EDIT/UPDATE: I want to start by stating I do not appreciate this company trying to change the narrative and bend the truth by stating, "There was unfortunately a discrepancy in the scheduled date, and without a signed contract in place, the booking was never formally confirmed." When we had an online meeting, confirmed the dates and even corrected the owner on the CORRECT DATE being March 11th NOT MAY, to which he told us he would fix but now we know he didn't. And we did sign a contract and even paid for the services early. How would we pay for our services and have date saved if we didn't have contract or confirmed booking? Make it make sense. Mind you, we booked/had a meeting in AUGUST of 2023. And yes, a replacement photographer was offered AFTER the wedding had started and our venue was in Benicia. It would've taken them some time to get to our venue with their business being in SACRAMENTO and even IF they would have been able to arrive within 15-30 minutes, they would've missed the getting ready pictures for our bridal party and ceremony. I can't believe this business is trying to pull this stunt about 2 years after the fact to try and save face? This is absolutely disgusting behavior. Again, I would not recommend this business. I worked with Phillipe on two separate projects - first new professional headshots for myself and then a second time shortly after that for engagement photos with my fiancé and me. We hired Philippe as our videographer our wedding in October 2024. He was recommended to us by our photographer, Mindy (Sweet Marie Photography) and immediately we were impressed by his extensive portfolio and cinematic wedding style. He was responsive, organized, and very easy to set up meetings with (Zoom). His rates fit right into our budget and we enjoyed working with his team on the wedding day. Philippe and his assistant did our engagement/proposal photos. He was nice, very communicative, and replied promptly via Yelp/Facebook. He was accommodating to my deadline and short turn-around. He met me beforehand to arrange everything and practice so we could capture the moment perfectly. Philippe is amazing! He is affordable which is a huge relief when planning a huge wedding. His respond time is great. Everytime I emailed him, he got back to me very quickly. He took his time and came to the rehearsal to take a look at the location and light. This really gave me a good impression of him and showed effort. On the wedding day he was on time and got straight to work. He has a good eye and knows what looks good. He guided us on poses and locations on what would look good in pictures. He worked well with the videographer from a different company. We went to a park in Sacramento to take more pictures with my whole family and was very patient and understanding despite my chaotic family and 110 degree weather. We hired Philippe for both photo and video for our wedding in August 2019. Philippe brought along a great team (Tai, David, and Michael); everyone was super professional and really cared about getting the best angles, lighting, and frames for us. We really appreciated how they fed off each other's ideas and kept us energized throughout the day. Philippe actually visited our ceremony area the day prior to scope out possible photo ops and gave us a very detailed questionnaire to complete that helped him get an idea of what we prioritized and wanted to make sure he captured for our special day. For our ceremony, we had an American vow exchange as well as a Chinese tea ceremony at Morris Chapel at the UOP campus in Stockton, CA; for our reception, we had a traditional Chinese banquet at Well Season Seafood Restaurant in Elk Grove, CA. Philippe and his team came early in the morning and stayed extra late through the evening and captured so many great moments. Towards the end of our reception, they even joined in with the dancing fun, and we really had a blast with them. Being an anxious bride and wanting to plan ahead shortly after booking him for the shoot I went ahead and booked him for our May 2021 wedding for photo, video, and photo booth.
