I spent a lot of time looking at various photographers websites and more importantly their portfolios. I found a lot of sites with work that was good but I was looking for that one that had that spark! I found Capture the Moment less than 24 hours before my party. When I saw the portfolio of work on his website and facebook page, I knew this was the company I wanted to photograph my party. They were quick to reply to my email and were very great at discussing pricing and understanding my needs for the event. I was really lucky that they had the night of my party available. They drove an hour and 20 minutes to my location. We had agreed that there would be coverage for four hours. My guests kept commenting all night on the amount of pictures being taken. I was pleasantly surprised to learn later that 633 beautiful pictures were taken in that four hour time. That alone was amazing! Almost all of the other photogs that I spoke with in my search prior to the party, were never going to shoot that many. When my pictures were ready, I drove out to Capture the Moment and sat with them. For my initial viewing, Behrooz had all of the pictures put into segements from the party. He had the pictures set to music and they played across a very large projection screen. The presentation was almost as impressive as the actual photos. The skills of the two photographers are far and beyond what I could have dreamed of. Their are some in there that are very artistic and unique. All of my guests are truly mesmerized by the outcome of the pictures as I was. My engagement party is one of life's moments where you want it to be beautifully captured. Behrooz Badie and his team did that and more. I now have my pictures put together in a beautiful book which they laid out and put together. My night will one day be a distant memory but thanks to him, his team and talents, I have the photos and book to awlays refer to for remembering the night. Some…read morequalities I looked for in the vendors we selected were: responsive, genuine, detailed, great quality, reasonably priced, and not trying to upsell on every service. Doug fit all of these qualities. During the wedding planning process, Doug was responsive, accommodating, helpful, detailed, and patient. I had many, many questions and Doug was so nice in answering every one of them. I asked him for samples to check the quality of the prints and he sent me digital prints and photos of the printouts (other vendors would just refer me to their webpage). OH and all this was BEFORE we booked him! Contracting and payment was simple and painless. For the day of the wedding, his photobooth and props station looked amazing, clean and pretty/organized. Everything was ready to go at the start of the reception and he even stayed late to allow some laggers (namely me and bridal party) to take some last photos! The quality of his photos were AMAZING. Sharp, clear, well-lit, good quality photo prints and digital copies. We successfully fit 12-14 people for a shot, but I'm sure you could fit more if you tried harder. Three months later, our photo strips are still in good shape and color! The day after the wedding, he sent us the digital copies of all the photos! Talk about quick! In addition, he included a video of our sparkler exit which was a pleasant surprise (we only had photos of this moment). Douglas is a great, trusting, and accommodating professional. And we did sign a contract and even paid for the services early. How would we pay for our services and have date saved if we didn't have contract or confirmed booking? Make it make sense. Mind you, we booked/had a meeting in AUGUST of 2023. And yes, a replacement photographer was offered AFTER the wedding had started and our venue was in Benicia. It would've taken them some time to get to our venue with their business being in SACRAMENTO and even IF they would have been able to arrive within 15-30 minutes, they would've missed the getting ready pictures for our bridal party and ceremony. I can't believe this business is trying to pull this stunt about 2 years after the fact to try and save face? This is absolutely disgusting behavior. Again, I would not recommend this business.
