This is a small liquor store that has craft beers, ciders and of course the harder liquor behind the cabinet. It is ran by two brothers who are absolutely easy to talk to and are willing to help you find something that you would like to taste. The set up from left to right is the single serving cans of ciders, seltzer's, four Loko and etc, to the packs of beers and ciders. Along the right side of the wall is all single serve pint beers. They have a variety of selection to offer and you will be sure to find something you like on the beer spectrum to the lighter beers, ipa's to stouts. Can't forget about the sparkling wine either! They have that chilled ready for you to take. On the far right end (closer to the window) you can get water, soda and other non-alcoholic beverages. In the middle of this store they have a small, but mighty wine selection along with small snacks of chips and candy. Depending on the guy you get your prices & service will be the complete opposite. The dude from Oregon is hella laid back no extra charges on anything. The short Hispanic dude on the other hand adds extra charges on everything, he cards you when he feels like it even if you've dealt with him before. They have beers you can't get anywhere else. All in all good spot just depending on who is working that day your prices can change. read more

While getting my chicharon fix next door, I had to check this place out. I was amazed how clean, yet simple this place was. No it did not have a big variety, but they had alternatives. Though I was the only one there staff was very friendly and helpful. I don't know much about tequila and wanted to kind of dip my feet in. He explained to me how a few of the bottles were, but ultimately led me to trying Casamigos. No hassle or pressure to buy any one in particular. Prices were a little higher but no more than the cost to get a better price across the bridge. Being closer to home, this is a win. read more

This little store was a great find. It is tucked in an unlikely place in a little commercial center with an extraordinary Mexican grocery (that'll be another review). One of the owners was there when I stopped in and was very helpful. I was looking for a classic English pub style cider. He told me about a couple of the brands they stocked and I made a purchase. This is a darn cute liquor store. Most liquor stores I've been in border on scary. This one is so neat and clean and after the day I had yesterday I was on a mission to make my own martinis for the first time. He showed me all the different gin and vermouth options and even had the cutest little olives stuffed with pickles. It was a great shopping experience and I highly recommend this establishment to all who imbibe. read more

Caps N Cork is the first store I've been to in Vallejo that has a good selection of Craft Beer. I spoke with the owner or manager, and he was saying that he wanted to get an even bigger selection. This store has darling tasting samples of various spirits for the holiday. I tried the whiskey tasting pack which came with some shot glasses. It was fun comparing the six different brands. Vallejo and AmCan have needed a beer, wine and spirits shop like this. All the wine and liquor brands you know but the surprise is the great selection of (craft) beers. Craft, small brewery, etcetera call it what you want but this place has got you covered. Got lucky to talk to the owner, Stephano, who is personable and knowledgeable. After noticing what I was buying he pointed me to a beer I hadn't tried. Glad I bought it, will be drinking it again. read more

This place is brand new but it's much nicer than the last store that occupied the space. Both of the guys I talked to were nice and I told them the name of a brewery that I would like to see them carry. The owner said he would check with his distributors and see if he can get me some. Vallejo needs a craft beer store with some unique selections and I'm hoping that this could be the place. Right now the have 3 different styles (IPA, Brown Ale, and Citra Pale Ale) from Cigar City Brewing which I don't ever recall seeing anywhere in Solano County. Give them some love and hopefully the selection will grow as the business matures. read more
