This area is actually across the parking lot from the boat ramp, but it has its own parking meter (with plenty of parking) and ramp to get onto the sand! You'll know you're in the right area when you see the boat that has been brought ashore by the hurricanes. The actual boat ramp has plenty of parking, fish cleaning stations, areas to fish, and a public restroom! I highly suggest checking this place out because it has plenty of space and greenery to separate any other animals that may also be there! It does say on the sign that dog have to stay leashed, but we were able to let our dog run free because no one else was there for the majority of the time. We did see 3 other dogs for brief moments while we played with a ball and seashells! If you do come I highly recommend an extra long lead for you dog so you don't have to keep them closer but so they can play freely! It is also a great place to get on a paddle board or kayak as you can just walk right up to the water and it's clear enough to put your board in and stand/sit on it! Overall I believe this is a hidden gem that I'd love to keep that way, but I'd love my fellow yelpers to also have a place to go!

Bay Dr., just off Belleair Bluffs. This Pinellas County public park has 24 hour access with 108 boat trailer parking spaces, 98 car parking spaces, a fishing pier, five courtesy docks and 10 boat launches. There's also Belleair Bait & Tackle Co. for any sundries that you may need, a fishing pier, restrooms and a dog park/beach. The dog beach is along the south side of the park which is a hold over from before this park was last developed. FYI, your dog needs to be on a leash. Overall, this is a large public boat launch that's: 1) In an ideal location, 2) Clean and well kept, and 3) An awesome place just to hang out and fish or walk your pooch.

The Gulf was is so beautiful at this time of the day , the breeze felt soft against our skin, and the fine white sand stretched endlessly beneath our feet. My mother is in her 80s now, and as we walked slowly together along the shoreline, I found myself thinking quietly... how many more days... months... or years do I have left with her? Life is so precious. Time moves faster than we all realize. We have been cautiously waiting for the time to go to the beach, and Morgan Park on Belleair Beach happened to be our first family beach-Florida-experience. With that being said, there's still a lot we have to learn about Florida beaches, but this first experience was nonetheless enjoyable as we had a great time, considering all the factors. Not knowing what the beach-activity was going to be like on a Saturday in September, we left our place and arrived to Morgan Park at around 9:18am. To our fortune, the lot was more or less empty (perhaps it was because rain was in the forecast sometime beginning in the early morning). Morgan Park has its own dedicated lot, a gazebo with at least 4-picnic benches underneath, and a restroom facility with running water. Additionally, there is a rinsing station as well. In regards to the lot, you will have to pay (using the Park Mobile system). The fee is pricey (we paid around $20 for two hours), but weighing it with the amenities make it relatively agreeable. Again, we still have a lot to learn in terms of navigating Florida beaches, but hassle-free parking is one of our considerations when it comes to beach-going. There was decent overcast that morning, with storms looming and brewing in the distance. Despite this, it did not deter us from bringing our things onto the beach and settling down. It was a short walk from the parking lot onto the shore - making trips between the beach and our car relatively convenient. The sand was nice and the water was warm in September. My kids loved it - they spent time both in the water and on the sand, playing in the water and collecting shells, respectively. It is to note that there is no lifeguard on duty at this park/section of the beach, but I felt fairly safe with my kids playing in the shallow tides on that particular section of beach as I remained within more-or-less an arm's reach. Just think drive your car, park and beach right. So convenient. We have a ton of stuff to hang out by the beach. This place is way too crowded for a relaxing beach day. Big huge groups go here with RV's, pick up trucks, and tons of huge tents. It's a party spot. That could be your scene, if so props for you, and send me an invite. People also bring their kayaks and go kayak or jet ski here too. It's not relaxing. It's fast paced here. I love a chill beach with no people in hand's reach and definitely no cigarette smoke etc. So I'm done with this place. It is a $15 fee to park here. I highly doubt that's really strictly followed. We payed bc the parking attendant came by. The other thing to note is there are restrooms close by. There's also restrooms and showers available across the street at Sand Key. Enjoy your beach day however you prefer!!

Abu Seba Beach is a top secret hidden beach without any visible signage from Gulf Boulevard that…read moreI've passed a million times without knowing it was there! None of my friends have heard of Abu Seba Beach and it's a great name to drop for the local who thinks they've done it all. Imagine my surprise when I did a search for beaches on Google maps and found this gem! If you want to impress a beach bum that's been to every beach in the Tampa Bay area, ask them if they've been to Clearwater Point Beach or Abu Seba Beach! Abu Seba Beach is located on Sand Key, across the street from Sand Key Park on the Intercoastal waterway next to the Clearwater Community Sailing Center and the Marriott Suites on Sand Key, which is South of Clearwater Beach. If you're on Gulf Boulevard, look for the Clearwater Community Sailing Center and turn in there. Keep going and you'll hit Abu Seba Beach! Officially, the sign says Clearwater Beach but the whole island of Sand Key is part of the city of Clearwater. The beach extends all the way to the Clearwater Pass Bridge which connects Sand Key Island to Clearwater Beach Island. Where the beach ends by the Clearwater Pass Bridge, there's lots of rocks and it looks really pretty! I'm not sure who named Abu Seba Beach but it's on Google maps, Yelp, Trip Advisor and Facebook so that's good enough for me. "Abu Seba" means "father of a drunkard" in Arabic according to Google so that seems like a suitable name for a party beach. Cars can pull directly on the beach and park without walking 20 yards to get to the beach. Aside from being able to drop the name of this secret beach that you can impress your friends with and having a cool spot to take pictures of your car on the beach on the east coast, the big draw back to this beach is that it's on the Intercoastal and the water is not as blue or clear as on Sand Key Beach across the street. The 2nd draw back to this beach is that parking is $15 for the whole day while it is 1/3rd the price at $5 for the whole day across the street with bluer waters and showers at Sand Key Park and completely free to park at Bay Park on Sand Key. The third draw back to this beach is that there are no showers. A pet peave of mine is driving w sandy feet. If you are really acrobatic or flexible or tall, you can actually wash your feet off in the beach's bathroom sink if you can get your feet to reach. A 4th drawback is no big waves. Not everyone is into big waves but I think they're fun and so do kids! No launching of motorized watercrafts are allowed at this beach and no dogs are allowed at this beach. I imagine this sort of beach is what those beach Jeeps with no doors are made for. If you like hanging in the trunk of your SUV or truck, this beach may be the perfect beach for you!

I was excited to take my visiting nephews out for a memorable Florida fishing experience, and that is exactly what we got! Within the first fifteen minutes, we were already catching fish. Captain Zachary was incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and didn't hesitate to accommodate any special requests we had. The boat was clean, with plenty of room for everyone.There was a cooler with ice, cold water and space for our items. One of the best parts of the experience was once the trip was over, he offered to clean and fillet the fish we caught. We knew there were a couple of local spots that would cook the fish but had no idea where to start, so he recommend a great restaurant and even how to order it! It was fantastic.
