Roast beef sandwiches on rolls, lettuce, tomato, cheese. Roast beef was so full of veins of fat and gristle running through the middle and at the ends made it almost impossible to chew. Lettuce was big leaves, not shredded. Inedible and a waste of $29, with 2 small potato and macaroni salad cups. They were warm, not cold as a mayo product should be. I love this place!!! They have the best sandwiches around! I ordered a BLT with cheddar cheese and 2 eggs over easy and a chicken salad sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cheddar cheese. The portions are filling and everything was prepared fresh. The only thing that sucks is that they close at 7pm. I wish they were open 24/7! lol! Just experienced the Worst Customer Service from several employees and possibly the owner. Loud yelling and foul language....We pre ordered and paid in advance for our order. When we arrived the food was ready and in a bag on the counter. My wife was told she had to wait on the fifteen deep line of customers that still needed to place orders. They were obviously under staffed and not handling the morning rush effectively. The deli counter people were rude and totally unprofessional.. I was cursed at by a young staff person who could have easily handed us the bag of food.. I inquired why they didn't inform us when we paid on the phone that we would need to wait another half hour to pick up a order ...I was yelled at and treated horribly..Needless to say they won't be getting our business anymore... Ordered egg sandwich and decaf coffee online with Uber. When I went to pickup egg sandwich was ready but coffee was not. The counter person went to pour a cup of regular coffee. I informed him that the order was for decaf he said I would need to wait for a new pot to be brewed. Over the years I have had Captree Delis food at other events. It was always tasty and fresh. So when I invited a few friends over to my block party I decided I'll place a small catering order. I ordered a small hero, came with salads and I ordered pickles. Everything was fresh and delicious as I had hoped and expected. Further more the whole process was smooth and simple. The food was presented well and made it easy to serve straight from their containers. They provided serving utensils which was a pleasant surprise. I was very pleased. Staff: Woman at counter was not very eager to greet and is definitely comfortable to scream in front of customers, from the front of the house to the back of the house even though they can't hear each other. Food: I was hoping to grab a some good chicken salad or tuna but all their salads fall on to the Basic Bland choices. I chose a turkey wrap which wasn't bad BUT ... HUGE RED FLAG FOR ME - the woman did not wear gloves, she placed the freshly sliced meat onto the counter - not wax paper or even the wrap!?? Food is always good but they all wear gloves and take peoples credit cards and money then proceed to put the lid on your coffee or touch your food WITHOUT Changing those contaminated gloves. I know it's not a NYS law to change gloves, but glove wearing is dirty when they are not changed with each new customer order. Gloves are possibly protecting them but definitely not the customer. I have lived within walking distance of this deli and every weekend my father or I would grab sandwiches but every morning at least one is disappointed! My wife has been sick for 3 days after eating a foul wrap from this place. She saved half for me and after looking really close I noticed the lettuce went bad. Seeing how lettuce is a key ingredient to things at a deli I can't see how they would be making the best food over there. Plus you think someone would see that while making a sandwich, I mean that's their job and all they do they can't even do that right. We needed milk too for the house so my wife picked some up from here and I just opened it up to find it already gone bad. What is wrong with this place?! I have been going to this deli for years. It used to be the best around. Lately it hasn't been that great. Today is the last time i will be going there. I ordered a very simple sandwich- roast beef rare on white, mayo, salt and pepper. The guy wrote it down. The roast beef had no flavor, there was mayo on only one slice of bread- who does that?- and no salt or pepper. Ordered from Captree Deli for a fishing trip out of Captree this past weekend, delivery driver showed up 40 minutes late causing the boat to leave late. Which then rippled causing everything to run late. In the end their mistake cost me an additional $50 with the bus rental... Wouldn't recommend them if you need a timely deliver to the boat. read more

The service is slow and terrible. The staff is rude and does not wear glove. I will be going to Brightwaters Deli in the future.
