Eli was recommended to me by my friend who had used him for her wedding. It was really important to me to find a photographer who made my fiance (now husband!) comfortable. We both knew we wanted shots that really showed our personality, and weren't cheesy. About ten minutes after meeting with Eli, I knew he was our guy. When I talked about ideas for where we would do our engagement shots, I explained to him we weren't really the country, pick-up trucks, posing in the field type people. We're more like, have a beer at an old-school bar type couple, he loved the idea of shooting in the city at the Buena Vista (where we had irish coffees right before the hubbie proposed). The actual engagement shoot was great - Eli instantly bonded with my fiance and made him feel very comfortable (which is saying a lot, because he can't stand posing for pics). Needless to say, the pictures came out fantastic...we look like ourselves, just having a fun time hanging out on a date together. Eli was very helpful during the wedding planning process. He let me know how long it would take to shoot the bridal party pics/family pics/etc. I should also mention that I am a little OCD when it comes to being organized. I had a shot list with all the pictures important to me, and Eli captured EVERY single one. He even drove from Pleasanton over to Tiburon (where our wedding was) twice to scout out the best locations for pictures. He came to my rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, for approximately 5 hours. The next day, he was there for all the "getting ready" shots at 7:30am...and stayed until about 10pm that night. He made all the guys laugh, and the girls feel gorgeous. At the ceremony and reception, he was very unobtrusive, and I didn't even notice my picture being taken. Oh, and did I mention that I got my wedding pictures back THREE days after the wedding?! One of my favorite moments of my honeymoon was checking out all of our pictures with the hubbie on Eli's website while drinking margaritas on our balcony. :) Thank you Eli for an amazing job well done!

Eli's photographs of our engagement and wedding are works of art. Truly. We did an engagement photo shoot with Eli a few months before our wedding which allowed us to feel more comfortable with him by the time our wedding occurred. We had a few locations that were meaningful to us and Eli suggested a few once he got to know us. There was one photo from the place he chose that is a masterpiece, with the sun setting under an old oak tree. He makes the engagement photos into a book for guests to sign at the wedding which is a wonderful idea. Eli took over 1500 photos for our wedding, photo-journaling us from morning to night. So many photographers charge by the hour, but Eli has such a passion for what he does that he wants to be there from the beginning to the end to capture the full day, so his price includes the entire day. Eli is such a professional. He is not a large personality or obtrusive in any way, as some photographers are. Everyone commented on how friendly and accommodating he was. We had given Eli a list ahead of time of all of the photos that we wanted and he made sure we completed the list. As the night goes on, it's hard to stay focused when being pulled in so many directions, but Eli was persistent to make sure we got all of the photos we wanted, which we appreciated. Eli was very prompt with getting us our photos and provided us with a print book of all the photos for easier viewing. We will always be eternally grateful to Eli for capturing such a special day in such a beautiful way. Words cannot convey our genuine feelings of gratitude and appreciation for Eli and his work. Long overdue on a long review (our wedding was in June haha), but wanted to share about our…read moreexperience with Pure Devotion. The team, Eric and Connie, is great - they're super sweet and passionate people. They offer a broad selection of services for you to mix and match depending on your needs, so if you are an overwhelmed couple like we were, then this is perfect for you :) We used them for videography, flowers and props, lighting, and photobooth. Videography: Eric handles all the videography and photography, and he's very knowledgeable about his craft. We were a little on the fence when we first started looking for a videographer (we didn't know if we could justify spending thousands of dollars for a short video), but Eric was very no pressure and just happily showed us samples of his work. He patiently made sure he understood what we were looking for, we ended up going with the "cinematic" style 4K highlight video (~3 minutes long). On the wedding day he showed up with 3 assistants and a drone to capture all the footage. It took roughly 3 months to get the video link and he mails a USB with the remaining raw footage. He went the extra mile and helped us edit the raw footage as well so that it was watchable and not a jumble of clips. Flowers: Connie did an amazing job with the flowers. I just sent her pictures of what I wanted, we discussed which flowers were important to have, and she delivered beautiful bouquets, aisle pedestals, guest table decor, and the dining centerpieces. I actually wanted taller centerpiece vases than what she had in inventory and she went out and got some! Flowers looked fresh and great through the night. We also had her help us with draping background for our garden setting. She went out to the site to make sure the draping would work and checked in with me before making adjustments day of. She kindly stayed through the ceremony to help move the flowers to the reception area afterwards. She has a ton of props in the studio, so don't forget to ask her what you want to rent! Lighting: We rented uplights to put up around the room. They also have pin lights and other fancy lights. The uplights were technically fine but I think we had missed communication on the color, so check beforehand :( Photobooth: Unfortunately can't recommend this service. Supposed to be backdrop with props manned by an attendant that prints out the photos. Camera ended up being unattended, photos mostly blurry/out of focus. Thank you, team! Couldn't have done it without you!
