office is scamming people. They have a coupon in the Yellow Pages for an Exam, X-ray & Cleaning for $79.00. However, when you call them to set up an appointment, they only set you up preliminarily for an exam & x-ray only, which they make you pay for at that time. Then they CONSULT with you on the cleaning and try to negotiate a new price at that time, thereby making you pay extra for a cleaning. This is a very clever tactic to get extra money out of you and they completely admitted it when I was on the phone with them. I told them I would leave a yelp review of this and she said, it was perfectly fine lol. So, I'm using their coupon at a competitors dental office and they are honoring the exam, x-ray AND CLEANING for $79.00.. I can understand if they would want extra for a deep cleaning but a normal cleaning is all I wanted. Too bad, they lose a great patient but I will not be scammed or taken advantage of. read more
