The Island Store is located on Captiva Island and your spot for groceries. They are a small store…read moreand do not have everything but they have enough! If you are unfamiliar with the island, there are very few grocery stores you can shop at, so if you are actually on Captiva, this is your spot. There are more on Sanibel but that is a further drive. They also sell some merchandise, body items such as sunscreen and hats and then beer, wine, and liquor. We always stop here a few times while staying on the island. There are also fruits and vegetables as well as other cold items, pre made salads, dry stock items, such as breads, sauces, chips, etc. Something we always get is one of their sandwiches. They do make sandwiches to order as well using Boar Head items. For a small store, their wine and beer sections are very large. They even have a walk-in cooler so you can grab drinks cold already. We were able to find almost everything we were looking for or missed bringing with us. They welcomed us and said hello. The two guys we encountered were both very friendly and nice. We will continue to come here. It is convenient for where my family stays and we always run out of something such as bread or forget something. It is a perfect place to grab those last-minute items. I have even purchased some items here for gifts. If you are in the area I would definitely stop here for any last-minute items, you need.

Anyone staying at the hotels across the street has immediate access to all of the snacks, treats and drinks 7 Eleven offers. That's huge because there isn't a whole hell of alot near the hotels. We ended up coming back every single day of our trip, not just because of how kind everyone was, but because the food and coffee were that good! Their breakfast sandwiches on biscuits and croissants are made fresh each morning and quickly became a favorite part of our mornings. They also have a coffee shop inside, where they make amazing coffee and matcha. Patrick made my iced coffee so perfectly that I requested he make it for me every time after that! Tod, who works in the sandwich area, was also so sweet and recommended some great seasonings for me to bring home. And of course, Meade, Richard's wife, was just as warm and kind. By the end of our trip, it genuinely felt like we were saying goodbye to people we had known for much longer than a few days. There is something so special about finding a place while traveling where you feel truly welcomed and remembered. Everyone here made us feel like more than just customers, and their kindness added such a memorable part to our time on Sanibel Island. If you're visiting, do yourself a favor and stop by. Come for the breakfast, coffee, and local finds, but stay for the warm, genuine people who make this place so special. Meanwhile, it's a fully stocked grocery store with produce and wines. Plus they have a deli for sandwiches, etc; a coffee shop; and even an ice cream cart inside. The store is clean and modern. And you'll probably find any food you need here. We got some locally made jam to take home. And enjoyed a scoop of their black cherry ice cream at a high top table outside.
