To begin with how I narrowed my call for help to the wonderful David who is the owner, I had been a victim of an attempted car theft (dumb tik tok challenge aka Kia Boys). Someone had broken my driver door lock and entered that way then proceeded to jam my ignition cylinder where I wasn't able to fully engage my keys to turn on my vehicle. I tried to ask the dealership where I had bought my car to fix it but they were too afraid to touch it because it wasn't a vehicle brand they normally work with (bought it at a Honda dealership). So I tried calling the Kia dealership and they were backed up for two weeks for service but they gave me a number to their body shop where they send all their vehicles and the quote I got from them to fix both issues was well over $1k. We googled car locksmiths after our friend had his keys stolen at a bar. A guy showed up in an unmarked van had no clue what to do. He left said be back in 5 minutes came back with a friend an hour later. They still had no clue said they need to get the key fob and will be back in 5 minutes. An hour later they came back and could not key the car. They said they will send someone else in 5 minutes. Another hour passes. We had arrived at 12:00 and it was now about 4:00. eventually a 3rd guy came and looked like he was on the ball but failed to re-key the care. It was now close to 6:00 when we called a 4th guy (His truck is in the image) he said hell be right there and he arrived in a matter of minutes. He said ill have this done in 20 minutes. He checked our friends ID to make sure it was his car he was opening (the other 3 did not do this) He did things the others did not, He did some copy key from the door that is also the back up if the wireless did not start the car and had the wireless unit in his van. ( the other guys had to go find one on a 3rd trip and still failed to key the car) SO this guy keys the lock, reprograms the keyless fob and the car was running with new key and remote and keyless fob and in less then 20 minutes. What took almost 6 hours from people who obviously did not know what they were doing, this guy did it in minutes. It was 110 degrees no place to go for comfort. standing on cement parking lot for 6+hours. YES we tipped him very very well. My advice is DO NOT CALL anyone who uses a call center or operator. They will just dispatch someone who took an on line course in locksmithing and you will end up dreading that decision. Take an image of this guys truck and save it in your phone like we all did. One day and it will happen you will need fast, accurate help and not spend all day in the hot sun watching 3 different people attempting what they knew nothing about. I do not leave reviews unless the situation was very good or horrible. This one is 5 stars. I'm not some paid poster. I am a CEO of a publicly traded company here in NV and don't have time to waste playing online games.
