So this is the second time I have booked with this company. First time was on a bigger boat with an…read moreair-conditioned inside area. The boat I was on today was not air-conditioned inside, but still a decent size boat. The larger boat has places to lay down in case you're not feeling well. The smaller boat does not. In both instances there was only two people helping out when you needed assistance both times there were someone new and unexperienced. Fortunately for me, I know how to fish, add a new hook as needed, and takeoff my own fish so instead of waiting around, I often not only helped myself but helped those around me. Very discouraging since they do not have hand rags. Being this is my second time I was aware of this so I brought my own this time around. The spool on the fishing rods are awful... I'm not certain how often they change the line out or get out the bubbles in the lines. Several people around me were having issues. On both cases there was only one large catch of the day. Most of what I caught were grunts and Porgies- both which do not have size limits. I kept only the large ones. - about 1'0" The boat I was on today only offered squid and shrimp.- no fish for bait. My suggestion is to check which boat you're on and if there's air-conditioning., bring some hand towels/rags, nail clippers, and your own needle nose pliers. I almost forgot to mention that my most recent experience, one of the guys was walking around, smoking the entire time and for someone who has severe asthma and heart conditions. This was a huge problem. The rating has since come down to a three. Do I dare go on this boat again? Hummmmm I don't know....would you?

Captain Good was knowledgeable, thorough, and made sure everyone was taken care of from start to finish. He worked hard to keep us on the fish and made the trip enjoyable for everyone onboard. First Mate Cole was outstanding. He was attentive, friendly, and always there to help with bait, tackle, and landing fish. His hard work and positive attitude really made a difference. Baseball hats were priced at $8.95, which is pretty good in my opinion. Simple Clearwater Beach t-shirts were also the same price, anytime I can buy a tee for under $10 it's a decent deal. They had other seashell related souvenirs. Kids beach toys are also for sale. The snack section was small, but they do have a nice amount of drinks, which is handy for those hot beach days. Also for sale were postcards, magnets and stickers. Ice is also for sale!

Parking is convenient but limited availability during peak beach season. There are vendors that are out on the pier during certain times to sell their products. Slot of beach type items. They have a water slide and bungee jump available fir the kids and/or big kids lol. Beach is clean and plenty of restaurants to choose from along the beach should you get hungry. Restrooms could still use a facelift as well as the ice cream shop that's right on the pier.

A lot of different birds to see and it's great for a walk or bike ride. We loved walking here during the Safety Harbor BDR (race) and took our time to enjoy the views. I have visited several times and every time it is gorgeous on the way in and out. Appreciate the varied places to stop, rest and take photos too.

Absolutely loved this island!…read more I have an annual pass for state parks so I didn't have to get into honeymoon island itself. A short drive to the paying booth for taking the ferry from honeymoon to caladesi. It is $20 dollars but they do take military discount too! The two guys on the boat are very funny guys. The captain loves to tell dad jokes and the other tells you fun facts about the islands. It's a short ride to caladesi. Once we arrived there was lots to explore however my friend and I just had a beach day. There is construction going on due to the past hurricanes but there is bathrooms, a cafe, and plenty of shade and trails! I can't wait to go back and explore more. The ferry takes off from honeymoon every hour and from caladesi every half hour. Highly recommend a day trip here!! Water is so nice.

Beautiful beach that has tons of shells…read more This beach is emptier than others because you have to take a ferry to get to it and you have a four hour limit. We aren't major beach people, but I got really interested recently in finding shells. We were at Clearwater Beach and didn't see a lot of shells so I did research into where we could find an abundance of shells and this was one of the beaches that popped up. They have so many shells, but all the shells are very similar. They are the clamshell looking type. So if you're looking for a variety of shells, I would suggest going elsewhere. However, I was super excited to find all of these shells. We ended up getting buckets full of them. You pay eight dollars to get into honeymoon State Park. Then you follow the signs to the parking lot where it is $20 per adult and $12 per child, five and under are free, for the ferry ride. The ferry ride is a boat that is actually quite fun for the children. It's about 10 minutes and in the morning, you can see dolphins and the ferry will stop to look at them. They can fit about 45 to 50 people on each boat, and they do fill up. The first boat is at 10 AM and leaves every half hour after that. You can rent two beach chairs and an umbrella for $35 and they have food and drinks that you can buy on the island. Since you can't bring carts most people travel light so we didn't bring shade or seats. Being that our whole goal was to find shells we weren't sitting much anyways. It is pretty empty. This is not a packed beach at all and we were there on a Saturday in the summer so prime beach season. The sand is white and fine and the water is beautiful. If you're looking for a beach that isn't that crowded I would highly recommend coming here.
