This was a quick stop for food on the way to Atlanta - the service is excellent and food is great. We had pasta primavera, vegetable pizza, veggie sub and ravioli - everything turned out to be awesome. The pizza was perfect NY Style - it wouldn't bend when picked up. The ambiance is that of an older diner as the place is old. The prices are quite low - so we tipped nicely. We enjoyed our stop and would do stop by again if passing by as we often do towards Charlotte area. read more

A unique pizza offering, something not quite NY style because it's thicker and more cheese covered than your normal NY style but otherwise is pretty similar. It's good pizza and the rest of the menu is also generally good. They have gluten free options which is a bonus. The place always seems busy so be aware they do takeout and it's just as good. read more

Our neighbors mentioned they like this place. We stopped by and will absolutely be back! The portions are large. The food is delicious! I got the Caprianos Stromboli small and thought it was the large. My husband got the meatball sub. We each took half our food home! Was a quick stop before heading to our hotel. We got in before they closed and the customer service was great with being able to take our order. My wife is a huge fan of white pizza. She ordered the white pizza with broccoli. It was not my first choice as I could only think of the movie, Inside Out, when they said, you cannot put broccoli on pizza. We both had a good laugh. My daughter had a ziti pauce with tomato sauce. It was quite tasty. Overall, great stop. Great location. Wish we could have gone back for a second visit. read more

We ordered the Ham Stromboli and Lasagne Classico. The food was good for Americanized-Italian food. Plenty of melted cheese and cooked correctly. It was one of the better Strombolis I've had in quite a while.The pizzas and other dishes we saw on other tables looked as if they were being enjoyed. The menu does have small writing and with the low lights, it was unreadable to someone like me with much-less-than-good eyesight. However, I am use to bringing reading glasses in with me, I just want to make others aware. The staff we interacted with were nice enough, but the overall tone of the employees left something to be desired. There were plenty of them working, but the overall atmosphere was a bit "ho-hum". Decor seemed typical of a shopping center restaurant, but the tablecloths that had cuts and tears in them should be changed out. read more

We were in town for the October tour in downtown Salisbury and after of day of being out in the chilly air we were looking for a nice meal and on a Sunday which isn't always easy. I had eaten here for lunch several years ago but never for dinner. Two cocktails and two dinners for under $40! Excellent service and delicious food! The chicken Florentine is the special on Friday but please Beware when calling in a daily special order. The order was called in at 3:55pm and picked up at 4:30pm. I was taking food to a friend that had just gotten out of the hospital and family members. Because the order was placed 5 minutes before 4:00, I was charged the regular price of $16.99 times 4 and not the special price of $12.99. One would think with a family owned restaurant and a loyal customer, they would have said to call back in 5 minutes to get the special price! Lesson learned that greed is all around. read more

We hadn't been to Capriano's in quite some time so my oldest daughter and I visited for a late lunch. There are maybe 4 other people there at 3:30 in the afternoon which I imagine is normal for such an odd hour. Our service was friendly, efficient and attentive to filling our drinks when needed. We ordered the 16" Buffalo Wing pizza for $18.95. Pretty pricey for a pizza I agree. We ordered it with mild sauce since we weren't sure about the heat intensity. The pizza arrived in a timely manner, piping hot as you would expect with a side of bleu cheese for dipping. The pizza is topped with two different cheeses as well as celery, carrots and chicken. I know the veggies sound strange on here but they they are properly cut and mesh well with the pizza. The quality of the pizza is good. My one criticism of the pizza would be the amount of oil/grease that is visible. Mind you, it tastes fine but the visible oil might turn some people off. Over all, 4 stars. Good food and good service. The price of that pizza is steep, but as a special treat every once in a while it might be worth the price. The other food being served to other patrons looked really good. We will have to return and try something new. See you there! read more

