The Pruneyard Shopping Center is home to many restaurants, retail businesses, and professional businesses. Some of the major stores are Marshall's, Pacific Catch, Trader Joe's, Sports Basement, Buca de Beppo's Italian Restaurant, Trudy's, Luna Mexican Kitchen, Orchard City Kitchen, etc. It's nice to walk around and shop in this two story shopping plaza. This review is about night at Pruneyard Shopping Center. It's very nice that they decorated lights to make this place feel cozy. Most restaurants are closed during the night, but it didn't surprise me that the more-nightlife ones tend to still open later during the evening. Most people come here during the night because of those restaurants. I remember that I usually come here to dine in at Buca di Beppo when I was younger. Still shocked that that restaurant is still here. I think the restaurant next to it used to be an ice cream shop until boba replaced it. I also was gonna go to that one pizza place until they permanently closed down. However, there is still nightlife going on here. You just need to find the right places to go. read more

I remember when the Pruneyard was a dead shopping center in bankruptcy with no stores to attract anybody to come to. It is far from that now. On any given night, the Pruneyard is packed with people eating at the delicious restaurants and shopping at the various stores or catching a movie at the cinema. The hardest part of this can be parking. My suggestion, head for the back. There's always plenty of parking along the west side of the property behind the towers. The Pruneyard is awesome for a get together with friends or just getting lunch to go. The parking is ok, usually I can find a spot. There's lots of nice restaurants like Luna Mexican or orchard City Kitchen. Starbird chicken or Asian box is good to get to go. Teaspoon boba is a good boba place. I like going to the Pruneyard by also dread it because one of the things I don't like about the Pruneyard is the parking. Parking in front of Marshall's is a nightmare and I always feel like people cannot park within the lines there and there's always a backup right in front of Marshalls. If you go to the other areas, oh my gosh, parking is also just as bad. It's been many many years since I last parked in the parking garage because it is quite inconvenient and it's all the way in the back. I do like some of the offerings at the Pruneyard including Marshalls, Mendocino Farms, Humphrey Slocumbe, Starbird and a few others. My husband and I recently stayed at a hotel at The Pruneyard for a long weekend for a friend's birthday party. The party took place at the hotel's courtyard. Guests stayed at the hotel, and the group dinner the following day was also located in the Pruneyard Shopping Center. Most guests, like us, flew into town, and did not rent a car, as most of the events were located at the Pruenyard Center. It was actually a perfect place for guests who did not have a car, as it really had all we needed. After all, it has a hotel, various shops, a movie theater, and several restaurants. Despite it being January, a rather chilly time in that area, the Pruneyard was a happening spot. The parking seemed to always be full, and during the day, it was bustling. I really loved how there was so much outdoor seating. There was a coffee shop in the center, with outdoor seating, and some general bench seating in the middle of the square. I liked that there was a bar and a restaurant without outdoor seating in the square as well. Lots of people were drinking and socializing, many with their dogs. It had a very fun, lively, community feel. If I lived nearby, I would walk my dog to the Pruneyard regularly for a coffee. It was nice there there were also some restaurants with outdoor seating away from the main square. I do wish there had been perhaps a few more bars or fast casual restaurants in the main square and, perhaps a bit more general open seating to make for a few more options in the heart of all the action. Since I had wanted to spend time in the center of the square to people watch, and just hang out, we sat in an outdoor beer bar, even though we don't even drink beer. A wine bar or other bar with seating in the center square would have been nice, as the other bars were a bit away from the hub. All in all, I really enjoyed The Pruneyard Shopping Center and feel that it is there perfect spot to spend an afternoon, or even to stay for the weekend for an event. read more

I love this shopping plaza it's quaint, cute, and chic. They have pretty much everything you need in terms of grocery shopping, movies, a bar, restaurants, bakeries, you name it! Parking is reasonable and easy to find, they do share a large lot with all retailers and the hotel. It's a nice place for a stroll with your family or dog, or even for a fun date night. Love the ambiance, prices are reasonable here. Environment is very nice, and great for a weekend brunch. Recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. read more

