The Captains Platter is 10/10. The staff seem to do a good job. I did not know until recently that you can get Cheesecake Factory cheesecake here - they have regular and red velvet to choose from. I have not been inside in a long time but it appeared to be the same from the outside. Looked clean from the drive through. The seafood here is consistently good. read more

Went to Captain D'S again today . Food was good as usual . The place is honestly the cleanest one I have ever been to in my experience traveling to different cities when I was working . The seating and tables are in good shape too. Usually there is music playing in the background softly . The staff always Greets me with a Friendly smile and welcoming engagement . Not a good value in terms of price and quality of the food. Very greasy. Mostly batter compared to the fish, and not a typical coating. Fries were not good in any way. Not fresh. First time patron and the employees were less than helpful. Not very engaged in customer service. For the order I placed, I paid way too much due to the waste due to misinformation from employees about the menu portions and quantity. Not worth it. Cannot recommend. read more

People in here are complaining about how bad service is here. The lady taking orders is nice, but the kitchen only cooks one order at a time. They don't start the next order until the send one out. Food comes out extremely slow. You can eat at Cracker Barrel next door faster. I have never been in a Captain D's this slow. Beginning to feel like they send someone to the river to catch a fish every time someone orders. One table finishes eating before the next food comes out. read more

Great place to stop if you're coming down the interstate, especially when you don't want standard fast food. Captain D's provides a variety of seafood options, mostly fried, but tasty. Their sauce bar is awesome, go for the D sauce that's a remoulade blend. The portions are great and you'll leave full after your meal. I have to point out that I went there at 9:40pm right before they closed and the customer service was on point. There was a lady there (wish I had gotten her name) who I guess is the manager who made sure we got what we wanted. The place looked clean. No complaints from me and I left happy! read more

On 07/11/15 my husband and I visited the Captain D's restaurant (205915) located in 1710 E 16th Ave Cordele, GA 31015. As soon as we entered the restaurant we noticed that the counter top surface (where orders were taken and food was provided) was filthy and human hairs were present. We proceeded to enter the dining area and choose a booth near the bathroom, however, there was a reeking plumbing and sewage smell coming from one of the bathrooms. The women's bathroom was out of service. We had to move up to another booth. We ended up in a booth that was in the vicinity of a "Caution Wet Floor Sign". The AC vent above us was moldy and leaking water droplets on the floor. The dining area floor was not reasonably clean neither. The dining area smelled mildewy and seemed poorly sanitized. It was not a pleasant experience to have eaten at this particular Captain D's. I choose to drink water from the soda fountain dispenser. It did not taste right. I looked at it and found that particles were floating in my small cup. I tossed the water away and poured myself a new cup of water. The water still tasted musty and fusty. I am not sure if the water in the water tank has not been maintained or stored safely. The overall physical facility is deteriorated and reasonable standards of sanitation are not being followed at this restaurant. I tried to look for a person in charge of this restaurant. Nevertheless, I could not find any "adult looking" employee present. They seem to have employed high school-aged workers. I am not sure how this establishment was granted a food service permit by the Dept. of Public Health. It's a dump!. read more

I love Captain D's and have been a patron for years in Cordele but I am a fan no more. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. According to the receipt it took 22 minutes to get our food. I also made the mistake of asking one of the women about my order and was promptly scolded. She told me my order would be " ready when it was ready". We ate and left vowing never to come back. read more
