We won a gift certificate to this place and drove out there looking for long sparklers for our wedding. After looking online, and seeing how expensive long sparklers were I was prepared to blow my whole gift card on them. When we arrived we were greeted by the associate working there, and his dog, both of whom couldn't have been friendlier. When I told him what we were looking for, he showed us the same long sparklers I had seen online, only they were a fraction of the price. We were able to get a whole case of them for half the price I would have paid online. Then since we saved so much on those, we had money left to spend on other things. They have a wide selection of all the good fireworks. Mortars, roman candles, fountains, rockets, you name it they have it. And it is MUCH cheaper than buying from the roadside stands that pop up around July 4th. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for good quality, affordable fireworks. And since it is a little drive from St Louis, we made a trip out of it because it is on the way to Fast Eddie's so we not only got fireworks, we were able to grab lunch out there too! read more

The (after the 4th of July) selection was great BUT, the prices were terribly high. No two-for-one deals or other specials typically offered at other firework stores. I won't return. I didn't buy anything due to pricing levels. At least Phantom Fireworks offers either 50% off or better deals, sometimes buy 2 get two free on high priced Fireworks. read more

Not going to say it's bad but they charged me a dollar and said I'll give you these for free it wasn't and the prices are a little high.

The staff and selection of fireworks is awesome, along with pumpkin season to follow the forth during the fall.

Growing up in the area I have seen the place a lot, I just returned to the area not too long ago and today I decided to give it a try. Upon entering with my brother we began to get followed almost immediately, I would have to say most likely by a supervisor since the other 2 employees were a lot younger. The supervisor following us was noticeably following us he was not at all as stealthy as he thought. Let me paint you guys a picture its in the mid 90's, its humid, the store is located on a gravel road, me and my brother are both wearing clothes that are fitted to our body meaning even if we were thieves if we stole anything it would be noticeable. I'm also wearing sandals, what type of thief is going to wear sandals and try to run on a gravel road? We are also in our 30's. What type of individual in their 30's would even consider trying to steal fireworks? Can you imagine the headline? 30 year old men get arrested today for stealing $1 fireworks. i say $1 fireworks because that would be the only type of fireworks that could even possibly fit into my shorts or his pants. lol. Upon entering their establishment they make it known that you are being recorded, by a sign that says, smile your on camera. We get followed through the store by a person I can only assume is a supervisor until my brother asked him a question about the firework he just picked up, the guy gets a stunned look on his face as if we haven't noticed him following us fixing nothing behind us the whole time. After answering his question he then leaves and the other two employees began following us but not as much as the previous individual. Shortly after this and viewing the merchandise my brother realizes he forgot his wallet so we go back and get it and I decided it would be a good idea to bring my wife so I don't spend too much or go overboard. We arrive later at the store I pick up a shopping basket they have out and proceed to pick out the items I want. After a few minutes the younger 2 employees begin to follow us again, again we are the only people in the store. They think they are being sneaky just like their supervisor by acting like they are straightening up but really fixing nothing. About a quarter of the way through I start to get aggravated by their behavior and about half way through I decided I'm not going to purchase a single thing. We literally got followed right up to the register. I told my wife and brother we would just go to a different facility and purchase the rest of the fireworks. While my wife purchased a couple of things totaling to approximately $15, my brother spent a lot more and would have purchased even more if not for their behavior and I simply put my basket on their counter and told them I didn't want any of that. They missed out easily on $200plus easily thanks to their actions today. If they are truly concerned about getting items stolen they can do a couple things to limit the possibility such as use their camera's or close some of the opened doors, put mirrors up like convenience stores, make it brighter. Those are just a couple things that would curve theft and wouldn't make your consumer feel unwelcomed compared to the approach that was presented to my brother, my wife and I. I noticed that they have a diverse selection of fireworks which is wonderful because not only do I purchase fireworks for the 4th but also for my children's birthday. So, obviously I spend a lot of money on fireworks and I refuse to spend money in an establishment that does not respect nor value the people that comes into the facility. I will not ever go back and I will make sure all the other parents whose children go to my kids school know, what type of establishment this is and also since I'm from the area I will tell anyone who even mentions the 4th or fireworks the type of place this is and WILL recommend a different place. read more
