I purchased a recommended extended warranty, just a few weeks into ownership I had a blowout, when i called the warranty company they had no record of my enrollment, after being stranded and spending another day going back to rescue vehicle, I reached out to my salesperson and went over the entire scenario..........."Frank will Call you Back asap............." My temp registration and tag are now expired and I called and there seemed to be a delay on there side, waiting last minute......... My tag is expired, I have no plate and Frank still hasn't Called...... I worked for Louisiana's oldest Chevrolet dealership for over a year as a salesperson. We had title clerks......etc. I am very aware. This place cannot keep up with simple tasks associated with the car business. Don't expect any service after the sale. Stay away!! This guy is very dishonest and unprofessional!! I have a catering company and my old van stopped on me while traveling through New Orleans. After being told that my van couldn't be fixed I decided to purchase another vehicle. I purchased a van from this dealership on a Friday evening, once I got back to Alabama I noticed noticed a loud ticking sound coming from the engine. I put the vehicle in the shop to find out that van has multiple engine problems. I contacted this dealership to see about making it right and explained what was going on. The guy attitude changes totally from when purchasing. He told me that he will not do anything. That I drove the car 300 miles. He also acknowledged that he was aware of something going wrong with the engine. I plan on taking him to court but as a retired Arny guy I expected better service. Stay away from him and this dealership!! Crooks but they will have to answer to something much higher. read more

This dealer is by far the worst in the business, everything he told me about my purchase was a lie. NOT 1 single truth. the biggest being " is this a flood car" i have 3 different mechanics tell me that it is indeed a flood car. there are so many issues that would be the only explanation. All the lower control had to be replaced as well as both front baring's, CV and drive axels both sides. Right side spindle and hub. Both rear tires have slow leaks and to top it all off less than a week after i bought the car the front lug nuts were all loose and sheared off 3 of the 5 lugs. Do not opt for the worthless warranty (*****) that comes with his vehicles they are not worth the paper they are printed on. They have not honored a single claim. ***** will do the fast paper shuffle on you so you think the warranty comes with the price of the car. IT DOSE NOT!! its $2800 extra. BEWARE of this shyster. I went in specifically for a vehicle i saw on Cars.com. I didn't have a huge budget and the vehicle I came to see had some dings and rough spots. They asked if I could give them a week. Wrote up the contract, itemized the places that we looked at. They painted the roof, hood and did a lot of touch up. They do their own paint and body work. They met my budget and went the extra mile to get my business and make me feel good about my purchase. I'm so proud of my new (to me) SUV and I'm 50 years old. Bought a Toyota Pickup from them. Spoke with Frank about the truck over the phone and he told me it runs and drives great and the A/C is ice cold. I had it shipped 1200 miles to me to find out the motor is only running on 3 of the 4 cylinders and won't even idle. But wait it gets better, that Ice Cold A/C must have been blasting on a cold day because the truck didn't even have an A/C compressor! This review is a review of my situation with Car City Autoplex. It is a WARNIG to be very careful when dealing with frank who is the owf this lot. I had previously purchased a car from frank and had no problems.However in this transaction there were multiple problems. In good faith I gave frank a cashiers check for 3000.00 dollars in lieu of purchasing a car from him. Circumstances developed that prevented me from purchasing the car at this time despite being approved by my credit union. Note that there was no signed contract , no reciept for the 3000.00 check and no signed agreement at this time. Upon informing frank that I would no longer be able to purchase the vehicle frank became irate and then refused to refund my entire 3000.00 dollars. He implied that he would keep 200.00 as a restock fee and that was that. I have no paperwork indicating a restock fee in the event that the sale did not go through for any reason.IT IS THEFT what frank was doing at this point .I made the mistake of trusting this person to be an honest businessman and he has proved to bot be. By law he is required to give me a reciept upon accepting funds in lieu of a sale according to Louisiana RS 32:796 WHICH STATES, IN EVERY TRANSACTION BETWEEN A USED MOTOR VEHICLE DEALERAND A CUSTOMER IN WHICH THE CUSTOMER PROVIDES EITHER A DOWNPAYMENT OR A DEPOSIT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A USED MOTOR VEHICLE, THE USED MOTOR VEHICLE DEALER IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE EITHER ON THE BILL OF SALE, OR BY SEPERATE AGREEMENT, A STATEMENT THAT THE SALE IS CONDITIONED UPON CERTAIN IDENTIFIABLE EVENTS SUCH AS FINANCIANG OR OBTAINING STATE MANDATED COMPULSORY AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE.
