Marcus signing during our 06/2015 wedding ceremony in Sonoma.
SD T.

We worked with Marcus for our June 14, 2015 wedding and we were totally blown away with how wonderful he was - he exceeded our expectations in absolutely every way possible. From the very beginning he made the process of planning the music for our day so easy. He was easy to communicate with, responsive and extremely professional. Despite the very complicated layout of our venue, Marcus made every detail work seamlessly. He took the lead and made everything happen without me needing to lift a finger or voice a single question or concern. There wasn't a single hiccup (or if there was, I never knew about it). We coordinated the music details with him over the course of many months from a distance of 3000 miles away, but he made every step of it so simple. He played live music and sang during our ceremony and cocktail hour, we received so much praise from our guests about how amazing his performances were. They truly were. His voice is incredible ... I found myself at moments during the cocktail hour just sitting and enjoying his music - getting lost in it. Just phenomenal. He also DJ'ed and played/sang at our reception - it was a blast. He kept the crowd dancing and on their feet but was unobtrusive. He worked so hard throughout the day to keep things moving - I can't believe he does all he does on his own. Of all of our wedding vendors (which we all loved) he is the one I feel I can speak the highest of. Words could hardly express our gratitude to him - there is no doubt our day was more amazing simply because of him being there and his amazing talent. He is genuinely a great person, and a terrific asset to any wedding. I can't say enough wonderful things about him!!!

Marcus and his One Man Band set up at Dana Powers House during cocktail hour

Marcus is AWESOME!!! He is very professional, keeps you updated, and quickly responds to emails. In addition, his music and singing are one of a kind! He was the DJ at our wedding and everyone could not stop talking about him! Besides us (the bride and groom), Marcus was a huge hit! Everyone loved his music and one man band set-up with live music during cocktail hour and dinner. I would recommend him to everyone I know looking to for a DJ for any event, not just a wedding. Thank you Marcus for being so amazingly talented and making Ashlee and my wedding very special!

Marcus DJ set at our rehearsal dinner in Berkeley.

I worked with Marcus for our rehearsal dinner in Berkeley and he is the best! He did live music during appetizers and dinner and then a DJ set for dancing and everyone loved him! Marcus is super responsive, friendly and easy to work with! All my guests were so delightfully surprised when the singing set turned into a DJ set and everyone had the best time! Marcus has a huge list of songs to work with and is super accommodating for his Dj set list. I highly recommend hiring him for any event, big or small!

Fabulous cabaret-type show with performer Arianna. She's a true (veri) Italian from Milan who sang, danced and explained Italian culture as part of the entertainment. She has an amazing voice! She could have been a finalist at the San Remo Music Festival - the most famous singing festival in Italy. She fessed up saying she had been an Italian Mouseketeer! The venue has a bar/lounge to enjoy cocktails then a few steps down further is the theater. You need to be mobile since there are a lot of steps. Seating is first come-first serve. I have to admit that seating is quite tight. You are shoulder to shoulder with your neighbors. Get cozy folks. They typically have magic shows here! If you want to see a historic night club, this would be the venue to come to and enjoy a show. Italiani Veri show was a real treat! Highly recommend it!

All in all, a fabulous night's entertainment & as Ryan, who was glowing, said: "I"m exhausted!" Olivero have a brilliant show - sure to sell out - so buy up all these goldstar seats if you can find any.. this is truly a charm to sit above the amazing wiz of a CLUE GAME Board designed by co director Olivero . his vision of hosting the game watcher above the set is epic .. as if we are part of a Harry Potter broom fight ,, we are instead a sit a top of a game of CLUE. The adapted script moves fast and is very fun mixing in many of the key lines from the film and more. A great cast of SF locals better players all move at the speed of this game plan - The Butler brilliantly played by Brian Martin - holds the game board together with the most script tied to his role. Sarah Savage, Linnea George-Kupferand, Justin Liszanke keep the game rolling with some very funny comic timing linked to the many roles that Adam Simpson is cast as his every role true to the game and killings. J. Conrad Frank the queen on he board spins his skirt as the dice is tossed and is hilarious as the bodies fly. Besides the dead dummies as they pile up, the true star of this play is the set. The audience is lifted above the game board to see the whole 90 min event unfold - its a great night of Black box theatre in SF - not to be missed and is most likely sold out ,, I hope you get to see it. I did two separate purchases with blind seating, we added a fourth person later, it was not possible to select seating purchasing blind. We were completely ok sitting separately. Day of when ticket email came and seats were viewable all seating had been placed together which was REALLLLLLLY appreciated and not expected!! The theater is old, and stunning all the details in the architecture. Due to its age the seating is not elevated which is NO current fault. However it did cause all spectators to move their heads around to see the production. The row above us was empty we ended up climbing up a row in order to see. When I book again I won't book blindly and will select my seats. The production was cast WELL!!!! Chemistry isn't always evident among theater cast, it was present here.. Very present!!! Choreo was on point, vocals were Spectacular, energy was high, not one person in the production skipped a beat!!! We all really thought Hairspray was PHENOMENAL!! Will I return: ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! Great customer service, easy purchasing, small details like grouping tickets purchased separately, PHENOMENAL SHOW......: I'll be back sooner than later!!!!! I was there for "Dracula, A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really" and had a wonderful time. The sound system was pretty good; I heard most of everything that was said on stage, but whatever I missed can be blamed on my hearing, not their sound system! Seats were relatively comfortable and the legroom was at par with other theaters. The bathrooms, which were not separated for men and women, were clean with seat covers and plenty of toilet paper. It was a bit strange seeing men walk out of the stalls in the bathroom, but it didn't bother me. I would really prefer that the seat is returned to a downward position, though, and happy the floor was dry!

Possible Side Effects: * Hooting, hollering, and cheering at the onstage performance; * Riotous guffaws; * Both hands peeking out through shielded eyeballs during disturbing balloon-dental floss act; and * Amused laughter 24 hours post-show when recalling the tongue act. In a perfect mash-up of event and venue, Twisted Cabaret is currently being staged at Chinatown's long-shuttered, seedily hip, one-time airer of un-subtitled Bruce Lee films, the Great Star Theatre. Best ticket deals are through Goldstar.com where, for $16 apiece (including Goldstar fees), a laissez faire seating policy allows one to "sit anywhere except the first 4 rows". Watch the show and breathe a sigh of relief; seating within the first four rows might land you onstage, an unwitting participant in some humbling (and hysterical) part of the stage show. Alcoholic drinks are available for purchase in the theatre as is popcorn and cotton candy with a glow-stick center. The show is adult oriented but there's nothing there that wouldn't slay a teen or make you too uncomfortable if you were were sitting beside your own teenage offspring. Laughter is indeed the best medicine and laugh you will. The alcohol greases the wheels, so to speak. As a friend put it "I'm not sure I would've liked it as well without having drank first". So party on. Still not convinced? There's a tongue act. I rest my case.

Their exclusivity eventually attracted the Rich which the Artists needed to fund their ideas and experiences. Their quote about weaving spiders is from Shakespeare, their owl statue is the Owl of Bohemia and not some satanic god. You can easily find accounts of the Bohemian Grove from "inside-scoops" from service people who have worked there, you can look through the pictures here and read the reviews to find out more about the club. Located on Post street, its a beautiful old red-brick building covered in vines, many people walk right past it because nothing about it sticks out. You cannot get in unless you are a member or a guest so it's a quick 5 minute stop for the curious. There is a mysterious black and white owl tile wall with owl statues right on the corner of Post across from this building, not sure if its also part of the Bohemian-club.
