The gentlemen (and that's being extremely nice), sold us and installed a badly rebuilt transmission... Was told upon pickup to look out for any leaks that are red in color on the ground. It leaked from the time it was returned to me... our neighbor pointed the leaked fluid out to us the week after we got it home. Each time we tried to return the vehicle to have it serviced "under warranty" shortly thereafter, "conveniently" they didn't have a mechanic available to look into or fix it. Thousands of dollars of our hard earned money down the drain. You cannot convince me they didn't know they knew they were installing a piece of junk into my car. This is so hurtful to say the VERY LEAST. I'd say steer clear at all costs. We have spent so much money over the last year paying for the car to be lifted to replace leaked transmission fluid. Verdict the last 2 times we took it back to Philly for it to be looked at? "Looks like the rebuild on this one was bad and I don't have anyone to fix it... the work would have to be outsourced." If you've made it this far into the review, you value honesty, quality and your hard earned money, I wouldn't take the risk. It's not worth the heartache. 1000% DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I went to High Tech the morning after hurricane Sandy had blown through our end of Abington, PA. I didn't know I was going there that day - but they really came through for me. The morning after Sandy my portable generator wouldn't start, and our area had power loss - I needed to get it running. So I packed my family in the car and the generator, looking for someone (some kind of shop) to take a look at it. I drove around for a bit and nobody was open - Except High Tech Automotive! I pulled up and talked to Sean (the owner) and his technician about my generator, they felt they could help me. The technician (wish I could remember his name) said he was really familiar with small engines (motorcycles, atv's, etc) and that he could get it started. I left the generator with them and took my family out for a warm meal. Came back an hour later and sure enough - my generator was running the way it was supposed to - just the way it had a few months prior. Turns out the carb had some bad fuel in it, and that was the culprit. The technician was spot-on and even cleaned up the carb for me. He demonstrated that it would start right back up, so I knew it was fixed well. Here's the best part - I went into the shop's office to pay for the job and I was expecting to take a hit in the wallet - Sean was totally reasonable and just charged me for less than 1 hour of labor, I think I paid $75 or something like that - I know I left feeling like it was a great deal. Really good to know that I could find someone to fix my generator, but even better to find a shop that was Good/Fast/Honest. Thanks Sean (and your guy) for coming through when I needed you to. You kept the lights on in my house for the next week+, and my family warm. Appreciate what you did today just as much as I did that day. My generator is still running well. - I know they do alot more than small engines there - this is a Cottman Avenue area automotive shop that does it all - If you're in that area and you need your car fixed check them out.

So when I needed my Jaguar serviced I remembered that he (Tom) had had one so he was familiar with Jags I had him do my inspection and diagnose what was wrong with my Jaguar well he told me it would cost $3400 to fix and $1000 to get running I was shocked at the $3400 figure and the $1000 figure I was prepared to pay well to make a short story shorter I just paid to have my car inspected by him and went to Midas which I would have never considered before I forgot to mention that I also needed to put my tag properly on my car and asked Tom for a screwdriver and he denied me so I was quite happy when Midas did their own diagnostics and found that something just needed tightened with regards to my power steering and they only charged me $172 for a service that Tom at Reds and Son's was going to charge me $3400 for so I think that explains my rating I wish you had negative numbers because it definitely was less than a positive experience.
