My son and I were excited to shop and ended up spending over $500 on merchandise, but the customer service completely overshadowed the visit. We selected the last pair of display sunglasses after a sales associate told us they would be discounted. When we got to the register, that changed, and the manager Michelle was called over. Instead of professionally resolving the issue, she was rude to her staff, dismissive toward us, and walked away without any attempt to help. The issue was never the small amount of money involved. It was the attitude, lack of professionalism, and the poor example set in front of customers and employees. If you are going to charge Disney-level prices for merchandise, then you need to provide Disney-level customer service. Customers supporting the Padres should be treated with respect. Great team, but this store experience left a bad impression.

Location - It is absolutely perfect for me to have what I've heard is the country's best hat store only 15 minutes from home. I often arrive with questions only and they are always welcoming and helpful. Negatives The traffic is awful because of construction work going on along 4th Avenue. Parking anywhere nearby on the street is nearly impossible, but there is a small lot at the rear of the building in the alley between 4th and 5th, and Robinson and University that I've never seen more than half-filled and is free for customers.

I asked whether there were any other holes like it on the hat, and she acknowledged there were not. Because the item was a final sale, I asked whether they would consider a discount due to the defect. The assistant manager declined. I then asked to speak with the store manager and was told the manager was not there. When I asked who could make that decision, the assistant manager said she would need to contact the executive manager but did not offer to do so until I specifically asked her to make the call. Instead, she took the hat from me and said she would return it to the vendor. I explained that I wanted to buy the hat and was simply requesting a reasonable discount because it had a visible defect. At that point, she said, "It can't hurt to ask the manager," took my phone number, and said someone would get back to me. I'm waiting to see whether management follows up and will update this review accordingly.

He tried on a brand and fell in love; didn't even blink at the price tag, which was over $50. He wore it every day for the rest of our trip! I'd say the hats lean heavier toward men's styles than women. I didn't see anything I'd purchase personally, but they do have a good selection overall.