FOOD POISONING!!! This was my first time eating here and it surely will be my LAST. My husband and i ordered a pepperoni pizza, steak and cheese Stromboli, and a slice of Tiramisu ToGo. We went home and the food, which mind you was SOO TASTY. (We thought we found a hunny hole because yes the food was very good) but when we went to bed all was well. Sadly by morning my husband and I simultaneously became EXTREMELY sick. We was trying our best to take care of our 10 month old while staying in the bathroom vomiting and on the potty. This was the only thing we had ate on Sunday on sept. 7th. So we know what restaurant/food caused the issue. (Tiramisu) was probably the culprit because it was the only thing not cooked? But maybe someone didn't wash their hands after handling the food.... Bottom line because it was our first time eating here it will sadly also be our last because i WILL NOT EVER take a chance to get sick like that again if i can prevent it! First time here, got a pizza for take-out while in the area for business. Good pizza, from a casual family-run Italian place. Although I was only in Caprianos for a few minutes while picking up my pizza, I liked the casual and cozy family atmosphere. They have a few tables and several booths, and the Italian decor is not over the top. This is definitely the kind of place I'd enjoy relaxing for some food and wine. They have a lot of standard Italian dishes, but there was only one of me so I opted for a small thin-crust pizza. They also have thick crust. Word of warning, their thin-crust pizza is really what I'd call regular crust. I was thinking thin-crust would be NY-style, where one person can easily eat a whole small pie. But Caprianos thin-crust was far more substantial and filling, with a good quantity of cheese. I could only eat three slices comfortably, and forced myself to eat a fourth slice because throwing away half a pizza just felt wasteful. They are located in a good sized shopping center, so parking should not be an issue. And you can order and pay for take-out online through their website, which redirects you to the ChowNow site. We shop at Food Lion and Lowes so we have stopped in here a few times to get a bite to eat. Staff is always friendly and prompt to seat you. Servers are attentive and refill your glass throughout your meal. Food consistently tastes good and is always hot. We like to get the Calzones. You can pick off the list or add extra items for additional price. They have a wide menu for everyone to find what they have a taste for. Shout out to Caprianos. I ordered food from there to be delivered to my mother. The food delivery service never delivered the food to us. I called Caprianos and they were so responsive. They called the delivery service for us, coached me through how to get a refund from the delivery service, and took the time to call and check in with me days later to make sure the issue had been resolved. As has become common for my wife and I, we went to Caprianos for dinner. Normally we would have nothing but good service and good food. Well this evening the service was just okay. The food was good but when it came time to settle our bill my wife noticed that while she had ordered the senior portion chicken parmigiana ( even pointed to it to show the waitress the item and price), we were charged for the standard dish, about $2.00 higher than the Senior portion. When she pointed this out to the cashier and the waitress who took our order, the waitress nonchalantly passed it off. This young lady needs an attitude adjustment. read more

What a wonderful diamond in the rough! We happened by this place on accident and I'm so very glad that our previous plans didn't work out. Everything we ordered was delicious! The pizza crust is divine. The fettuccini noodles are the best I ever had. The Alfredo sauce was delicious. The spaghetti sauce is wonderful. The steak Stromboli was incredible. I'm not even a fan of pepperoni and it was good too! The service matched the quality of the food and the atmosphere was nice! And to top it off, the price was great! Two adult meals and three kids meals were less than we would have paid for two adult meals at a well known Italian chain restaurant! We have been eating here on a fairly regular basis for about 3 years and everything we have had has been simply delicious. EVERYTHING. I have been a customer for 5+ years and an online customer since Covid began. Place the order online, call when you get there, they promptly bring it out and go home and enjoy a DELICIOUS meal. However, today's experience was VERY unusual and BAD as I attempted to pick up my order. After calling the store a pleasant young lady answered the phone. I told her my name and I was here to pick up my online order and I was waiting outside. She said wait a minute. After she came back on the line she said we do not do that any more. I asked since when, she said they stopped a year ago. I told her I had just ordered last month and it was brought out. Then I asked her the procedure to CANCEL an online order. Just a minute again. Then a GRUFF SPEAKING MAN came on the line and repeated the same thing, we quit that a year ago. Are you outside he asked? Yes right outside in my vehicle. A short time passed and a man with a black Capriano's logo shirt, black hat, long black beard, about 5'8" tall came out carrying a bag. In a slinging motion he passed the order to me stating hastily we can not cancel an online order and it was already prepared. I inquired when they stopped bringing orders out. He said over a year ago. I showed him my order log on the app for one order per month for the last several months. No response. He turned and walked back toward the building and I asked if he was the manager. No response. Just barely as I could hear him he said we are short staffed. I told him that I WOULD NEVER BE BACK. This is about as BAD as I have EVER BEEN TREATED at a restaurant and the management should take action to improve this person's customer interface skills. Sorry that I will never see if that happens as I WILL NEVER BE BACK. If this whole encounter would have started out with they could not bring it out because they are short staffed, I could have taken the proper Covid precautions and went in to pick up my order. So I found myself working late on Friday night and my belly was rubbin my backbone so the usual trip to Charlotte or the Birk just wouldn't do. I needed food stat! So we stumbled accross Capriano's in town and decided to try something new. They have work to do in my opinion. I thought the food was OK. We started with the steam plate (mussels and clams) they were very good. Next was the chop salad. It was very good too. Polished all of that off with the Chicken Parm. It was ok. But what left the bad taste in my mouth was the service. I felt as though we were a bother the waitress. We had to ask for things she forgot and I thought is was weird that she kept putting the plates of food down and never said a word. Typically, one would ask "can I get you anything else" or "is everything to your liking?" Something.... she would just bring out the dish set it down and leave. I thought it was weird.
