Coming in hot off the highway, I've been on the road since 6am and really needed a break. Crispy edged pancakes were calling my name and Kristin L helped give me some time to unwind and figure out what I was doing. Spoiler alert is I still didn't know after looking for a while, I started ordering twice and realized what I was picking wasn't what I wanted. I asked for a few items and she helped me pick what special to go with to get everything in. Super helpful staff and the food and atmosphere are all picture perfect when it comes to CB standard. Thanks to amazing staff & kitchen, 30 out of 10 I'll be back again!

I was driving through Georgia around lunchtime and decided to stop here for a bite to eat. I'm very glad I did. I was quickly seated, and my waitress came over to take my order. They serve either breakfast or lunch around midday. The lunch menu has sandwiches, salads and entrees. I opted for the meatloaf entree. It comes with either two or three sides, as well as biscuits or cornbread. The meatloaf, hashbrown casserole, green beans, and biscuits all tasted good. Service was quick and friendly.

Cracker Barrel is one of my go-to places for sure. On the way back from Atlanta, decided to stop by for a good "stick to your stomach" breakfast! :o) We were seated immediately; nice hostess; pleasant waitress. I love that there is a variety of meats to choose from and that they also include turkey sausage on the menu. In any case, I ordered the grilled catfish, grits, and scrambled egg whites. Others at the table ordered various entrees including bacon, cheese grits, hashbrowns, fried eggs, toast, pancakes and biscuits (never go wrong with having the biscuits). My fish was not as tasty as I would have liked, but it was ok. The grits are always spot on (not too salty, not too bland). Note, I had to have a talk with myself before I went in so as to spend money on the meal only! Such a temptation to purchase other items in the store! LOL!

Came here from another state to celebrate a kids birthday. Staff were slow and inattentive. Management was non existent.

This might be the nicest restaurant staff I've ever seen. Food was quick and staff was so helpful.

Food took an hour to come out and a lot of it was missing when it did come out. Took another fifteen minutes for the other items.

The foundation is still there with the rooms and decor but with lots of tables set up, similar to hosting a gathering at home. Not only that, everyone here was really friendly! We really felt welcomed, and though the second time, service wasn't as outstanding, it was still good. I think they really nailed down the vibe of southern hospitality. For drinks, they have seasonal cocktails, which I think is fun, but I'm not around at a time where I would be able to chill and drink. I end up with a go-to sweet tea. Strong and sweet, that it kept me up, but not the strongest nor sweetest I've had. There's also complimentary bread that's mini muffin shaped and dense like a biscuit. It's buttery and salty, but I like it! Before coming, I saw so many things about the sampler, so I definitely wanted to get it and try out. Love the fried green tomatoes with the honey mustard. It didn't feel oily, and it held up pretty well when cut and dipped into sauce. The pimento cheese here is probably the best I've ever had, but I will admit that I have not had many (I tend to not like it). In fact, both these items stay on my mind enough that I do think about coming here more often than I thought I would. And this is just for the apps. The rest of the entrees are pretty standard. Some better than others, but that's due to preference. I haven't gone through the whole menu, but I do prefer their chicken to some of the other menu items. For their sides, I haven't seen or heard of some of them. I asked about them, and they were described p well, enough for me to not want to try congealed salad. I'm not a big fan of jello type things, but I did try the pear salad. Not for me. Absolutely not for me. I did really enjoy the collard green soup and sweet potato souffle though! They were great, esp the souffle. It was my first time having nuts in them, and I loved it so much. Everything else was alright, like I'm sure you've had or can make better mac. Overall, I'm glad to know this place because it's a good rec for the area if you're in the mood for Southern food. It's not a bad pick for vegetarians either, though they would only have appetizers and sides to pick from, but I liked them more than the entrees. There's a parking lot, and it's in a good location to see the rest of downtown Perry too.

There was already a crowd waiting out front, which is always the best sign of a great local restaurant! It is a cafeteria-style setup with an amazing Sunday lineup. They had both fried and baked chicken, fried pork chops, turnips, rice, black-eyed peas, mac & cheese, fried green tomatoes, steamed okra, and dressing. I had the fried chicken along with the turnip greens, black-eyed peas, and fried green tomatoes. Every single bite was fresh and delicious. The greens and black-eyed peas completely stole the show--easily some of the best I've ever tasted. The friendly staff keeps the line moving smoothly. From the moment we walked in, it felt like visiting your favorite aunt's house on a Sunday after church. The food was hot and fresh, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was well-seasoned, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The dressing was a tad dry but still flavorful. The collard greens may have been cooked with pork, which I don't eat, so I didn't have them--but I did taste them. They were finely cut, well-seasoned, and definitely not from a can. As I was leaving, I was asked about my experience, and I later realized I was speaking with Ms. Gladys herself. She was sitting in the lobby, observing and ensuring that everyone had a great dining experience. I highly recommend this place for both the food and the hospitality. This feels like "down home"
