Captain D's Please! Murphy, NC is my quick get away go to. There is not an over-abundance of dining venues in Murphy, NC. I have been to almost every restaurant. Sometimes you just want a decent grab and go fast food option and I'm a pescatarian . One day I chose Captain D's in Murphy on US-46. A GREAT DECISION ! It wasn't my first time trying them but on this occasion they took me back to old school Captain D's. I had the lobster rolls, Seafood Trio, Giant Fish Sandwich and I rolled the dice on some of their fried oysters. I was thoroughly impressed. The lobster roll was what you would expect, the fish was fried to perfection, fries were on point, coleslaw was par, and the oysters were delicious and fried just right which is why there is no picture. Delicious!! I used the drive thru. I received excellent customer service. The order taker and the guy handing food out were both awesome. I was even asked / reminded about sauces. The sweet tea was tasty and they have fresh lemons for it. All the food, fish, fries, green beans and hush puppies were hot and tasty. Will return. read more

I just experienced my first visit and went through the drive thru and was very pleased. I ordered hush puppies and jalapeños poppers and were some of the best I have had in ANY restaurant both higher end and fish shop. At a fraction of the cost. Rude customer service. I ordered 2 sour cream and was given one. I asked for the 2nd one and the girl threw it at me. Manager apologized. I then asked if I was charged correctly because it came to $20 for 2 pieces of grilled fish and a shrimp skewer meal. The cashier was very snotty because I was confused Apparently I ordered it wrong. I ate my my meal and left. Food was good I work in customer service and would never treat my customers like this. read more

Hands down when in doubt head to a place that doesn't disappoint. They were busy when I was in line to order. Just wish they had an option to use the app to order. But who knows they may have it going in the future. Even tho I didn't check the order when I left and later noticed I received the wrong order, they made it right on my next trip and I appreciate that. Rude staff. Every single time i've been here. The staff is always rude. Like beyond rude. I've been to plenty other locations and never had this problem. Save yourself the hassle and don't come to this one. The only nice employee i've encountered here is the one man who works here. I think he may be a manager tho. Late lunch today. I have visited lot's of Captain D's but this one is the best. The manager went out of his way to ensure customers got the most bang for their buck. The rest of the staff were also welcoming and friendly. Food tasted better than usual and the restaurant was spic and span! read more
