There is no reasonable request Ashley cannot accomodate....there are breakfast choices, all which are absolutely delicious, just like mom used to make. Rooms very comfortable as well as the beds. The snack and coffee bar is always stocked and water in the refrigerator is plenty. There is a sitting room with a TV which is very comfortable and plenty of board games. The only draw back was the lack of a dresser in which to empty my suitcase as I was staying 4 nights....but that's the ONLY negative for me. Ashley is always willing to get the firepit going outside! The hosts, Greg and Lilly were gracious and kind and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They were super conscious of my husband's allergies, to the point of getting locally sourced duck eggs to prepare his breakfast, as he's allergic to chicken eggs. Speaking of which - the breakfasts were amazing each day! Another couple there mentioned that they had never stayed in a B&B before and were commenting on how great it was - but this B&B is head and shoulders above any we've ever stayed at - I hope they don't expect this level of wonderfulness at every place they stay in the future, because the Beekman House is unique. After much research I found Benn Conger Inn online and booked it! When we got there, Shelly, the inn keeper, made us feel right at home! Immediately showing us around and offered great dinner ideas in Homer! Our room was in the annex called The Dempsey house! Our room was the Smith Corona Room! It was wonderful and full of history including a vintage smith corona type writer! Our room had a beautiful private deck overlooking the 18 acres of property! We loved this the next morning drinking coffee and just relaxing! Shelly's advice for dinner was spot on and went to Dasher's Corner Pub! Cocktails delish as well as the food! Dasher's is right down the street from the Art Center, so it was a quick walk down the street for our concert! The concert was great, totally recommend seeing a concert there! The bed was comfy and perfect for our overnight! The breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit salad, fresh blueberry muffins, coffee and juice available right away! The breakfast room appears to be an add on room that had windows all around allowing you to view the property! On the tables were menu items that were available to order! I had the cinnamon French toast ! I must say it was the best I've had in a long time, I ate the whole thing! My husband had an omelet and that too was absolutely scrumptious! The only problem I had is I wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful, clean, charming and very inviting place! I strongly recommend!

We met Kim & Bud, the new owners, this past weekend when we returned for one of our wine club pickups. They are a lovely couple, and this grande dame of a house is in great hands. It's not a ship but it's the kind of place you are welcome to come and go from. Or stay on "deck" that day. So comfy it's hard to mention all of them. Cozy corners in and out. Even a basket of blankets at the front door if you are chilled. The lights on all the exterior lines of this beautiful Victorian lead you up the hill to home after a dinner at a local restaurant. And your take-away (or home-prepared food) is welcome in the guest frig. Guests congregate on the porches, in the gazebo, in the spacious game room, library, jigsaw puzzle room, and on the lawns all day. So much comfy seating at all times. (I think there are over 100 chairs of all kinds in this inn.) Four more amenities that also stand out are the different coffees and snacks you are welcome to all day and night; the USB connections in all guest rooms; the puzzles, games and books to convince you to relax; and the automatic lights throughout the common rooms that stay on until 1 am. The location is perfect, with private off-street parking, and a short walk to the shops and restaurants on the Main Street. The Trimmer House is a stunning Victorian home with beautiful sitting rooms, a large, covered front porch, and cozy bedrooms. The en suite with the clawfoot tub was a selling point for me. Bessie's Room was spectacular. It was spacious, comfortable, and the shutters made for the perfect conditions for sleeping. I've never stayed in a B&B, and the Trimmer House has set the bar incredibly high. I can't rave enough about the breakfast - the food was amazing! Quiche, tarts, fresh food, bottomless coffee. We saw 6-7 vineyards each day and did the east side of the lake one day and the west the other! Dario, our driver, was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable about the wine and the region! You won't be dissapointed if you book your tours with him! Food- the breakfast at this B&B was out of this world - all made to order unique menu choices!! Andrew is a trained chef and his breakfasts are off the chart. Guests are given a full menu to order off, and on our visit the breakfast included French-press expresso, baked goods, fresh juices, a fruit course, and an entree. Andrew is a bit bewildered why nobody orders his huevos rancheros (I wish I had), so give it a try when you are there. You can have it straight up or in an omelet. Andrew and Rossana offer an excellent tapas dinner on Saturday night, which is not only a great value but extraordinary in its depth and complexity. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely.
