So when I needed my Jaguar serviced I remembered that he (Tom) had had one so he was familiar with Jags I had him do my inspection and diagnose what was wrong with my Jaguar well he told me it would cost $3400 to fix and $1000 to get running I was shocked at the $3400 figure and the $1000 figure I was prepared to pay well to make a short story shorter I just paid to have my car inspected by him and went to Midas which I would have never considered before I forgot to mention that I also needed to put my tag properly on my car and asked Tom for a screwdriver and he denied me so I was quite happy when Midas did their own diagnostics and found that something just needed tightened with regards to my power steering and they only charged me $172 for a service that Tom at Reds and Son's was going to charge me $3400 for so I think that explains my rating I wish you had negative numbers because it definitely was less than a positive experience.

I'd read that my car's particular paint color (Mazda Soul Red Crystal Metallic) is notoriously difficult to match. As it turned out, the first time the new paint was applied, there was some flaw in the paint product itself, so John and team had to completely repeat the paint job from scratch. In the end it was obvious they had devoted a very high level of care and attention to this job! Not only did John and his team perfectly repair the dents in the door, but the paint job is immaculate and perfectly matched to the rest of the car. The car is perfect, and they even added a beautiful coat of wax. Plus, John had noticed that my battery was low and wasn't charging well, so he replaced the car battery at no extra charge. Cons: when this Location was known as "Tom's" it was like "Cargutory" the car would check in,, it was like pulling teeth to get it back, I'm starting to feel the same way, prices, Extremely Disappointed with how high estimates were to fix some oil leaks, I understand the limited space of a front wheel drive platform but,, geeez! $$$$$ after a thorough inspection where they found numerous issues (some things had to be denied due to the season A/C issue) and, approving almost 3 grand in repairs (oh, I need to mention that "any work over $1000 required a 50% deposit)--- who does work like this?? The value of the car as a Mechanic's Lein should be enough security! Then, to top everything off, after the work was almost done, they find another leak on something that I had previously paid torepair, I Don't like paying for real estate twice! That added another $500 to the already high bill. I feel the Mechanics are thorough, IT remains to be seen how good they really are, I totally understand cheap work isn't good and good work isn't cheap. But this better be great work! So, if you're going to use this shop, be aware, it's definitely on the high side for repairs, for me, I'm probably one and done. As a retiree, there's limited resources available and this shop can certainly eat at some of those assets.
