Plan about an 45 minute to an hour drive if you are coming from there if you are hitting up the Clearwater area. The check in process was easy and we got our picture taken, which is available for a small charge if you want the purchase it after the tour through the Tropics website. There is a bar, bathroom, and plenty of seating on the boat during the tour. It would have been nice if it was a little cooler, but we can't help what the summer brings with the heat. There was a breeze off and on, which helped a lot. The captain and the staff members were great. The captain gave a informative speech while we were going to the halfway point about the Clearwater Bay and the dolphins. We saw lots of dolphins come up around the boat and there is plenty of picture taking while you are on the boat. I recommend checking it out while you're in the area to amp up the boat game!

I was very pleased with how well Captain Randy communicated and provided additional insight. Upon closer to the time for our day I had a follow up conversation with Cassie who provided even more information that brought comfort not only to me but my guests as well. They provided a cooler with ice and water as well as numerous floats and shelling bags. The whole experience was relaxing and refreshing. Our captain for the day was Jordan and she was Spectacular with keeping us on time and showing us around. We did a 4 hour boat tour but were able to have time on the slide and visit two islands. Well it turns out it's much more economical to be a member so we splurged on the 4-person membership for around $240. The staff is all super nice. It was a weekday so rather than paying $14 for parking (members only pay $7 with validation) we found free street parking. My 4 year old loved the touching tank upon entry and we learned about how lobsters shed their shells. It's a mixture of old and new structures so it can get confusing to navigate but we figured it out for the most part. Another favorite was the stingray area as well because you can get wet. I personally couldn't locate the otters but I will make it my mission next time. Lots of scheduled presentations! I think we will find plenty of reasons to come back. I noticed they also have a food court. Would love to see some sort of splash pad addition like at the one in Tampa. There is a cute waterfront playground just a stone's throw away!

We loved having the boat to ourselves. It was a beautiful day and we saw a ton of dolphins jumping around. All drinks were complementary. Larry and Taylor were awesome. Loved the stories. Will definitely be back in the winter for another trip.
