We had been dealing with CarTown Monroe by the foot of the Louisville Bridge for 3 weeks. They had been so nice and have helped us out many times before however, this past weekend we wanted to test drive a Honda Element. Scott Turner, a sales rep there, told us he would put gas in my husband's car if we would put $20 worth of gas in this Honda Element. We had no problem with that. We have been working with them for several weeks and didn't think twice about doing it. We felt they were good to honor their word so we took the car to our mechanic and found several things wrong with the car and decided not to keep it. So we decided to take it back this morning. So I called Scott and asked him if he was going to put gas in the car or if I could bring it by and just get a check. My husband wasn't getting off work until 5pm & my grandmother was going to be in town and could pick me up. He told me he could just give me $20 back...so I went up there only because he told me verbally that he could give me a check. When I told them I didn't want the car, I was met with 3 RUDE men!! One commented that they would never meet our needs and we just needed to go buy a new car. Scott lied and said he never said he would give me money back. Willie, another salesman stated that they would not return my money unless I purchased the car. Then he laughed and said just kidding...So Scott mentioned something about putting gas in my grandmother's car but, I was livid. That was not the agreement! And I told him I was upset because he could have told me that over the phone...I would never returned the car until my husband was with me & then another guy told me I needed to get out of his business and not come back because they have tried to help us out many times and couldn't and I was rude to his salesman. Which I wasn't rude, I was being honest. Our agreement over the phone was that he would just give me $20 check since my husband was at work. I told this other guy I would apologize if he would fill my grandmother's car and he refused. The problem is if I had known I wasn't going to get a check/cash refund, I would have never driven all the way up there and I would have never bothered my grandmother to come pick me up. I would have waited until 5 for my husband to come by...but I was under the assumption that they were just going to give me a $20 refund check. Boy was I wrong. So I told them I was going to call my lawyer and they told me to call as many lawyers as I wanted I wasn't getting my money back. So I left and called a lawyer who told me to file a complaint on the BBB website and also file one with the Monroe Police Dept because this is considered stealing. I don't want any legal hassles, I just want my $20 back. That's not too much to ask. I feel they acted this way toward me because they felt they were not going to get a sale out of us. And honestly we were thinking about buying from them but now with this incident, there's no way we want to do business with them again. :( Just wanted to make you aware of the situation! read more

All has gone well so far... supposed to pick up the vehicle today. We are working with 'car town 2'. They took our vehicle I was pretty sure they wouldn't take as a trade. Worked with us really well to get financing, and honestly while our credits not horrid, it's not amazing. Monthly payments will be very affordable compared to other places we were looking at. The vehicle is pretty basic but has very low miles. That seems to be the way they do it here. Which I'd rather have low miles and sacrifice a few of the perks. There is a warranty that comes with the vehicle. And found out yesterday they handle the pain of registration and plates. Which is great because who really wants to deal with that? Our salesman personally kept in great contact with my husband through the process. Even through a family loss, wake and funeral. Really outstanding loyalty to his job. Can't say I would have done the same. And we probably drug it out longer than they would have liked but I've rushed in to purchases before and always regretted it. They were patient. Had many many people suggest we come here. That says a lot for their reputation in the area. It's worth your time to stop in and talk to them. read more

I purchased a 2010 corvette from Car Town in January. I live in RI and bought the car sight unseen. Justin and Jay walked me through the process, sent me videos and detailed pictures of the vehicle and even delivered the vehicle to a local Chevy dealership so that I could have it inspected prior to my purchase. They ordered me a replacement owner's manual and were truthful in all respects on the condition of the car that I purchased. Even gave me a discount to cover the cost of shipping from LA to RI. My husband and I visited Cartown on Louisville ave. today. We were greet by J D a salesman there. He is very friendly, informative, very easy going. The vehicle we were interested in had been soled. Don't want to be hassled by an annoying car salesman? Then, Car Town is the place. Everyone was kind and helpful. My husband and I looked at serval vehicles before choosing the one we wanted.
