    Sampler plate with Venezuela lemonade

Want something different? This is an especially good choice if you are carnivorous (as in eating @carne"). This placed is tucked in to what looks like a cross between an industrial park and a storage place. Once inside, there is an immediate sense you have entered a different world. Service was quite helpful and there were clearly Venezuelans at home here. I got a huge feast of a sampler of various items, most of which I ended up taking with me. Some items are a bit different, so be advised. The desserts looked completely over the top (literally), so I recommend sharing both the meal and the dessert if you want to be able to carry yourself out.

They recently updated the menu and added a lot more! I've never had anything I didn't like here. I always want to try the milkshakes but I never have room at the end. The mega sampler was such a great addition for anyone new to Venezuelan food or for a couple wanting to split an appetizer or lunch. People often comment on the prices, but the portions are HUGE. That cachapa lasted my friend THREE meals. I took half the mega sampler home and it heated up so well in the air fryer. The only thing I would warn people is even though it is advertised as Venezuelan fast/street food, it is all made fresh and is not drive thru fast so it does take some time, but the wait is so worth it.

Divey little Venezuelan restaurant. Love coming here with my wife on little dates. Good music and fun. Food is awesome, never a bad meal. Love the pork cachapa. And the Mano cheese... nom nom. And the milkshakes!!! Whaaaaa. Have to try. Good ice-cream. And always topped with your voice of brownie or cheesecake or heck. You just have to try. Don't forget the plantains or other sides. Tasty tasty. Service is always great, quick courteous and friendly. This is our go to when in mishawaka!!

This was the first time here with the family, my husband has been here before with his coworkers. We ordered angus burger, winner hotdog, chicken pepito, an pork chop burger with bacon, mixed kabob and i got pabellon and a chicken nuggey dinner for the toddler. The food was good, everyone enjoyed it. Even my slowest devoured her food. Turn around time was fairly fast. Their fries... my favorite crispy kind. Service was maybe not the best tonight. Only one person got refills out of 6. We had to return one of thr appetizers because we asked for one cheese and one beef. Thry sent out 2 beefs and one cheese, and we find they did not remove from the bill (so we had to address that). We had a toddler with us, they just pulled up a regular chair (so i just helped myself and dragged a highchair over). Maybe not the best for large family or maybe we got there on a off day.... maybe tried again

When your are bigger than your stomach. This spread from caracas bistro was just for two people and offered generous leftovers! We ordered: : Double chicken pepito : Arepa (vegetarian) : Cachapa (vegetarian) : Fries (Not pictured): a Nutella milkshake Everything was so good and now that we know the serving sizes are huge, we can properly order enough to not serve a small army next time. We will return to eat in person and enjoy one of their infamous mile-high milkshakes!

All I can say is come here and you will not be disappointed. In fact, you will be so happy and amazed, and leave very, very full. It will become your favorite Venezuelan restaurant outside of Venezuela, and certainly in Mishawaka/ South Bend. I always get the shredded pork cachapa and some plantains. It's huge! And it's so frigging delicious... Afterwards if we aren't too full (only eat half of cachapa) then we order the triple desert. See photos! Yeah, that's our real dessert. Jealous?

Come for the arepas, stay for the milkshakes! This Venezuelan restaurant in Mishawaka has some delicious menu items and I settled on a chorizo arepa with a side of rice. I enjoyed it, but I think I would order something different next time. My friend got one that had beans in it as well as meat and I would have preferred that over just chunks of sausage. The star of the menu though is their milkshakes. Just look at that delicious, hot brownie topped with ice cream and Nutella syrup. Decadent, delicious and a perfect shareable dessert.

Was a bit in the expensive side for the amount of food and how plain the food was, But good taste to the food we ordered.

I came back for lunch today while in town and despite it being a year since my last visit, I remember that the food was definitely better on my last visit than it was today! Bummer. Still about 4 stars though. One thing I remember from my visit last year was just how dark they keep it in there. I get that it is important to save on electric bills, but it doesn't create the best atmosphere. Maybe invest in motion sensor lighting? I had fun looking around the huge space and taking pictures while I waited about 8 minutes for my food to be freshly prepared. I ordered one arepa with a meat mix and sweet plantains and a scoop of chocolate chip ice cream which came to $13 after tax and tip. Skip the ice cream - mine was covered in ice crystals and had a grainy taste. No me gusta. I love arepas and definitely thought mine was tasty but I think they should allow people to get up to 3 toppings in their arepa instead of just 2. My arepa definitely needed a sauce or veggie or some kind. The arepa is also not a great deal as it is 1 kind of small arepa for $8.50. The meat mix I chose was a good choice as the meat was juicy and the portion generous but I was a bit bummed I only had two thin slices of sweet plantains in my arepa. Ordering a combo is definitely your best bet to get the most for your money here. I was trying to keep my lunch small (I'll be having a big hibachi dinner tonight and don't want to be too full for that) but I didn't make the right choices at Bululu Tropical today. I'll be back for sure, but I'll definitely make a smarter food choice and avoid getting anything in the dessert freezer. Also, brush up on your Spanish before coming here! Haha! Nah, you'll manage okay if you don't... but it might help!

Looked like an interesting place. Goodness, it was NOT disappointing! Vibe inside was eclectic, colorful, and fun. Our server was fabulous! Friendly but not obtrusive. Knew the menu well. Did everything with a smile! We started with their fresh made guac and the best freshly made tortilla chips we've ever had in a restaurant. We shared the verde salad...spinach, arugula, chocio corn, white beans, grilled avocado slices, jicama, pepitas, honey garlic dressing. Kinda exciting to get a salad unlike any other! So good! Hubby had the Chochinita Pibil...yucatan slow-roasted pork with all the fixings (look at the menu for details) and accompanied by their freshly made, banana leaf wrapped corn tortillas. I had the Peruvian Street Chicken, stacked high on the plate with, among other things, olive tapenade and the most delicious charred lightly smashed potatoes. It was HUGE and easily could have served 2-3 people (needless to say, we doggie-bagged mire than half of it!). Again, unique and taste-bud exploding flavors! Hubby tried, and enjoyed, their hose brewed Mexican lager which he says was crisp and malty. I cannot fail to mention the beverage I tried (on server's recommendation), the Mole Dream Mezcalita. Spicy. Cold. Good to the last savored sip! Will we go again? YES! Might even bring some friends for a quick road trip!

For dinner, I got the chicken tinga dorados and was very satisfied; for $9, this appetizer was absolutely enough to be a full dinner for me and was very tasty. I don't love the space here for a lot of reasons, but the food is great and the service was relatively quick once we got seated. Looking forward to a return visit the next time I'm in town!
