Our dinner was fantastic!!!! Where can I start? ... first of all, Jesus our waiter was very amicable and attentive to our needs and wants. We where seated promptly. We didn't like the table where we originally assigned to and surprisedly there wasn't any fuzz in changing our table. Our waiter greeted us right away and let us know the carpaccio was one house fav. We took both fish and beef just to compare difference. The carpaccio's had the tastiest juiciest taste yummy!!! We order the fish carpaccio witch to our surprises it wasn't fishy and the beef carpaccio was fresh (bright red) perfect cut. As for the main course we had tomahawk, Sur n Turf, and skirt steak. The steak was delicious!! Thought Tomahawk was a bit expensive for the amount of actual meat. Yet, we understand sometimes it part of having the delicious bone a lot of fatty will be there. Regardless of that the meat was so soft it melted in ur mouth like butter. Will definitely go again. The service was quite fast considering so many families where present. This restaurant is a total family place. Not very much fancy everyone is dress beach attire.

Don't miss the gators : )

I wanted to give this place 3 stars because my ribeye was average... at best. But everything else was really good! The asparagus was cooked perfectly. My sangria was delicious! And if you've never tried it before, I would recommend the mango cheesecake - yum!! And whatever you order... don't miss the gators at night : )

Everything we tried was delicious. The mushroom arancini, the mussels, the seafood soup, the tiramisu. Staff at the front desk is nice but the service lacks a bit and the waiters are rude if you don't tip them. Also, for Royal Uno all inclusive guests about half of the menu is at an extra cost...

Food was great best clam chowder I have had. And the service was excellent. Recommend this place to anybody that's coming to Cancun.

We sat outside and German was our server. He was outstanding and really made the whole experience for us. We started with calamari which were pretty standard, mussels were amazing and shrimp cocktail which was also good. We finished with the coffee flambé where German put on a fire show. My daughter also loved the crocodile Pedro who hung out right off the doc where we were sitting. This was part of our AI package at our resort but felt far superior to All-Inclusive resort food. Would recommend for date night or with family.

Seafood surprise - split with my 11 year old son - we destroyed it - yum

Food was good, but there seems to be a bit of "hey this is a fancy, difficult restaurant to get into, but sure we'll take you right away if you don't have a reservation. Oh, and what hotel are you staying at?" I have eaten here twice on different years and I would again. The service is excellent, the seafood is fresh, and the other dishes are solid. However my son and I split the Seafood Surprise, and while we enjoyed nearly every bite, the real surprise was when the check came. Everyone else's dishes were in the $12-15 range. Our special?? $72!! Come on, where did you fly this stuff in from Canada?! The ocean is 10 feet away! It felt like a rip off - and while I take blame for not asking how much the special was, it feels like a reach to charge that amount of money for a meal made for two. I would return again - they have some creative drinks and the view of the water is very special - just leave surprise for someone else.

Amazing food, great ambiance. Service was excellent. Went there late night around 9:30-10 pm they are about to close but they took us. We were starving and good thing their food was amazing.

We made reservations didn't need them the place was empty. We wanted a nice relaxing sit down dinner. Instead we were distracted by screaming kids a few tables down from us and the next door restaurant was so loud and distracting. We had a hard time concentrating and having a conversation. The next door restaurant doesn't have a wall but a curtain so you can hear everything and they use speakers and a microphone so you hear the loud music and the dj as if you were there also people kept coming in and out. For the amount of money you pay for dinner we were disappointed. We wanted a quiet intimate dinner instead left with a headache. Not sure if it is loud every day or we came at the wrong time. Our food and drinks were just ok nothing to brag about.

Sangria, Manhattan Up, and an Old Fashioned.

No trip to Cancun is complete without a dinner well-spent at Captain's Cove! I've been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember and it is still just as magical 20+ years later. Pancho (the crocodile) is obviously a highlight of the evening, but the service and personalization of the experience are what makes it memorable. I've never had a bad meal here and the coconut ice cream is so creamy and fresh. After dinner feel free to wander over to "Pancho y Willie's" for a little karaoke. * Pro tip: If you don't like oily vegetables, order them "al vapor" aka steamed. *Pro tip: Make reservations if you want a table directly on the lagoon, those are the tables that fill up first.

Come for the scenery, not for the food. And pray that no one orders the 30 minute birthday mariachi band while you're there (why someone would subject a loved one to 30 min of this is beyond me, yet I witnessed it). Maybe I'm being too harsh, but it was like the outback steakhouse of seafood. Everything on the menu was stuffed with something else. A veritable seafood turducken if you will. But that sunset on the patio... this is probably the best place to view a Cancun sunset with drink in hand. It's also set up for big groups, kids and of course, mariachi lovers.