I've been able to find everything and then some in this parking lot. I celebrated my birthday here, toasted a friend's milestone, took up a new hobby, and bonded over shared interests - it's a place where a lot of magic happens. There are 4 banks, 7 clothing|accessories stores, over 15 restaurants, a grocery store, and even has a movie theater on site. 4 stars thanks to the huge food selections to choose from and the convenience of having dessert or post meal coffee|tea within walking distance. Minus one star due to the poopy parking situation. Be prepared to drive around and around and AROUND in attempts to finding a parking spot. I highly suggest you come super early to bypass all of the heavy traffic [if possible]. Coming by late doesn't really ensure easy parking due to the huge visitor turnout for happy hour and dinners plans. read more

I am here at least once a week and while some of the changes are welcome, I can't help but feel the attempts at being a higher end shopping center are making the consumer feel less welcomed. The parking is a nightmare and the lack of handicap parking makes it worse for those of us with limited mobility, forget trying to take a wheelchair. Today, I watched security threaten to tow not one but two vendors delivering to the various restaurants. How on earth are businesses supposed to stay in operation if their suppliers are being towed for delivering merchandise?!? read more

You can do just about anything in this very shopping center. Not only can you take care of your groceries, you can shop at Marashall's and Sports Basement (new addition to the plaza where Barnes and Nobles used to be) then walk over to Patxi's to enjoy their lunch special (a slice, a non-alcoholic beverage, and a salad for $9.99). After lunch if you want to kill 2-3 hours, walk over to Camera 7 to watch a movie but don't waste your money at the concession stand there, you can grab a dessert snack from Cold Stone or a slice of heaven at LeBoulanger afterwards. No one is like me - I can be out and be on the go the entire day so what I described is usually my typical Saturday or Sunday but instead of enjoying it at one place so I don't have to spend gas, I usually drive from one destination to the next. There are not many shopping centers you can kill all birds w/ one stone. Here at Pruneyard, you can. This shopping center is great for pampering yourself what w/ all the salons and massage services and to spend quality time w/ your significant other or w/ family and friends (i.e. lots of eateries, even for sports watching). Nothing like a mall but boutiques and a handful of bridal stores will have you overwhelemed. The Pruneyard Plaza Hotel is a hotel I've always wanted to stay at; right at this plaza, near the Los Gatos Creek Trail, and walking distance to downtown Campbell. The roommate and I went to The Pruneyard on Sunday, May 14th around 5pm. We mainly stopped by for dinner, but we were able to explore the shopping center a little. We showed up early for dinner, so we went to the Sports Basement first to browse. They had some stuff on sale, but nothing that I needed. There was a small section of Warriors gear which seemed to be priced cheaper than what I've seen at their Team Store. We had dinner at Outback Steakhouse with the roommate's family. Dinner left something to be desired, but they were nice enough to take our party early as we had reservations for 5:45pm. After dinner, the roommate and I went to Tin Pot Creamery to grab some ice cream for dessert. The shopping center itself is actually bigger than it looks as I only first noticed Outback, Sports Basement, and the surrounding area. It wasn't until we walked to Tin Pot that I realized there were a lot more store and restaurants. The Pruneyard does seem like an older plaza, but if you are looking for some chain restaurants, shopping, or even to see a movie, you can find it all here. read more

