Since then, my garage door was back-breaking to open, and they told me there was not enough ceiling space to install an automated garage door opener. I got tired of lifting the heavy door, so I called Adam, who responded immediately and diagnosed the problem as a spring that was too small for the 90-pound door and a track that was too close to the wall. For $300, he replaced the spring with the correct size and adjusted the placement of the track. In addition to that, he said he could install an automatic opener using the front wall (not the ceiling) for $575, which he did. And so, after years of putting up with a terrible garage door, Adam has given me a garage door that is easy to open manually and which I can open with a remote. This entire process took under ten minutes, yet the company charged $180.41. This seems excessive and highway robbery. Charging $100 for labor to change and out in a 9-V battery and recommending a specific energizer battery took barely a minute on top of the service call and battery cost. Even the digital pad was still brand new as I replaced it five years ago and it didn't even cost me that much back then. This was truly outrageous and beyond overpriced. Highway robbery!

I reached out to Unlimited Locksmith and was paired with Ahmed, who was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Ahmed quoted me $120-$150 to repair the lock, which was already far more reasonable than another locksmith I had called earlier. That previous company (Wolf&Key) told me the lock was "broken from the inside" and claimed the repair would be complicated--quoting $350 to replace the lock with a new key, or an outrageous $500 if I wanted to keep my original key. Ahmed proved all of that wrong. He arrived quickly, was extremely responsive and communicative, and stuck to his original quote. I ended up paying $150, kept my same key, and didn't need an entirely new lock. He took the time to explain what was actually wrong, including how many internal plates were damaged and what he needed to replace. His knowledge, skill, and attention to detail were obvious. I'm incredibly happy I decided to go with Unlimited Locksmith. Professional, honest, fair pricing, and truly skilled--Ahmed saved me hundreds of dollars and a ton of stress.