Been here multiple times and its a sure hit or miss. The last two have been pretty decent. Located on the south part of the Cancun strip facing the lagoon, La cueva as they call it, has been a staple for years. They also acquired the restaurant next door and now its even bigger. The food is not bad at all, its just missing that umphhh or wow factor. Ordered the risotto and it was bland no salt or any other flavor besides the cheese. Also ordered the shrimp trio and even when the shrimps are "UGE" aka Huge only the coconut flavored one was actually great. Over all it was just the same food dressed differently. The view is just amazing during sunset and service impecable. Maybe i was just picky that day but overall does not disappoint.

But be careful of the crocodilo... of course, it's by the lagoon. The place itself is clean.. and the lagoon is clear water too. Now the food... it's as simple as, I can dine in this place everyday! It's not that expensive but the presentation, the service and the taste is like a 5-star fine dining restaurant. Even the drinks! I ordered their clam chowder (you can see in the attached video on how they served it), lobster tail wrapped with bacon, my hubby ordered salad (which was also excellent presentation), and steak. Let's not forget the chips that is on the house with 3 different taste buds sauces... tamarind (sweet), avocado (salty) and chipotle (spicy). Love love love! I should say, your visit in Cancun is not complete without visiting this excellent restaurant!

Many of the dishes have strange ingredients that the regular gringo hasn't heard of, which makes this even more exotic! I consider myself a mexican food expert, to some degree, and they're serving dishes that are so inventive, so wild, so fresh, so delicious! The dining area is split between a covered outside area, and seating on the grass overlooking the lagoon. Be careful, there's alligators in there! The service was fantastic- the waiter was patient, spoke English, and made excellent recommendations. I got fish with peppers, octopus ceviche, and some mezcal, followed by a honey and anise Mayan drink. All of which were delicious! My dining companion had a strange pepper with some fish- also nom! Coming here was like a history cuisine lesson, mixed with delicious food, wonderful scenery and a pleasant meal! My favorite part of this place is the artwork when you come in. Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. We came to Harry's a couple years back when we visited Cancun and I am celiac and I had a lovely dinner with my partner. On this visit, we were seated at a beautiful table and we ordered drinks. Our waiter, a bald headed young man 30s, refused to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. I am celiac not vegan. I was told there was nothing I could eat except steak and he proceeded to show us the entire steak selection. Truthfully I was feeling slightly unwell from not eating the entire day. I felt like fish, he said I can give you dry fish no sauce on top. He suggested maybe we just do appetizers. We had a 8 pm dinner reservation, what the hell would I want to order appetizers and call it day? This waiter was chit chatting with his maitre'd and other wait staff and I felt terribly uncomfortable that i was told I couldn't eat anything from the men, we we all know was ridiculous and not true. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. I made a reservation for Porfirios next door bc I could see they had some gluten free options. Harry's used to be accommodating but no longer. We will not come to Harry's again for food. Not only this, the waiter was trying to once again embarrass us by advising us that we could walk to Porfirios, next door to the restaurant from the back patio. We got up and began walking towards the patio and suddenly I realized he was totally making a fool of us, why would we go from the back if we have to check in with the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant? We walked straight out of Harry's from front door. Never again. So disrespectful and such a rude experience. Not only this, Harry's canceled/ removed our open table reservation (even though we fulfilled it and paid for our drinks and still tipped generously), so I cannot even leave a review and send a private message to the restaurant. Pathetic customer service.

I dream of Marrow everyday. This is a 10/10 Yellow fin Tosatadas - Superb!!! One of the best tostadas I have ever had. The mash is superb, they used margarine instead of butter and I absolutely love the contrast from the traditional mash. 9.8/10 Mexican Rice - Its pretty good. It does have a nice seafoodish finish. The pepper was actually spicy. Nice and pleasant rice dish. 8/10 Charred Avocado Salad - Grilled avocado is a bit of a wash. It did make it look good on the plate. The dressing is a little weak. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly. The service was flashy but slow, and we followed the waiter's recommendations for both an appetizer and our entrees. He told my girlfriend her entrée didn't come with a side, so we ordered one. After several cocktails, her entrée arrived--but mine never did. I sat there watching her eat while I waited. When I asked the waiter where my meal was, he simply said, "it is not working." I then asked a manager for help, but he disappeared and never returned. The bill came with no apology, no explanation, no discount, and nothing complimentary. It was an awkward and uncomfortable way to end what was supposed to be a special evening. Mistakes happen, but what really bothered me was that there was no effort to acknowledge the problem or make it right. I do not recommend. Me quedé sentado viéndola comer mientras yo esperaba.
