I originally found the dealership online, applied for a pre-approval loan, and after finding out I was approved I made arrangements with Ireland to come down and look at the vehicle, which was originally the 2010 Toyota Camry, but after arriving I was shown the Sonata by Doc. I test drove the vehicle, loved it, and decided to purchase it. Unfortunately, approximately three weeks later, on 05/16 the vehicle became disabled while I was driving 65 mph on the highway. Every warning light illuminated on the dashboard, and the vehicle entered severe limp mode. I was able to safely get the vehicle into a commuter bus station, where the vehicle remained for nearly a week. After having the vehicle towed to my home, diagnostic codes were pulled, and I was informed that multiple diagnostic trouble codes had been cleared 700 miles prior to when I had the codes run. The vehicle was then towed for yet a second time, this time to the nearest Hyundai dealership for diagnosis. I'm not saying that Car City possibly deleted codes, but that is why I tried multiple times to get into contact with anyone, mainly Doc so that I would know a little more about the car's previous history. The dealership initially determined that the 12-volt battery may have been the issue. Although I understood that this is a used 2019 vehicle and normal maintenance can be expected, I still paid nearly $500 to replace the battery. However, upon picking up the car from Hyundai, less than 45 minutes later, the exact same problem occurred. The vehicle again entered limp mode, every warning light illuminated, and I barely made it home safely. I returned the vehicle to Hyundai, where technicians ultimately had to contact the Hyundai Technical Line because they were unable to determine the cause on their own. I then received devastating news. I was informed that the vehicle requires replacement of the intake manifold, EGR valve, and EGR cooler, with an estimated repair cost of approximately $4,600. I have tried getting in contact with the owner/co-owner ( anyone at this point would work), emailing them 4 times telling them to please get in contact with me, over 2 months now with no response. It's pretty sad when a different dealership is telling you it's in your best interest to try to return the vehicle. I wish this experience on no one, I have been without a vehicle since 05/16 and have spent over $800 dollars now commuting to and from work. I originally wasn't going to write a review but since this dealership is blatantly ignoring me , I feel as though I have no choice. Do not deal with this dealership. THEY TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING, REFUSE TO EVEN RESPOND TO ME BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY ARE AT FAULT. I have never dealt with such a shady dealership. STAY FAR AWAKE, they delete codes and lie!! If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD!! read more

I can't give a low enough rating for my experience as it is still an ongoing nightmare. They upcharged us $7000 for 3 inspections, a 6 month warrant and delivery on a 2017 chevy silveraldo. It took a month to get the truck and it was very dirty inside and out. The trucks front brakes were béat into place and could not work so it was not inspected. I had to call for another month to get them to get me a warranty. I got an email they were purchacing a $900 warranty which they chargeded me $2000 for. A week ago I get a letter from the warranty company that it was canceled because the car lot did not pay. Now 4 months in my plates and registration is dead went through 3 sets of temps. My DMV in West Virginia says they have never been ordered. The finance company they used Westlake says they are in noncompliance with them on the title also. They now screen my number and refuse my calls. Now im left paying a loan and used the truck . I told them in the begining I am a disabled and needed the truck for appointments . Run dont walk away from this dealer. read more

I wouldn't even give this 1 star Worst place Ever!!!! DONT NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY ARE YOYO DEALERS. Read all the fine print cause they will change all ur info and then the financial company will drop u cause THEY lied! Also watch and check VIN #s they switch them up! read more

Honestly, I don't usually go out of my way to write a bad review but I feel this review is well deserved. This place is sketch as hell. My experience? Well, when I originally traded in my Elantra about two years ago and bought my new car... I would say I was thrilled. The car salesman (which i'll spare saying his name) had told me he would take care of the tags from my Elantra and properly dispose of them... that was my first time buying a car so I thought that was normal. Anyways - fast forward, I got a letter in the mail about a week ago, of a citation with tags tracing back to my old Elantra. The car salesman who told me he would properly take care of the tags for me had put them on a random pick up truck and was driving around with my old tags. The only way I found that out was because I had received the citation in the mail with a picture of the white pick up truck and my tags on the back of it. Sketchiest thing i've ever had happen to me. Moral of the story - I wouldn't shop here for a car cause you might end up in a legal situation you didn't know you'd be in. read more

Do not believe their signs for everyone financed. It's only if you can afford to jump the obstacles they give You. You can be flat out honest with them so no one's time is waisted and they lead you on. Tell ya no problem at all come, get your new car. Waist 7 hours long hours, leave empty handed and lied to read more

The worst customer service ever. Got ignored payed more attention to these two younger girls sat there for 30 to 40 mins. They were more in discussion about food. I was pre-approved for a loan. Supposed to be a busy here pay here but that's not the case. Then asked to hold my 1000.00 till tomorrow wait what don't do it read more

These people stole my down payment. Criminal operation. They sold me a truck and then told me it needed major repairs after I bought it and planned to pick it up. Long story short they kept my $2000.00 down and didn't deliver the truck. They won't return my calls. Time for a report to the police and attorney general of Virginia. read more

This place should be closed down. They are scam artists. They will sell a car that they know very well is in bad shape but is something one wouldn't see with the naked eye. Now I get to spend money on a lawyer and with great pleasure. VERY SHADY K.C. read more

Kareem was a lifesaver. I loveeee my new car. Thank you Kareem for your help and great customer service!

