This review is as overdue as it is genuine and heartfelt. My husband and I got married in a small ceremony at the beautiful Cordiano Winery in June 2015, and when I mentioned that I really wanted live music, Cordiano's wedding event planner, Kim, immediately recommended Francesca and Caprice Strings. I am so very, very glad we went with that suggestion. First of all, Francesca really, honestly cares about your ceremony, the music selections, and making the event as individualized and special as you want it to be. She's always equally well adept at taking all of those decisions out of your overwhelmed hands and coming up with her own program for your review if you feel lost and paralyzed by too many options. Francesca had to deal with me from both angles throughout the planning of our wedding, and she was just so lovely and genuine and caring through the whole process. First, when she initially contacted me about ideas, I was too overwhelmed to think about music and I just asked her to create a program for me. She created three different hypothetical programs: the traditional, the modern, and a combo. As the weeks went by and I began to feel like I had a better idea of what I had in mind for the ceremony, I used her programs as a springboard...and then I just completely went off the deep end with music that was perfect for our small gathering but also contained music selections that her group would have to learn from scratch. I was BLOWN away by not only her willingness to think about learning and composing a strings version of music that they had not done before, but her genuine enthusiasm in engaging in that kind of project. Not only that, she gave me the most fantastic idea: she suggested that I ask those really close to me, especially since it was going to be such a small wedding, for their favorite song or music - and when they hear it at the wedding, they will feel that much more connected to the event. It was a brilliant suggestion that showed how experienced she is at these kinds of events and how much she cares about creating a personalized experience for you. Well, that suggestion was just an absolute hit with the small wedding party and each person had a song that they heard that they felt really connected to. I could not have created a more special kind of atmosphere if I had tried. Four months later and I still have guests commenting to me about the wedding music and the music selections during the post-wedding brunch.
