The office was empty, no one picked up the phone or answered on a walkie: The jet skis are lined up all pretty at the beach, but the trick is they don't really want you to rent them cuz they chillaxing. "You gotta go the office to book." You walk to the office. A resort staffer says, "Oh, you might try to look for them on the beach." You'll do that walk back and forth twice maybe three times if you're a sucker, they don't respect your time and you'll have more fun collecting sea shells quietly with your thoughts. read more

Today we rented waverunners from Captiva Water Sports at Tween-Waters Resort. Since we were staying at the resort we had a small discount and 1 hour rentals were $110 each. We rented from the office near the resort marina and we boarded the waverunners on the beach right across the street from the resort. The staff in the office were very nice. We were given a safety orientation and issued life jackets in the beach by Jared. He also gave us the parameters of how far away from shore and how far along the shore we could ride. He was personable and friendly. He and Jess helped us board the waverunners and sent us on our way. Jess was there in the water welcoming us back after our ride and tying up the waverunners for us. read more

My husband and I hired Jared to take us on a guided jet ski tour of the islands. He did a phenomenal job showing us the sights, while giving us a rich historical overview of the area, and ensuring we could be close to the dolphins. I highly recommend this tour. read more

We had reserved a pontoon rental a couple of weeks ago to take our granddaughter to Cabbage Key. Earlier this week Hurricane Idalia passed by causing Captiva Watersports to evacuate all their boats and equipment. Rob and his crew went over the top to get a boat back in place for us to use. We had the pleasure of parasailing with Rob and Tyler. As a large group of 12, with ages ranging from 10 to 50, we had some flyers that were seasoned and some first timers. Rob and Tyler made the experience so fun and enjoyable. They are both very funny and made us all feel very safe. We were able to connect our phones to their speaker system to play our music if choice, which was quite a variety considering the age ranges. They were patient with our newbies and made kept our trio groups as close to what we wanted as they could (keeping within weight limitations). As a avid water lover, Miamian, and seasoned boater, I was very comfortable with their knowledge of the waterway in which we flew. They were safe on the water and explained safety measures in detail prior to departure. We take a group trip to Captiva and Sanibel every year and we will definitely be back to fly with them again. Awesome experience going parasailing with Captiva Watersports! Rob & Joe were fun, professional, and efficient while taking us parasailing. They put everyone at ease before putting us up in the air. It's a fantastic way to get a bird's eye view of the island! We saw a few dolphins, quite a few turtles, and some schools of fish while in the air. When they go to dip your feet towards the end, it is a fun & very smooth & controlled move, so don't be nervous! I went up with my 14 year old cousin & 11 year old cousin and they loved it. We had a fantastic experience at this establishment They take their time to explain all of the rules, have someone go into the water with you, and are not too far away when you're jet skiing or doing an activity. The owner was extremely courteous and kind to us, and their workers were really nice and patient. Being our first time Jet-skiing they put us at ease. We rented the 23FT boat with 6 adults. The service guys were good overall. We rented from 9AM - 3PM. We were forced to come in due to inclement weather 2 hours early and they never offered a 2 hour credit/refund. I realize that they aren't obligated, but that would've been the "right" thing to do for great customer service. The boat was old and the gauges intermittently worked. The motor wasn't powerful enough for 6 adults. We stay at Tween Waters in the 3BR cabin yearly. We spend $3k on the cabin and expect that renting from here, they would've or should've done the right thing with the credit that we didn't receive. We will be patronizing Jensen's from here on out. read more

We placed a reservation early in the morning and were waiting all day excited to go jet skiing. We drive across the Sanibel bridge (pay for that) and get to Captiva Watersports to see that they've been closed all day long. We were charged for the reservation and had no warning that the place was closed. Worst rental place ever. read more

Wonderful experience! Highly recommend! Amy did a wonderful job preparing us for our trip out. She pointed out good areas for fishing and for sight seeing. Made sure to give us important navigating and safety tips. Location was wonderful by Cayo Costa Island! Had a few good catches up along the dock areas; one huge sea trout we were able to enjoy for dinner, saw a family of dolphins that graced us with their presence up close on multiple occasions, saw manatees and countless birds. Also able to anchor a few feet out to enjoy the island and swim. The 19' console was in very good condition and our family of 2 adults, 2 older kids fit comfortably.
