But upon completion back in September, Dan stated he would seal at no cost "a month after" - that didn't happen. His commit to doing so is the only reason we didn't do it. As a result, it got beat up with the constant weather events and will need to be resurfaced. But second: we contracted with him to do a gutter replacement well in advance of the forth coming rain. It took almost 4 months before he showed. He offered a discount off of the price; then when he finally did show, he only removed some of the existing gutter and left without installing any new. He even left his ladder behind for some reason. Multiple emails for followup status have gone unanswered. It's the lack of communication and unfinished task (which can cause roof damage) that forces star drop. Previously he had indicated that they moved "far up north" - so it's possible he needed to change his service area but hasn't. That's on the business though; if you accept a job and money for the job, you complete the job as agreed. Which might mean something as simple as booking a hotel nearby for a week until the job is done or something.

They installed a really nice expansion joint to protect my house foundation which was really important to me They even protected my house from concrete splatters by covering it with protective plastic. My house needed the utility chimney replace. I got quotes from Owens and another repair service…read more Owens knew exactly what was wrong (person who had built the chimney didn't line it) and also quoted on doing the roof flashing. With the other contractor I was going to have to call a roofer out once the new chimney was built and they had no idea why the damage had occurred. My property lined was 1 foot from the chimney and the neighbors have a fence on the property line. Plus there were power lines above. They carefully removed everything and never stepped a foot or messed the neighbors property. The old studs around the chimney had rotted out and also had to be replace, I was given a fair price for the additional work. Owens did a fantastic job. The workers were polite and respectful. Previously I did not have a driveway - just two gravel tracks. Manuel and his crew were done within DAYS, were super organized (the rest of my yard was literally untouched), and it looks amazing. My garage is set wayyyy back detached from my house, so it is a very long driveway - it's been over a year, and we love it. Several neighbors have asked for his info, even leaving notes in my mailbox, and everyone agrees that I brought up the whole block's value. This is a long-term investment that has already started to pay off. I'll also add that my village, in spite of my permit application being sent in in November, did not tell me until two months later in January that they were going to tear up my street, the gutters, and that everyone's apron (including my brand new beautiful apron) would be destroyed, to be fixed at my own expense. I asked if he could come the following Monday and he said no. Just Fridays. Business must be great to give a customer 2 weeks to go with a competitor. Thats what we did. New gutters were expertly installed that Thursday by a different company for a reasonable price. You snooze you lose.
