The place was about half-full with customers. Service seemed a little hurried. If the place had been full, I think service would have been very slow. The food was ordinary Calabash-style fried seafood. I had the fried flounder and shrimp combo. Serving sizes seemed a little small to me. The meal was served on a luncheon sized plate. There was a small piece of flounder, a barely adequate serving of fried shrimp, white cole slaw in a small shallow bowl, and a few French fries lay across the seafood. The French fry serving was so small, it was more like a garnish than a side item. A basket of hush puppies arrived after I placed my order. The food was not bad, but, in small town Calabash, famous for its many seafood restaurants, you cannot be ordinary. I would not go back to this restaurant. There is better value and variety at the nearby Beck's, Ella's, and Seafood Hut restaurants.

I picked up some shrimp that was fresh caught, cleaned ready to go. All I had to do was take it home and cook it, and it was easy. It was delicious and I appreciated the ease of of this. They sell all types of fish every day and this is your one stop if you want fresh fish. I will be back to try other fish and get more shrimp. Super easy to find.

Kicked off the meal with some grouper bites. Wasn't sure what to expect from them, but pleasantly surprised. They were lightly battered. The grouper was light and flaky and really delicious. They give you a sauce called "Yum Yum" so dipping them in the sauce was a nice touch. Kicked off the meal with a nice fresh side salad with raspberry vinaigrette. Nicely done. Went with the blackened salmon dinner on rice. The server was terrific and very attentive and the meal came out quick and hot. The blackened salmon wasn't overly blackened. The fish was not fishy tasting. The rice and the steamed veggies were both terrific. Slide a cocktail in your hand and just kick back and relax. This is an excellent place.

My grandfather is on hospice and is close to the ends while my mom and grandma have been taking care of him. On Mother's Day, we visited to help and had a pretty rough day. Before we left, we wanted to give my mom and grandma a nice meal for Mother's Day. We called in two ribeyes with potatoes, salad and bread. I did ask if they could take extra care of the order and explained our situation so they knew how important this meal was. Not only was the absolute perfection, they made sure we had extra bread and butter, not just a small piece for them to split. The attention to detail to make sure this important meal was able to transport and still be perfect was something that many restaurants don't do without a request, but you can tell that they give this level of detailed attention to every order. Inside the restaurant, we watched as they took the same level of care with every dish. This level of customer service alone is enough to warrant return business. The quality of the food is an added bonus at that point. 10/10 go here if you are in the area!

I had ordered a Prosecco earlier and went quite well with the crab Rangoon then I decided to order the crab and shrimp hibachi. it tasted so fresh. It also came with rice and a small salad.
