I generally park near the entrance with Quickly, near Fresco Supermarket. Parking near Macy's got to be a problem with people not paying attention. I didn't see a Burlington, so they must be okay for now.

I sometimes stop here to take a break during my workday. It's a nice location, only about a mile east of I-680. The parking lot has shady trees, so it's a nice place to park on a sunny day. There's a good mix of major stores and businesses, such as: Lucky Supermarket, CVS Drugstore, O-Reilly's Auto Parts, Bank of America, and a Jack-in-the-Box. The other day, I was there for 1-1/2 hours. I didn't see any security patrols or anyone giving out parking tickets. Seems like a fairly safe area in the daytime. I did see a few "sketchy" people walking thru the parking lot. Also, I notice drivers don't drive within the marked lanes or paths. Yeah well, since there's no cars in the way, drivers just go straight to where they want to go. Overall, a nice and clean neighborhood shopping center.

Stop by this shopping center to meet any of your needs. There is something for everyone!

There are some big stores in the shopping center even though the center is small. There's a large Safeway, CVS, and a Fitness 19. There are smaller corporate stores like Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Baskin-Robbins. Then there's even smaller stores like H Salt Fish and Chips, Century Dry Cleaners, several clothing stores including San Jose Blue Jeans, a laundromat, Mount Pleasant Bottle Shop, Pho Lam, and Mount Pleasant Barber Shop. One night every year is special to many residents of the East San Jose and Alum Rock areas, It's called Hot San Jose Nights. After attending a show at the Fairgrounds during the day, everyone heads over to park their cars at the Mt Pleasant Center. They hang out talk about their rides and socialize with car clubs from around Northern California. There's rarely any problems and the array of classic cars, muscle cars, low-riders, and bombs is amazing! Close your eyes and imagine walking through rows of restored and partially restored cars while you're listening to tunes of the 50s and 60s.And if you're from that area... You'll see a lot of people that you knew from Elementary, Middle, and High School. You'll reminisce the past, you'll be amazed how much everyone has changed, and you will see old friends, their families, the cars, it's just amazing night! So if you're in the area of East San Jose stop by the Mount Pleasant Ctr. and patronize the small businesses there. And when you go there ask about Hot San Jose Nights. Basque in the Chicano Culture of East San Jose, and enjoy a walk through memory lane. You can get everything done in one stop! Mall is clean. Parking lot is huge. The one thing I have to ding them on is the lack of good restaurants. There's an L&L, Pasta Market, Smashburger on the main strip. Across the lot is Panda BJs and Chilis. If they had more eateries to choose from that would be great. There was a scary delusional person yelling obscenities while he walking along the strip. However, mall security must have shooed him away because you heard him one minute and the next minute, silence.
