On the parking lot level, they rent out rooms to third party businesses who will not help direct you. The street parking level (downstairs) has a bunch of small shops and the ticket area way in the back. This was all pretty unclear the day of. The hotel seems like a work in progress still, but it's nice it was saved. The Delaware Water Gap used to be a hip and happening place and most of those turn of the century hotels are gone now, so it's nice this was saved from demolition thanks to a second era as a music publishing company by Fred Waring (of blender fame) and a third era as a restoration project from a couple wanting to save its history. The tour goes through the old soda shoppe, outside for a little bit to see the general area, then into the event venue space/original lobby. It's too bad there are no restored hotel rooms to see or book at present. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and seeing the remnants of tourism a hundred years ago was cool. I hope as time goes on, more areas get restored to their more original look.

Then it was owned by Fred Waring Sr who was a vocal instructor and had a traveling jazz group called Warnings Pennsylvanians, and he also ran Shawnee Press at the castle and became one of the world's largest publishers and sellers of choral music. He had lots of famous people working with him including the writer of 'Conjunction Junction What's your Function'. The tour was just about and hour and definitely interesting! While you are there for the tour you can tour the shops, there is a nice assortment as well as an adorable Ice Cream shop. Definitely check the website before going, tours are only done on specific days. I felt the tour was a good value. There is limited off street parking, but on street parking it also available.

As a pescatarian & vegetarian there's not a lot of options and we weren't jazzed about landing here just on the menu - but the environment and the sweet staff trumped our lack of enthusiasm for the menu. The staff were all very friendly and helpful as well. From the servers, to the bartenders, to the people working in the kitchen...everyone had a smile on their face and were ready with any information you needed. The pool and fountain area was gorgeous and the area where they set up the tent for the dancing had very nice surroundings for photos. I would definitely recommend coming here and I absolutely plan to book a room sometime so I can see a bit more of the place.

Throughout the weekend, there was a lack of professionalism, communication, and urgency in addressing problems. The guest accommodations had no hot water, plumbing issues, and a toilet that would not flush. When concerns were brought to Trisha's attention, we were met with comments like, "Ugh, this is my life," rather than solutions. The bridal suite was equally disappointing. The water smelled strongly of sulfur, making the tub unusable for the bride and groom on their wedding night. The air conditioning was not working, and although Trisha was informed the night before, it was still not fixed the next morning. At 7:00 a.m. on the wedding day, I texted her to let her know it still wasn't working and received no response. This was a 90+ degree June day, and fifteen women were trying to get ready in the bridal suite without air conditioning. On the morning of her wedding, my daughter was told that dogs were not allowed in the bridal suite, despite us being told during our initial tour that dogs were welcome. After the ceremony, Trisha told the bride and groom that the groomsmen's belongings had been locked away and needed to be collected, pulling them away from their guests. She also told them it was "the worst wedding she had ever hosted," which is something no couple should ever hear on their wedding day. There was also an incident in which Trisha physically grabbed our wedding coordinator's arm, dug her nails into her, and pulled her toward the parking lot. To make matters worse, I discovered an unauthorized $264.84 room charge on my credit card. Most disappointing of all was the complete lack of accountability afterward. We spoke directly with one of the owners during the wedding weekend and were promised a follow-up call the next day. Despite multiple calls and messages from both my husband and me, we never received a response. My family has been in the hospitality industry for many years. We understand that problems can happen. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this venue.

Instead, we were left chasing updates, waiting for responses, and feeling completely ignored when important questions arose. The most disappointing part was how little flexibility or understanding was shown when issues came up. Rather than working with us to find solutions, we felt like we were treated as nothing more than a signed contract and a deposited check. A wedding venue should make couples feel excited, supported, and confident in their decision. Unfortunately, our experience did the exact opposite. The stress, frustration, and lack of communication ultimately overshadowed everything else. Before signing anything or handing over a large deposit, I strongly recommend that couples ask themselves one question: if a problem comes up, will this venue actually be there to help you?