BEWARE. Car city needs to be investigated. They'll try to sell you a car in horrible and unsafe conditions that will get State Inspectors attention and will try to keep your check hostage if you decide to not go through with buying a dangerous vehicle. Stay away. Btw if you see a blue Infinity G37 X on their lot, check the undercarriage for excessive rust and damage. Almost scammed my mom but not today. read more

i purchased an 2015 Infiniti q40 from this dealership less than a year ago and left a 5 star review based upon request from the salesman. less than 3 months from purchasing transmission went out and not one person from this business attempted to help. got the car @101,000 miles with 50,000 mile warranty car currently @ 115,000 miles and will need a new engine and catalyst converter going bad save yourself the money, headaches, and time with dealing with the Shady Car City in Fredericksburg, Va !!! read more

Stay away from this shady and slick business, stay away from this so-called dealership. They have no ideal what they're doing, they should not be selling cars and the Va state attorney needs to investigate their vehicles. I inspected ford f-150's 2011 VIN#1FTFW1EF1BFC82712, which has a powertrain recall, that has not been done, and the 2015 VIN# 1FTFX1EG5FFC65858, has 2 safety recalls which has not been done. the 2011, is rusted on the floor board, the tow bar and the undercarriage and lower engine parts, full of rust and corrosion (signs of water), and fan-belt with loud noise. I started the 2015 and found leaking oil and water coming from under truck and saw a small hole in the exhaust system, with fumes coming into the cab;Informed DOC (Salesman) he gave me cock-eye excuse and told me some crazy way they will fix it. I asked how? he said with some type of puddy or glue (what a joke) Don't waste your time or your money on these guys! They need to take their bags of tricks and join a circus... read more

I would never recommend this scam business they take advantage of you sale you the worse cars and act like they trying to help you after you file a claim with BBB, the board and give them 1 star bad review. they write about how bad they want and trying to help but once you call them they keep giving you the run around keep telling you to try warranty (their in-house warranty) whom they know won't fix a thing! still financing a car I haven't had for 6 months I'm requesting to get out this scam deal and my full $5,000 back! read more

Had a car from them for less than a month and the transmission went out. This is the shadiest business I've ever seen.

Outrageous pricing. Called ahead with interest in a truck. Arrived at opening and was working with Jorge but as soon as someone else showed up with interest in a vehicle it was as if I wasn't even standing there. Terrible customer service. Don't waste your time. read more

Amazing service ver very outstanding Jorge the sales person was very amazing very helpful helped me throughout the process recommended him to everyone very very helpful! read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Can't remember the salesperson's name but I believe it was Jorge or George, he was Hispanic. Horrible salesperson who doesn't seem to know how to behave professionally with customers. Started off nice until we provided an offer on a vehicle and his immediate response was "why" I asked what do you mean by why? In a monotone voice he repeats the question again "why", I ask him what does he mean by why? Again in his attempt to belittle the offer he asks "why, why did you come up with that number, let's be realistic, if you can't afford more than your offer then let's look at another vehicle". I never knew that an offer meant that's the maximum value one can "afford". After a good back and forth for about 5 mins that had nothing to do with the sales, his next question is "where are you from", I didn't know that know our nationality had anything to do with the sale, but we answered his question and asked him his own question back to him with hopes of making him realize how personal he was starting to get. Here's the best part, I stop the back and forth and I tell him to stop asking personal questions because it has nothing to do with business and his response was "you're being weird bro" perfect response to a customer! Lol No deal was made and it's very unfortunate that a simple offer made this salesperson get very defensive, show a gross attitude, demeaning behavior, judgmental and overall just showed a horrible a experience to potential buyers. Next time you're making a sale, keep your emotions on check and keep it business nobody has time to deal with sensitivity or find a new career path that's more suitable for your emotions. Learn how to counter offer instead of trying to talk down on people. read more

The guys at the shop were really nice and got me financed even with my horrible credit. However, a week after buying the car, it completely shut off because there was no oil. Three weeks later the engine light came on and now a month later the car won't even start. I'm stuck with a car payment for a vehicle that doesn't work. I understand now why the car was sold as is, which is completely my fault. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. The worst experience I've ever had trying to buy anything. I came in a week ago to discuss a car and find out what kind of down payment I needed. The person at the dealership was helpful and said he would be in touch. He was not. Neither were any of the other people I called throughout the week and spoke to. I was NEVER called back. Not for all the times I called. I decided I was very interested and called yesterday evening to schedule to come buy the car this morning. The person I spoke to, Robert, was very shady when I asked to speak to my original sales person but said he would be there this morning when they opened. No one was there when they opened. I waited 20 mins for someone to show up only to be told that not only was Robert not there but they had loaned my car out to someone who was getting a windshield replaced. They assured me they would see what was going on and get back to me. 3 hours later the original salesman called me and said he would try to get the car to me ASAP. He said he would call me back by 5. Shockingly, he did not. When I called the dealership I was once again relegated to Robert who informed me that despite what I was told on top of everything else they couldn't finance it for me in house as promised. They are also saying the want double the down payment I was originally told. He said he would call me back to figure something out. I'm still waiting. Horrible service and mismanagement. read more

I came in to look at an Acura RDX and had it inspected. The inspection report showed $1800 of repairs that were needed. The biggest issues were loose motor mounts and transmission mounts - which is a serious safety concern. They also told me that there was a possibility that once they made these repairs they would find other issues because they weren't sure what caused the damage. I told all of this to the sales person. In the week since this occurred, the dealership has raise the price of this car over &1.500, knowing that this vehicle has serious safety issues. I really hope that whoever looks at this car that's what I did, and takes it to the Acura dealership. read more

What a great experience! I found the car I wanted on their website and - not gonna lie - was a little surprised when the place looked like a1950's diner. But the people were great, reasonable about letting me get the car checked out and negotiating price. Also, very respectful and professionals in addition to being awesome GOOD people. I'm very happy with my purchase and with meeting these really tremendous people! I will buy my future cars from these guys, no question! read more

I had a great experience here. The manager Chris was great to work with! I recommend this dealership.