I feel like the Pruneyard has recently re-vamped itself and is no longer the dead center near Campbell that it once was when I visited for the first time back as a high schooler. Love how conveniently close this is to where I live now. It's a cute little shopping center, not too huge and not too pretentious with expensive shops. I love going to the Marshall's here and the Trader Joe's is usually always packed with people but it's definitely still convenient. This review is about The Pruneyard management only. Yes, the place needed a face lift, but pushing out the old favorites, many less expensive and great for families, was a bad idea. Not renewing or severing the lease of Outback, which was our go-to date night, and a chain that is notable for holding on to customers, and lots of them every night, in poor locations, for a more expensive Italian steakhouse? We might come for Orchard City Kitchen, or the Rock Bottom Brewery (and we don't drink beer), but none of the other restaurants fit us. Taking out Coldstone Creamery to insert Tin Pot Creamery, which does not offer milkshakes? Dumb. Various discussion sites have not been happy with this aspect, calling it a mini-Santana Row not needed in the small town of Campbell. Sure, we get a(n indie) bookstore again--if you can find it. That's nice. That "plenty of parking"? Not if you're mobility challenged--a very ableist idea. If you're going to claim plenty of parking, you'd damn well dedicate more of the nearby spots for handicapped visitors--and make sure the signs about fines, especially in the striped walkways, are patrolled and enforced. I don't bloody well care if you're there "only for a minute": if I can't get my sister in her chair into a spot, or park in one of the few designated spots, you're asking for a fine. I will either block you or take a photo of your license plate--and report it--next time. I have no patience for entitled affluenza drivers. You can't park close to what you visit--even Trader Joe's has fewer parking spots, but there are now three handicap spots right by. That part of the lot is still an accident waiting to happen. I'm not impressed with the "upgrade", and there are many more like me. read more

Located in Silicon Valley in Campbell. This was just the place we were looking due to hang a few hours before we head back home. The Pruneyard has a nice mix of shops. Great place to stop for lunch, movie, outdoor seating, dessert, grocery shopping, clothing stores, book store and fresh juices store nearby. I like that is high end and out door. I'm so glad we were able to find a parking fairly easily and we didn't get a ticket for parking there too long. Will remember to come back here for lunch again. read more

Cool, large shopping area with options for dining, shopping, and hanging out- coffee shops and bars, boutiques and chain clothing stores, grocery stores, and several restaurants- including pizza, Mediterranean, new american, and Mexican, just to name the few I noticed. Most restaurants and stores have either outdoor dining options or well-placed benches and chairs outside to take advantage of and chat with a friend or use your phone. Landscaping is well-maintained, too. Definitely a place you can spend quite a bit of time wandering. Not particularly upscale to where you have to come prepared to spend a lot, but not a place that is super cheap and junky either- good casual mix, good location, good selection. read more

One of my favorite shopping centers to walk around and check out in Campbell. They previously had a nice Barnes and Noble bookstore (now a Sports Basement) with helpful staff and some other convenient shops, but the parking is horrible especially on the weekends. I've also been to the Camera Cinemas in the past along with Trader Joe's, Marshall's and Bank of America (only because it's a convenient location when in the Campbell area). Only downside after all the recent renovating of the PruneYard is that the speed bumps are too high and long, which can be a problem if you have a low car even if you are extremely careful. read more

If I could give zero, I would!! My husband and I went to a movie today and came out to our car having a parking ticket!!! First of all, when did this craziness happen?? Three hour limit parking? By a movie theater?? Forget ever going to a movie and dinner. Also we were not there over 3 hours. We got there at 1:05 (missing the previews for our 1:00 movie) and came out directly from our 2 hr 45 min movie at 3:50, close to 3 hours, but definitely NOT 3 hours. And the company they have hired does not take calls at that time, nor do they take disputes over the internet. This is completely unacceptable. There are so many places to go to dinner and a movie where we don't have to worry about this, we will 100% not be back. Bummer because they have just done all that remodeling. read more

I used to spend about $15k a year here between putting up clients and seminars in the hotel , bringing the family and my staff to dinner and outings etc. but no more. The mall is not family friendly on the weekend anymore and has virtually no security. Last company dinner resulted in 3 car break ins in our party and over a dozen that night. Also they drove out a local tradition El Burro. Moved my business to Santa Row, clients are much happier , cost is about the same. Boycott this poorly run mall... The Pruneyards are issuing illegal parking tickets to consumers who are there longer then 3 hours. Which means you cannot attend a two hour plus movie and have dinner or drinks afterwards.
